Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Charles County

Less than .5 miles from sand . The kids loved staying at the house versus a hotel ! Was the perfect spot to relax and go on the deck to hear the water . Would definitely go back for another vacation.

The location on the Potomac River is stunningly beautiful and relaxing. Craig was super responsive and helpful. The large lot next to the house is special. We had so much room for activities and spent all of our time outside next to the river. It was like having our own personal park on the water. The dock is also a wonderful place to enjoy the beauty.

This was our 2nd time staying here because we loved the place so much, and Kathryn was always responsive when we had a question about the home. Our daughters love all of the toys and the spaciousness of the home. We love it because it was clean and had everything we need there. The home is in a very walkable and beautiful neighborhood. The beach and restaurants are a short 10 minute walk with a restaurant and great brewery even closer. Again, it was very hard to get our daughters to leave. They constantly kept saying “I love this house and don’t want to go”. We highly recommend staying here if you want an enjoyable and peaceful place to stay in historic Colonial Beach.

I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnb’s and this was easily one of the best. Everything was exactly as described, and maybe even better than described. It had tons of amenities and a well stocked kitchen perfect for our large family. Spotless and beautiful. I highly recommend this home and would gladly stay there again.

My husband and I really enjoyed the home. It was clean and had everything you need. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. We really enjoyed using the grill and hanging out on the private patio area. I would highly recommend staying in this cute and cozy home.

This house was great! It had everything we needed while traveling with a baby. Jacqueline was so helpful, friendly and such a pleasant person. Very caring and was available everyone I reached out to her. The house was very comfortable. Our group of 10 had no complaints. I would 100 percent recommend this house to friends and family. The space was exactly what was listed. It was perfect for an extended weekend. The washer/dryer was a nice addition and the neighborhood was very walkable for morning walks. Thank you, Ryan, for sharing your home with us!

TODD’S is KING! We have been searching for our new home & have stayed in 2 of their buildings. TODDs’ customer service has been fast, reliable & friendly! TODD’s has made us feel relaxed & welcomed during our visits. Our cat feels at home here, too! He has been anxious in other Abnbs, so it’s a great benefit. Their units are clean & stocked with essentials — like bathroom, laundry & kitchen supplies. The bed is super comfy as is the living room couch. The TV is large & U can stream your favorite channels. They even supply a safe — for your valuables — and an ironing board & iron for that quick press! A big closet, too! We have very much appreciated TODD’S staff for many reasons. They WANT to help & they WANT their guests happy. They went out of their way to help us elongate our stay, when we realized we needed more time! They kindly juggled other reservations to ensure we could stay longer. Such a pleasant surprise & experience! We recommend TODD’s highly!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Mr. Theo’s place. We needed a short term stay (2.5 months) while our house was being built and Mr. Theo was a God send! Mr. Theo’s place was clean and absolutely beautiful. The place has everything you need for a short or longer visit. Mr. Theo is the best host. He was always responsive to my questions and truly treats you like family. If you are looking for a place to stay make your booking you won’t regret it.

Brittany was wonderful. The condo was perfect, so central to everything, clean, well stocked and the blankets were the perfect added touch for early morning porch coffee. The location cannot be beat, literally right at the shore line. The only thing to mention is the live music next store at the tiki bar went on til about 11:30 on Saturday. Nothing to do with Brittany, but worth a mention if you’re a family trying to put a kid down to bed.

Wonderful abnb in the heart of King George. Pam has been great with communication and understanding during a stay with my two younger children. This place beats staying at a hotel and I Would love to come back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great place with fantastic views of the Potomac . Close to many dining options within walking distance. We went for a Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. I highly recommend.

This place was very cozy and had lots of amenities! Erin was very accommodating, responsive, and gave thorough instructions.

Our family had a wonderful stay in this spacious, new apartment with waterfront view. Check-in was a breeze and host communication was great. Location is ideal, right next to the sand and restaurants. Note that a nearby bar does have live music until about 10pm-11pm, but the bedroom is thoughtfully equipped with a sound machine, and it never bothered us. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need. One small thing that would make the place even better: if there were beach towels, a pair of simple beach chairs and a beach umbrella. This equipment would mean that guests would not have to bring this from home or buy. This is a fantastic place and we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place to stay. Host was responsive and gave clear instructions. Clean and tidy. Really helped made our vacation great! Parking is a little hard to find but the host gave clear instructions on where to get to the parking.

This place worked wonders for our family vacation. the place is very new and updated with 2 full bathrooms that were clean and spacious for beach time and baths with kids. colonial beach is a hidden gem in a historic little town that seems as though at one point was hustling and bustling but isn't quite as popular as it once was but trying to come back. if your a family looking for a uncrowded beach and some activities to do in the area then this place is great! we actually read about this place being in the heart of historic downtown. only thing we would have loved to see with this place is some outdoor patio spot at the home directly to be able to sit outside together. the location does not really have any night life during the week, not even on 4th of July. we went out at 9 pm and the bar closed at 10 pm which seemed way too early for a Thursday and holiday and being on the beach.

After a little miscommunication on the arrival time, everything was at it should be or better. Great location, clean, responsive well worth it. Great experience and will be back regularly.

Brandons place was amazing! A 5 story palace that gave everyone staying here a lot of space. Walkable to the local spots for drinks and food. Please stay at this place if you have high standards and love a home-like spot. Thank you brandon

Had an amazing beachfront experience! I was taken aback by the breathtaking views from the balcony. Our host was attentive and made sure everything was in order for our arrival.
