This Earthen house is made of sand, straw and clay. Nestled in a valley it is a peaceful and unique getaway. The cabin has four comfortable single beds and electricity, a wood stove for winter. This was absolutely a perfect place for our adventure!! What a beautiful home on a great piece of property overlooking the valley. It was like Gloria and Jeff knew what we would need if we had forgotten anything. I love to cook and the kitchen(and outdoor grill) had everything that I needed. Relaxing while watching the sun rise between the two barns, enjoying the sunset and stars while making smore's in the firepit, and playing some albums while we played games. Our dog Reggie enjoyed the stay as well. We were able to meet Gloria and learn about the property and surrounding area. She was great. Even brought by some fresh rhubarb crisp. We will definitely be making a future trip back to GloryView!!! Thanks for a Great Getaway!!

Stayed here with some extended family and really enjoyed it. The setting was beautiful and quiet, with a great view. The cabin/house was comfortable with a good aesthetic and had everything we needed. The game room in the garage was a nice touch, the kids were big fans. Host was friendly and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

Retreat on the Beach! EV Friendly! Hot tub!

Our family of eight adults, a toddler and two infants greatly enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Jeff’s lake home in May. Despite some cooler temps, we had a wonderful time utilizing the gathering space on the balcony, fire pit and hot tub and a couple of us even ventured out on the lake on the stand up paddle boards. We were able to buy groceries on our way up about 30 minutes from the lake house and were able to prepare all our meals in the well-stocked kitchen. Our adult kids found it very easy to go the Dell’s that was only about 30 minutes away for an afternoon of fun activities too. I enjoyed being able to take walks around the lake and on the trail down by the very scenic Yellow River which was only about a half mile away and there were a lot of interesting birds there too. We created a lot of wonderful memories for our family and Jeff was an amazing and responsive host. Looking forward to a return visit! 💜

This place was extremely beautiful and clean, had a great view and space that accommodated our big family. Kitchen had all the appliances needed to cook, had a nice relaxing massage chair. I would highly recommend booking this place, communication was open and didn’t have a problem responding to any inquiries we had. Will be going back soon.

My family and I stayed at the Driftless Escape Cabin and had a wonderful time! The interior was even more beautiful in person with plenty of space for my whole family. The Kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfy and they had everything you needed. The property was gorgeous with lots of open space and amazing views. We loved playing in the yard and s’mores by the fire. And even though the cabin is close to town, we still felt like we were miles away in nature and truly disconnected!!
