Lake house vacation rentals in Black Lake

We had a great time. Very beautiful scenery on a peaceful lake. We enjoyed absolute relaxation and didn’t have much reason to leave.

I don’t know where to begin. This was one of the best stays I’ve ever had! It is a beautiful home in a beautiful location! Sara was so friendly and communicative! Very proactive in reaching out to me and always responsive when I reached out to her. I will be back!! Thanks Sara!!

Such a beautiful place right on the water! The dock was still in so we were able to bring our boat and dock it at the house. This is the perfect up north getaway! We may book again since the property is just down the road from the snowmobile trail! The house was very clean and spacious. It has a better layout than what is pictured.

Debra was wonderful to accommodate our needs to be able to check in and get to our Elk viewing in a timely fashion. House was very clean. The area was beautiful with lots of fresh snow.

As a group of 8 we were worried about privacy and space. Once we arrived we were blown away at all the space, the amazing location and amenities. Kyle and Alena were beyond accommodating and helpful. We couldn’t have gotten through the weekend without them and or without the help of their friends and family. We felt like we had been coming to their place for years !! Any questions we had they answered right away and even gave us super helpful tips and advice for our stay ! We really appreciate you all, and cannot wait to return !! 16 out of 10 ;) If you are visiting rent the pontoon boat !! The area has so much to do and see and the price is a steal !

I'm not at all surprised that we were pleased with our stay; what surprised me was how much I agreed with the other fantastic reviews! Bill's experience in hospitality and excellent taste, attention to detail, and kindness pair wonderfully with the gorgeous location to create a truly phenomenal stay. We've had many great stays elsewhere, but this is as close as I've ever come to a friend tossing me the keys to their lake house for the weekend. The house is very well outfitted and cared for, with a top- notch kitchen and many thoughtful touches. Bill even took us on a boat ride around the lake during our stay! We've already reserved another stay. There is definitely a reason it is booked through the end of summer!! Highly recommend staying here and renting with Bill.

Have stayed in a lot of places and Chris's home is very clean and comfy.Didnt think we was going to get to stay here and Chris made it happen thank you so much . We enjoyed our stay .

An excellent and peaceful stay with beautiful lake views, accomodations that make it easy to feel right at home and excellent additions to bring your stay over the top like the barrel sauna!

Sarah is so kind to offer late checkout, which helps us a lot due to the late arrival from a car accident. The place is so nice and good view and access to the lakeside, we had a good morning time. And the kids enjoyed a lot the different kinds of toys. It’s a place I would be recommended to my friends.

We only stayed a night but it’s on my list to go back to once the weather starts getting nicer.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the house and its surroundings. The house exceeded our expectations; it had everything we needed and more! Loved the game room, the dock, fire pit, and deck! We’ll be back!!

Came up to Helena’s place this past weekend with some girlfriends. We decided to have a weekend away to come together and bond. We loved the view, the house was the perfect size for us 3. The commute to places was great and the people were really nice. We plan to come back one day!

I had a girls weekend with my best friends and their kids! The kids loved the bunk beds, and the fact that they had their own little space. They loved playing on the beach and especially the hot tub! We had a bonfire, relaxed on the beach, grilled out and of course used the hot tub every night! The house itself was very cozy and had plenty of space for all of us. Definitely recommend, and we will for sure be back again later this summer! Thank you so much for hosting us! :)

Convenient launching pad for winter adventures. Under 10 minute drive to Treetops which was perfect for our weekend ski trip.

House was beautiful and there was plenty of room for the bride and bridesmaids. Host responded to my questions very quickly. My only regret is that out of 3 days we were only at the house for about 15 hours - long enough to sleep a few hours early each morning. We spent the majority of our time at the wedding venue decorating - it took 23 hours - and then putting on the wedding and cleaning up. A snowstorm hit the first night. We passed the snow removal guy the next morning on our way back to the venue. He cleared out all the snow before we returned early the next morning.

This is a fantastic home just a few steps from Hubbard Lake. My wife and two adult children stayed here for an extra long Memorial weekend. It was easy to find and easy to gain access. The home is very clean, very quiet, and quite comfortable. The kitchen looks brand new and has very modern appliances. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable, and private. We especially enjoyed all the little touches provided by the hosts: big beach towels, a s'mores basket, extra toiletries, many games, etc. The owners are communicative and responsive. I will definitely stay here again!

This was an amazing place to see northern Michigan. The place was clean, organized and had more than enough amenities provided! James and Dawn are wonderful hosts!

Lovey home. Beautiful location. Very clean. Amply stocked. Great communication. For those who have problems with many stairs…. This is NOT a good fit. There are twenty steps each time you enter or leave the home. Outside there are more stairs to move to the lower level.

The location and cottage are fantastic. We enjoyed an awesome week at the lake with great fishing and peaceful fun times with family. Brought a boat for the week and thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the large sand bar on the lake. Julie was a great host who communicated clearly with everything and made things so easy for us. The location is about as private as it can get being on a lake which made it for a quiet peaceful week! Would definitely rent again!

We had a wonderful time! The house was as described and felt like home. The view is fantastic. We enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the deck overlooking the water.
