Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Bald Head Island

We had such a good time staying here! We enjoyed both pools & both outdoor hot tubs, took walks around the property, went to the beach which isn’t packed & family friendly, found an AWESOME playground nearby & enjoyed lotssss of ice cream! The place was super clean, comfy & inviting!

We had a wonderful stay at Tammy’s condo! She was a great host and quickly responded late on our first night when we had issues with turning on the thermostat. The view is beautiful, the beach was peaceful, and the condo was clean and had everything we needed. We were just steps to the boardwalk for beach access, which was perfect with 2 littles. Would definitely stay again!

Was promised beach and awesome location and beach was what we got! Awesome sunrises, great views! We watched dolphins frolic in the surf. The home was away from noise and hustle and bustle. There were beach chairs, kites, some beach toys. It was what we needed!

In addition to having the basics, the host also provided teas, coffees, lots of extra linens, and more to make the stay very convenient. Teuta always responded quickly, making it easy to ask any follow ups or for help.

We enjoyed the condo. It was about a 5 minute drive to beach without traffic. The Perla happy hour had amazing oysters!

Cute condo just a short walk to the beach. There is a nice relaxing balcony to sip coffee or relax after being in the sun all day. The beach isn’t as busy and with the rocks it helps keep the waves at bay for the little ones. There is access to an outdoor pool and also if the weather doesn’t cooperate there is an indoor pool and workout room. My family enjoyed our visit, and would stay here again.

Loved our stay! Beautifully decorated condo with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. We loved the convenience of the provided beach chairs and umbrella. The beach is just a short walk away. We felt right at home and Nicole was very sweet and communicated from the reservation to check out.

Lisa was a phenomenal host! She was always quick to reply to messages and questions and encouraged us to reach out if we had more. In a gorgeous golf community, Barefoot Bungalow was beautiful, clean, comfortable and inviting - we just loved it!! We also loved that the pool was right across the parking lot and spent a couple of days there! The beach, restaurants, and shopping were just a short drive away. We would definitely stay here again!!

Awesome place in an awesome location. Very peaceful and quiet and literally just minutes from the beach. Joe and Jenna are fabulous hosts, so friendly and almost immediate responses to any questions.

Everything was great! Very clean and plenty of space for the 5 of us. Loved the pools and hot tub after busy days of sightseeing. It felt just like home. Would definitely book again.

Having rented houses/condos in Sunset since 1973, we appreciate accommodations that are particularly well-stocked, clean, convenient, well cared for, and especially those whose owners communicate well, are accommodating, and have taken the time to furnish for what renters want for their vacation. Steve and this condo met all these criteria, and we will certainly rent from him again! Thank you!

Great location near the Sea Trail golf course off the 17th green. Chuck was an excellent communicator in our stay and made the trip a great experience.

Location was great, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the beautiful windows that let in so much sunshine and super close to the beach!

My family had a great vacation at Patty’s place. The room was as described. Patty was quick to respond. Even though we were in a condo with others around us the room was surprisingly sound proof. The area was a quick walk to the beach and a quick drive to the local restaurants and coffee shops. There was some maintenance on the hot tub and playground but both were accessible mid week. Over all it was a great experience and a nice location.

Perfect house for family vacation. Great middle location between the beach and river walk area. House was just as described and had everything need for a home away from home. Cathy was easy to communicate with and very quick to get back. Certainly will put this on our list for next Wilmington NC vacation.

Wow this Airbnb was one of the best I stayed at. The host, Roy, was super kind and let us check in early and even check out late. He made the space so welcoming with freshly planted lavender and other plants. We got to meet the lovely Samantha ray (his German shepherd) that brightened our day. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bedding and towels were soft and comfortable. The backyard was such a beautiful space, it was open and allowed for a great family get together. Also Roy made sure to have plenty of coffee arrive prior to our stay which was greatly appreciated by the 5 coffee fanatics. I would definitely recommend this location to families and others wanting a great location with a quiet neighborhood. We definitely would stay here again.

Great weekend stay. Close to the beach, Southport and Bald Head Island. Host was very responsive and attentive. Our daughter even forgot an item that they found and sent back to us!

Really great stay in Wilmington. Tripp's place was perfect. It's very spacious and full of amenities. Easy access to head up to the UNCW campus area and on the south part of town for a quick ride down to Carolina Beach with plenty of restaurants, shopping nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks

We were impressed how comfortable her place was for us. We were moving from New Jersey to Leland and had a gap between closings and needed a comfortable place for an 8 night stay and it was absolutely perfect. Its a beautiful comfortable home and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Extremely happy with our choice of accomodations. Highly recommend. Beautiful neighborhood and pool area too. Just lovely.

We had a great stay! This was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do and it was perfect for a quick kid free weekend away.

We reserved this spot months ago and showed up just in time for a hurricane. John the host sent regular updates on the storm's status and was responsive to any questions we had along the way. The hurricane passed and we got to get out and experience the beach, restaurants and endless ice cream opportunities - all of which John recommended. Having access to that shed of equipment was also awesome. From the fishing poles to the boogie boards and paddle boards, it was all appreciated. Great house, exceptional host, and nice little beach town to visit.

Had a lovely stay at this condo in Winding River. We’ve been coming to this amazing community for years for beach getaways - and this stay was far and away one of our favorites. Clean, comfortable, has everything you need - five stars! We’ll be back 🥰
