Beachfront vacation rentals in Avalon

We stayed at the Dana’s Ocean View residence in Huntington Beach for several days in early May 2025. We brought our small pup hoping to find a location that was close to the beach and near restaurants and stores. Its proximity to so many places within walking distance means we can spend more time staying active and exploring places nearby. After long days of fun and sun, the back patio with a fire pit and grill meant we could relax outside while the ocean breeze rolled in. The residence itself was clean and well maintained. We would spend time here again without hesitation. Thank you Dana for allowing us to stay here!

We loved this place! The location was amazing, just minutes from the beach & walkable to great shopping and restaurants. Host was very responsive with any questions we had. We would definitely recommend this property.

We absolutely loved our stay at Margaret’s place! The location is perfect…2 blocks to Main Street and 2 blocks to the beach. Very easy to get in, and we loved having a garage parking spot for our car. We used the bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach towels, which made for a lovely stay near the beach. We would definitely recommend this place, and will hopefully be back in the future!!

Not only was the house wonderful, and in the best location, but I’ve never experienced such a kind and accommodating host. Kirk was the best, and his oceanfront house was a dream! It had all the amenities and more. I will definitely be back to this gem!

This place was perfect for our family! My husband always has a difficult time sleeping away from home, but he didn’t have trouble sleeping here! The beds are super comfortable, along with the linens, pillows, etc. We were able to get great use out of the wagon and boogie boards. I loved the location; we walked to the beach in under 10min, walked to the grocery store, and of course my husband enjoyed his morning walk to Starbucks every morning. The kitchen had a beautiful gas stove where we enjoyed cooking every night. Greg, I can’t thank you enough for our best family trip yet!!!

Chris and Michelle were very responsive hosts. We loved the location and were thrilled with the little toys, books, and beach items provided for our use.

We had an alternate booking cancel less than 24 hours of arrival so I was in a panic to find something dog friendly. John responded immediately to my booking request and was very helpful. The place ended up being a great location a block from the beach and just a walk to lots of great food. Very clean. Thank you!

Seriously....just rent it is worth every cent. I am an exhausted 1st responder and booked this getaway at the last moment. I don't know if it's the beautiful furnishings, the incredible view, the huge golf cart to use during your stay, or the huge selection of coffee pods!!!! I will be back for sure and these incredible hosts are wonderful 💖

Beautiful and peaceful, can't ask for anything else in paradise!

Loved the space, having two bedrooms was perfect, the living space was a good size, and the kitchen was well-appointed. The balcony is wide and has a beautiful view of the whole harbor, with two seating areas (including an umbrella), and a grill. The washer/dryer right outside the unit was very helpful. The harbor-facing bedroom does get a lot of sun in the morning and, though the windows have full shades, I’d recommend a sleep mask (I slept great). The golf cart was indispensable and reliable though as other reviewers mentioned it’s been around the block a bit and can be clunky to operate. We messaged Tom once with an appliance issue (entirely due to our own ignorance; nothing wrong with it!) and he immediately responded. Check in and check out were straightforward. Would definitely stay here again.

If you are not sure if this is the place to be, this is the place to be. Amazing views, great host and lovely compound. The place is 15 min from the hustle and bustle of tourist downtown. There is a golf cart to get you downtown when you want. Not great if you hate walking up stairs because there is no elevator to the suite but the walk up the stairs is easy. Love it and would book again.

You may have a life changing experience visiting Catalina staying at Brent’s location. It is truly special and it was worth every penny. Plan accordingly and use the resources given to you by Brent and the locals. 12/10

The condo looked just like the listing and the view was perfect! It was spacious, felt so private and the golf cart is a game changer, letting us really enjoy the island. I loved having a kitchen to cook! The only bummer - and no one’s fault - was the bedroom wall connects to the neighbors living room, so it was really loud when we were trying to sleep. Recommend ear plugs if you’re a sensitive sleeper. 😊 Also, a couple of the house instructions were incorrect but the property management team helped us navigate. Overall a wonderful stay and we’ll definitely be back!

Amazing time In Catalina and the Golf cart allowed our family to explore the restaurants and fish. We lost count of how many fish we caught, would definitely come again!

We had heard great reviews about the air B n B rentals at Hamilton Cove from my sister who had stayed there before. We were extremely pleased with the beautiful condo as well as the location to the beach, pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts and many more fun things to do all within minutes of a walk. We will stay here when we come visit again as it was quiet, private and such a beautiful cove and beach. We want to also say how helpful, nice and accommodating our hosts were. We arrived on the early ferry planning to use the beach until our check in, however it rained. We walked to the rental agency right in town, they let us check in early and helped the 5 of us with all of our luggage get a van taxi. Easy & friendly. Thank you for the extra blankets as well as the later check out as well. Our stay was very comfortable, followed by 2 days of sunshine, beach and paddle boarding-not to mention all of the tennis we played. It felt like we were staying in the lovely Spanish Mediterranean. Beautiful location with a great view and amenities. The condo was comfortable and clean, perfect for a small group.

My family and I had a great time at Hamilton Cove! We stayed for the week and had an amazing view of the ocean and couldn't have asked for a better villa..The team was very responsive, kind, and professional! I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a great experience with some privacy and incredible views while being just 10 minutes away from everything else!

This unit has great views and host is very responsive with flexibility. The unit is a little dated but overall experience is great.
