Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Alexandria

Peter was among the most approachable and responsive hosts we have ever stayed with. The home was beautiful, spacious, and cozy at the same time. We had a 10-day stay there and we felt immediately at home. We highly recommend this rental.

From the very beginning, Tim was extremely attentive and answered all of my questions immediately. I knew what to expect as soon as I walked in. The house fit 2 families and 2 large lazy dogs without feeling cramped. Having water access was amazing, the kids fished all day while the parents enjoyed time on the patio. The kids were able to take kayaks out to fish as well. The water grass made it a little difficult to keep an eye on the kids from the patio area, but not enough to be a problem. The water is very shallow but we were able to park our rented boat (Mac's Boat Rental-super awesome to the kids) without a problem. This house is exactly what we were looking for; private, waterfront and allowed dogs heavier that 20lbs-which is difficult to find. This house was a gem and we will gladly rent again! Thanks Tim!

We loved our stay in this cabin! We had absolutely everything we needed for our trip with our two families. We enjoyed the spacious dining table, perfect for playing games! The beds were all comfortable and there are a ton of extra blankets to stay super cozy. We loved the location and hiked to Gull Lake as well as several trails in the Ha-De-Ron-Dah Wilderness. Being on the main road made driving to trailheads extremely easy. We also loved hanging out in the wooded backyard. Would highly recommend coming to check out this part of the Adirondacks, especially if you have young kids. Derrick went above and beyond to make us feel welcome in his home.

We had a great time at Shawn’s rental. It was just like the description and like the other reviews have said. It felt like being at your grandmas house. We even got to enjoy a fire by the water. Shawn was very responsive and accommodating. We would definitely go back.

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night! Looking forward to our next stay, and more amazing family moments. Thank you Meagan!

Great hosts! They thought of everything from snacks, to shampoo/conditioner/body soap in the showers, as well as a very informative notebook of places to go. The house was warm, welcoming, and peaceful - loved the fire pit. Looking forward to our next stay here.

What a fabulous find! This place is in such a wonderful location. The space itself was very comfortable and cozy, clean and welcoming. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The hot tub overlooking the St. Lawrence River took everything to the next level!

This place was beautiful and well worth the price. This place is very well kept and equipped for all of your needs. The bed was very comfortable, there's also plenty of sitting area, inside and out. Great. Charming little home with everything I needed for my stay. Fully equipped kitchen is a huge bonus and saved me big $ on having to rely on restaurants or powdered eggs (yuck) at a hotel. I’m new to using Airbnbs but will not stay anywhere else for my 3 or more day away stays.

Loved Racheal’s cabin in the woods. The cabin was beautifully decorated and the surrounding area was so peaceful . There were hand written notes with helpful information placed in convenient locations. A lot of thought has been put into making you feel welcome. There are so many nice touches to mention, like the basket of slippers and the basket of blankets to use by the fire. This was one of my favourite places. I Was able to see a Deer very close to the front door. The cabin had pretty much everything that you would need and more. Would have loved to stay a couple more days because the time went by really quickly. There is a nice variety of games and activities so you always have something to do. Can’t wait to go back to the cabin in the woods!

Very nice place to stay in the winter and I’m sure the summer as well! It’s a very well built cabin with many large windows to see the nature outside. The super high ceilings in this cabin made it feel very open but cozy. There is tons of wood to fill the wood stove and a hot tub right out side the back door, what else could you ask for? Overall great experience, I would highly recommend and look forward to staying at here again.

This was our second stay at "A Little Cabin In the Woods" As with our first visit, we were very pleased with the cabin and the serenity of the natural surroundings. My wife and I are already talking about a return trip during the winter! Thanks Olivia!

We had a great time at Bonnie’s cabin. Not too far to get into town but also felt very secluded and private. Excellent place for a weekend getaway and the cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed. Would definitely go back!

Judy’s place the Camp Cocoon, was beautiful and amazing. Even though we had to leave a day early we did enjoy that cabin & got to see a sky full of stars Friday evening after the clouds disappeared. Highly recommend!!

Amazing. Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had on this platform. The place looks exactly like its photos, the kitchen had every amenity necessary, very spacious, exceptionally clean and tidy, all round fantastic. The location? Wonderful! Yes, it is quite remote. Stock up before you head there, but it’s a spot that once you reach there, you have no desire to leave. The water is an amazing view from the living room and extremely easily accessible. The grounds were well maintained, the fire pit was easy to use and everything down to lighter fluid was provided. I’m from a totally different part of the world and this cabin felt like home. I visited during the winter and it snowed, but the cabin was extremely warm all throughout the stay. The stove was easy to use, all the convenience of a dishwasher etc. All details were perfect. I would thoroughly recommend this listing to anyone, and my family had such a fabulous time, they’re already asking when next they’ll be back.
