Family-friendly vacation rentals in Alberta Arts District

This place was amazing. It was so nice to experience something completely different and old fashioned. Wish we could have stayed another couple of days so that I could spend some more time playing the piano and taking in the fresh air.

Awesome place! We really enjoyed our stay at Malcolm’s place. The house is beautiful and it feels like home, the TVs on every room and the living room are very convenient, the internet is great, our children really enjoyed the pool table. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Malcolm was very attentive and really easy to talk to. We had a really great time.

What a cute place to stay, they gave us a tour of the non profit farm and got to see all the animals and 750lbs Gertie the friendly pig. They washed dishes for us and anything we needed. I would recommend staying at this farm if you love farm animals.

We stay with Therese about twice a year and have done so for years. It is close to our adult granddaughter's apartment and is a great place for our family to hang out together for meals and movies and other family activities. We love the peaceful surroundings including many big, beautiful old trees and proximity to the river. And though we have been coming for years, we still discover new things. This trip two of the new things in the neighborhood include J&R Mexican Food on McLoughlin, which has very tasty and reasonably priced Mexican food, as well as discovering Stringfield Family Park only a few blocks away on SE Naef Rd. It is also along the Trolley Trail (another good things for fitness walkers to know about in the neighborhood. Stringfield is a lovely place to have a picnic or stroll along a creek whose residents include ducks and nutria, and if you have playground age kids, they will love the fun and creative play structures! We always love staying at Therese's!

My husband and I rented this space to see some of the local sites. It was close enough to downtown without being right in down town. It had a lovely atmosphere and just enough space for the two of us. The hosts were great about getting back to us about our questions and communitacted when they needed to come into the driveway of the airbnb for a delivery. We had a great time and really appreciated the space.

The house was very comfortable, clean, and homey. Our host was very responsive any time I reached out and made sure we had everything we needed. I would just caution anyone with mobility issues that the driveway is steep and there are steep stairs at the entrance to the house. There are handrails at both places that are helpful. We would stay here again.

This was our second time staying at Melissa's. We love it. Super cozy, great clawfoot tub, and Melissa is great.

It is very peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub on the deck adds a feeling of luxury. The internal stairs are quite narrow but manageable (we went up and down these all the time), and if you are not limber you should take the external stairs that are nice and wide. VERY comfortable bed. Overall highly recommend and will likely come back

The Art House perfectly met our needs. From the cozy fireplace to the comfy beds, we felt right at home on this mother-daughter time away. Leah was very responsive and provided a clear balance of privacy and friendliness -- respecting our time alone but inviting us to stop by to say hello should we choose :) We're looking forward to returning with the rest of the family.

We had to book this place last minute (day of) as our previous accommodations had cancelled on us. Susan was so easy to work with and was very helpful! Couldn’t have asked for a better saving of the day. The house was very clean, and was perfect for our group of gals. We had 1 guest that is severely allergic to dogs and even though this is a pet friendly house, not once did she have any type of reaction which goes to show just how clean the house was. I would absolutely recommend to a friend!

Loved the place. Quiet, clean, close to everything in NE Portland. Veronika is very responsive and great to work with. Will definitely stay again.

Awesome stay at Denny’s place. This is the second time I stayed there because the location is perfect and the apartment is sweet. It is everything you could need for a fun visit to Portland especially if you are a walker! My dog Ozzie gives five stars for the private backyard.

Dave and Deb’s home was great for a couple and our two small pups! The basement apartment felt private and noise was minimal. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing and photos, and Dave and Debra were so kind and communicative (and gave us some bagels and wine - thank you!!). We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Amy's house was perfect for us! We were in Portland for our daughters's wedding and there were always lots of people around. The kitchen, dining room and living room are one big open space so it was great to have people over. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are updated. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils and basics such at spices, etc. As a host, Amy was very responsive, accommodating and generous. The location in the heart of the Alberta Arts District is charming with lots of shops and restaurants, but the house is far enough off the main drag that it is quite peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Michelle was a great host and the house worked out great for my stay! She was willing, and able, to accommodate my request for an earlier check-in which was really helpful for me and was very responsive throughout the stay. The house was very clean, and had everything needed to make my stay very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when in the area!

We were very comfortable in Bridget’s place. It was tastefully decorated and the outside garden was lovely. The surrounding neighborhood was peaceful and perfect for walking about in the Portland Springtime.

This is the second time my elderly dad stayed here and he loves it very much. He considers it his “Portland getaway” now. It’s just right for him in every way—so nicely decorated, accessible, homey. He loves that he can walk on his own to get coffee down the street and not get lost. And Andy and Gina are wonderful hosts. My dad has already said he can’t wait to come back again!

Shelly was an amazing host. She asked our favorite snacks and coffee so she could have it ready when we got there. Shelly is very responsive and thoughtful.

Jayme’s place was very convenient for us when we came to Wilsonville to visit our family. Clean nice place and it’s great for us that she shares her house on Airbnb when she is not at home!!

Julie was a generous host. It was a peaceful place for my family to stay and easy for our local family to come for meals and visit. Every morning we had coffee on the large private deck. We sat on the deck some evenings and enjoyed the fresh air and complete lack of mosquitoes. The two full bathrooms for the five of us were essential. We booked this house to have a great place to stay-in and have local family over but it was also close to many things in Portland. The zoo and the science museum were two of them. Julie was responsive to requests and just a very kind person.

Sonny's home is absolutely stunning. Don't hesitate at all to book -- we were between this Airbnb option and another in the area, and we are so glad we picked this one! We are so happy with how our stay turned out. Not only is the home well laid out with several amenities and lounging areas, but the views cannot be beat. Sonny was a lovely host. He was responsive as I was planning my trip and helpful in recommending local places. He had many recommendations for the area and genuinely cared about us having a good vacation. The amenities in the Airbnb are lovely (toiletries, dyson devices, sauna). The home was a perfect getaway for a family celebration, and we felt so special staying there. We would absolutely come again!
