Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Upstate South Carolina

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! We loved it so much, this was our 2nd stay. Group of 13 friends just hanging out for the weekend. Things that stand out include the absolutely pristine bathrooms and the fully stocked kitchen. All the pans, utensils, cutting boards, baking pans, etc. you need. Lots of places I've been to don't have things like measuring cups but they have everything. When we had questions, response was fast. Nice common area for everyone to hang out in. Just a great place.

We had a great stay! It was nice to be able to feel right at home, especially after a long drive from Florida. Sven loved the pet friendly openess of the home and being able to roam around out back in a fenced in area.

This is our family's third stay, and we're a bit biased as we know we will stay here in the future. Ronald and Amy are outstanding hosts prepare for the stay by asking if you have any special requests. There is easy access to an immaculately clean house that is well-stocked with treats. The furniture is comfortable, and with the open layout, conversation throughout the kitchen, dining, and sitting areas is easy. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are large and clean. The house is easily accessible to downtown and the interstate. It's in a very quiet neighborhood. Lastly, Ronald and Amy check in daily, offering a daily hello and offers of assistance.

I have never stayed at a more well stocked rental. If you forgot anything, no worries, she probably has it in the house! Joan left some very thoughtful, personal touches like having the heated blanket turned on for me when I arrived, a bowl of treats, etc. My favorite part is a tie between the gorgeous claw foot soaking tub which I used every night, and the beautiful view of the mountains from a large picture window. The location was really beautiful, and had a grocery store and multiple gas stations within a few miles of the house. The only thing that kept it from being perfect, was the spotty wifi, which is understandable in the mountains, but all the lighting was hooked to Google, so Google either didn't understand, or the wifi kept failing for the commands. It just seemed it took 5x as long to turn on a lamp, than simply turning the switch. I ended up unhooking the one in the bedroom during my stay. I would highly recommend this rental, and Joan is an amazing host.

Very clean and quiet home. Our stay was great we had beautiful views. Sadly we didnt spend alot of time in the home as we were visiting family. Great vacation home if you just want to relax and get away.

Having stayed in a number of houses on this street before, I knew it was a great location and in walking distance to town. From the start Kirk was very communicative and available to any questions or needs we had. The setup is a little different as there are two separate houses sharing common deck and outdoor space but only one of the houses has a full kitchen setup and you have to walk through one bedroom to get to another in the front house. Considering it was a "girls" trip it wasn't an issue for us but traveling with other couples it could be. Sitting outside on the deck, listening to the creek run is one of the best things about this property!

Don and Renie are top notch hosts! They have thought of everything to make your stay perfect-snacks, drinks, comfortable mattresses, ample towels, games, and even a frozen pizza in the fridge! Their mountaintop rental has a beautiful view of WCU campus with comfortable outdoor spaces for soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Don has excellent local recommendations and is a great source of information regarding Western Carolina University. We felt so incredibly welcome! We’ll be back!

My husband & I stayed at Emilie’s place and found it to be comfortable, clean, and convenient for exploring Asheville. Communication with Emilie was great. From start to finish, our stay was wonderful! I definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our three night stay very much. We love to walk, but yet being just a few short blocks away from Main St meant we could walk everywhere yet have a quiet place to sleep at night. The parking, while not a dedicated spot, was never an issue - always right out front. The kitchen had just what we needed since we only planned to have breakfast each morning.

Melodie's place is a slice of heaven if you're looking for a peaceful hobby farm retreat. Around every corner were new discoveries whether the beauty of the landscape or the animals in their various living spaces around the property (horses, cows, chickens, couple friendly cats, and sweet welcoming dog Shelby). If you have time for a walk to the woods you'll be treated to a bubbling brook w a bench beside it for some contemplative time, not to mention flowers to gaze at all along way. We hadn't really been aware of the sauna (maybe it's in the listing and we missed it) but it's an incredible treat if you can find time one evening to check it out. There's even more than the exterior beauty and sauna treat, but I'll let you discover some surprises on your own. Ideally, you'll spend several days so you can take it all in. Melodie's family incl husband + kids were so nice + made us feel at home. Our stay was A+++ and we hope to return. Worth driving a little farther for this GEM.

I have lived in a lot of places over the past year while traveling for school, and this was the best of the bunch. Everything was great, including a clean comfortable space, available toiletries, efficient appliances, simple check in and out, amazing 10/10 mountain view.

Spacious apartment with a big kitchen but several restaurants within a reasonable walking distance. The bed was comfy oh and the couch is great for an afternoon nap as well. Love the extra security of people having to know the code to get into the building.

Loved this place! Cozy and tucked away just minutes away from everything I’d planned to do. Hosts were responsive and professional. Will definitely stay here again!

This is our second time staying at Lia’s Villa’s. It is a beautiful retreat and very private. It is only 9 minutes from TIEC if you’re coming for horse related activities!

Highly recommend this place! We rented it for a bridal/bachelorette party weekend for five women, and it was marvelous! Early instructions about check in were informative. We lived in the hot tub. When there was an issue on Friday evening, we contacted the host who responded within the hour. Kitchen worked great for our personal French cooking lesson. We had a blast playing pool downstairs. And oh how the beds were comfortable, with great sheets to boot! Great views out the living room and kitchen to enjoy your morning coffee. What a great place!

If you are looking for a home on the lake with stunning views from almost every room, look no further. You will enjoy your meals looking out at the lake, a cozy fire and a lake view, or lounging lazily on a memory foam mattress with the lake in view. However, the view isn’t all you will enjoy. There are enough televisions for everyone’s tastes, games, beach towels, a pool, deck furniture, a fire pit, and a covered dock. Surely everyone will find something to do. I was really impressed at how clean the house was, how well-stocked the kitchen was, and the thoughtfulness of providing toiletries/Kleenex. Mike and Jorge are definitely super hosts!

Eric was a wonderful host. Directions were very clear and understanding. Although the thermostat is split , Eric was very understanding an adjusted as needed. Great location and get away spot for couples. Very quiet and secured . We will definitely come back!

I had an amazing stay at Casey’s place! The home was spotless, well-equipped, and exactly as described. The location was perfect—peaceful and scenic, with beautiful views of Lake Lure. The bed was super comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful decor and extra amenities. Casey was a fantastic host—quick to respond, friendly, and made check-in a breeze. This place is a great stay for anyone looking for a place centrally located in the Cashiers/Sapphire area. Easy and scenic walk around lake Fairfield. Great Mountain View from back patio. Easy access to Sapphire National Golf Course. The place is very spacious with room to spread out for the whole family and it is equipped very well. Roland is responsive and checked in on us periodically to make sure everything was well. I highly recommend staying here!
