“This place was absolutely amazing! Jen and Nat have such a eclectic and cozy home away from home! I’m an officiant and had to officiant a wedding in Savannah last minute and was worried I wouldn’t find a place. However, once I saw this place was available when it was as typically booked, I can see why! Jen literally thought of everything and even had small touches like snacks and board games. Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely stay there again if given the opportunity!”

If you''re feeling social, sit down for a cigar with the locals in the gazebo across in Crawford Square.
“The location was great for walking around downtown Savannah and we felt safe. Street parking was easy right outside the building. We had a minor issue with a couple of the blinds not closing and they promptly responded and sent someone to fix it. The beds were very comfortable and the coffee bar is a nice touch.”
The Starlander resides within a 1920s townhouse that's part home (mine), part guest house, part experimental art project, and a little bit library (I have a few books). I've travelled to over 70 countries, and my favorite stays were not in hotels, but in small guest houses and hostels with private rooms available. I liked the home-grown character of these places, and the chance to interact with the hosts and other guests. I hope to give others a similar opportunity in Savannah at the Starlander.
“I’ve been to Savannah several times in the past ten years. Most of the time I stayed at expensive hotels in the historic district. This time we decided to take our bikes and try cheaper option. I was not disappointed. The place was clean and you couldn’t beat it for the money. However if you were planning to walk to the historic district it is about a 20 -30 minute walk. It was perfect for biking. The bike lane going to the historic district was one block to our right the bike lane coming back from the historic district was one block to the left. It takes 5-10 minutes to drive to the historic district. There were several places to eat within walking distance. An excellent Gyro place next door”
