Cottage vacation rentals in Star Lake

Such a beautiful cottage and location. The sunrise was spectacular, the fishing amazing (even off the dock), very private and couldn’t see the neighbours. The inside of the cottage had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms clean and soap/shampoo supplied, lots of seating at the dinning table and sofas. The reviews from previous years mention kayaks and canoe- these are not included in the rental. I would definitely rent this place again without a doubt .

The place was spotless and beautifully decorated—everything felt fresh, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. The location was great too, with scenic hiking trails and great biking routes nearby. It was the perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Highly recommend!

Staying here was an amazing experience from the time we arrived, until the time we left. Chris, Melissa and Betsy always responded to my questions and went above and beyond the call of duty meeting and exceeding our needs. The place is cozy and comfortable. The views from the living room are amazing and we don't normally bring our dogs with us, but since the dog sitter fell through, we had to bring them. We were concerned about how they would acclimate and it only took a few minutes before they knew they were home! I was stunned. They had some nice touches like a huge Keurig with the pod and coffee maker, coffee filters, sugar, half & half, Dunkin' (Dunkaine') ground coffee and a water cooler. DG Market is only eight minutes away, so grocery shopping was easy, and Sackets Harbor is a quick drive away If you want to get away from it all (but still have cable and wifi of course), recharge the batteries, get some R&R, I HIGHLY recommend staying here. We look forward to coming back soon.

This little slice of heaven was above and beyond our expectations. You will not find hosts that are friendlier, but unobtrusive and helpful. The cottage was comfortable and very clean and had what we needed. The location was absolutely beautiful. It fed our souls. Already planning our next visit

Very smooth in every regard. Cabin was exactly as described and any questions were quickly responded to by Jen.

We rented 2 of the cabins for Labor Day weekend. it was nice to relax by the fire with friends even though we did have a bit of rain one day. We did some shopping in Cape Vincent and made it up to Abay to enjoy the Blues festival.

We’ve been coming to this cottage for the past five years, and it truly feels like a home away from home. Karen and Mark are incredible hosts — always welcoming us with genuine kindness and hospitality. This year, they even had a thoughtful gift waiting for our son, which meant so much to our family. The cottage itself is always spotless, beautifully maintained, and fully stocked with everything you could need. The attention to detail and care put into the space makes every stay easy and relaxing. The dock offers some fantastic fishing — one of our favorite parts of the trip each year! We’re so grateful to have found this gem and to return year after year. Thank you, Karen and Mark, for always going above and beyond!

Cassandra and Jeremy’s place in Wilmington, NY is a true gem. The location is perfect—peaceful yet just minutes from charming shops, restaurants, and incredible hiking trails like Whiteface Mountain. Whether we were exploring nature or heading into downtown Lake Placid, everything was easy to reach. The home itself was impeccably clean—truly the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Every space felt fresh and thoughtfully cared for. The beds were incredibly comfortable with cozy bedding that made it hard to leave in the morning. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed—from quality cookware to spices and thoughtful extras. We didn’t want for a single thing during our stay. What really made this experience exceptional were the hosts. Cassandra and Jeremy were kind, welcoming, and lightning-fast with responses. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. We’d love to come back!

Our cabin was so beautiful, incredibly clean and really well located. 10 minutes from the local town and 5 minutes from The Ivy Lea (great restaurant). We had access to the water to sit and watch the sunset, as well as access to the docks for our boat. The bay is private and beautiful. The cabins are close together and would be great for multiple family members to rent together.

Loved visiting this place, even in the winter season! The house is warm and incredibly beautiful with full in views of the boats, sea planes and wildlife of the St. Lawrence. It’s so nice to lay in bed on a day off and watch the amazing scenery on the river pass by the massive windows as the sun comes up. The house was incredibly clean and well supplied we quickly and easily found everything we neeed in the kitchen to cook our own meals with the groceries we had delivered. Gerard and David were very friendly hosts, we would happily rent from them again.

Came down for a rugby tournament with a group from Kingston ON. This spot was spacious, clean, very nice and up to date. No issues at all! Would love to come back in the summer once the weather is nicer to enjoy the beautiful yard set up they had.

The cottage was the perfect place for our annual girlfriend's weekend. Drove up to James St each day for shopping and dining with ease. Took the boat tour of the islands with the stop at Boldt Castle. The house was ideal. Plenty of space for the 4 of us, SUPER CLEAN!! Adorable decor. A relaxing night after the boat ended with a quick dip in the hot tub. I cannot tell you enough how clean the cottage was. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, including Coffee and tea that Ryan left for us, along with a bag of goodies to make S'Mores. Thank you for some wonderful memories!

Will be back again. Perfectly priced, lots to do, and Perth is absolutely beautiful! The sauna was the icing on the cake too! Super clean, no bugs, and an actual BBQ that works! Super awesome and our family loved it!

We loved our stay with our family and four legged friends! Great location close to our family and easy travel to Elgin for food and Westport for shops and Brewery!

The hosts were great and everything was just as nice as advertised. We felt very comfortable and at home and all expectations were clearly defined before we arrived. We had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone.

An idyllic weekend getaway! The home was immaculate and well stocked. Jennifer was very communicative and quick to respond to any question that arose during our stay, especially with suggestions on where to eat! I would highly recommend staying here, and plan to do so again in the future!

Our Family and I had a Wonderfull Stay! Robert was such a great host, he meet with us at the house and wanted to make sure we had everything! Plenty of space for the whole family and your pets! We would definitely come back and stay!

Though small, it was very comfortable and had everything you could need and more. This was probably the best out-fitted AirBnB I've experienced. The fenced yard was so great for our dogs. The location is great, just a short drive or very walkable to the village/main street. Bed was super comfortable. Parking was close by. Sharon was a great communicator; responded quickly and shared lots of useful info.

The gate lodge was perfect for our family gathering (8 ppl). Check in was easy, the place is bigger inside than it looks like from the outside, and the setting is beautiful. The living room is cozy, but with enough space to accommodate all 8 of us at dinner. The place stayed warm, and the fire was a bonus!

Was perfect for what we needed. A one night stay for a wedding. I missed the fact there were no towels but luckily we all showered before getting there.
