Lake house vacation rentals in South Haven

Please know I'm biased, as this place is right on Barton Lake, where I spent my formative years in the 60s living in a house barely a mile away. So, I was prepared to be swept away emotionally. The house was on the North end of the lake, a place we on the South end called the "seedy side". In the ensuing 50 years, much has happened on the North end, all to the good unless you're thinking of buying a place there. Alanna went out of her way to make our stay as pleasnat and easy as possible, from giving is the entry code when we'd forgotten it, assistance with manipulating outdoor furniture and showing up with an umbrella for the outdoors table on a sunny day when we were expecting guests. The kitchen was the best stocked of any I've ecountered in a decade of dealing with AirBnBs. All that's missing is access to a boat. There were couple of kayaks (which we did not use), but that not yet erected deck could support a boat guests could use. Already booked for Oct wknd.

Absolutely beautiful home that embodies relaxation and peace. We were able to comfortably gather as a family. The beds and linens are great quality!! Mike is a very responsive host, and has put in the time, and attention to detail to curate a space that is absolutely perfect for an intimate gathering of loved ones. It's impossible to list just how amazing of a stay we had. Our only regret was not booking it for longer.

Was in town for work. Great place to stay. It was winter, so did not use the lake, but I imagine it is really nice during warmer months as well. Would stay again.

We loved this place. The ducks in the lake that visited frequently. The details were carefully chosen. The comfort, the stove, the spacing gave us room to move, the games created memories for us to enjoy and talk about. Thank you for a lovely experience.

They stay was absolutely wonderful and met all of our needs! We had 4 small kids and they LOVED running up and down the long hallway. The amount of bathrooms to room ratio was awesome. I was worried when we first showed up and the backyard was covered in goose poop to where it made it unusable. But I was glad to see the next morning there was a group of people to came to pick all of it and they returned every morning to do so. This was amazing and allowed us to utilize such an awesome feature of the home. The fence by the beach also gave us peace of mind for the kiddos. I was a little disappointed that I missed in the listing that this location only had a charcoal grill since they mentioned a gas grill on some of generic location offerings. We reached out to confirm and they promptly got back to us that they were booked or we would have been able to do borrow one, but we made the charcoal grill work. Just something to note if you stay here. Overall a great stay for a family vacation!!

The house was comfortable and well-equipped, and the pier was a fantastic spot for fishing and enjoying the lake. A standout feature was the screened-in porch, ideal for morning coffee or evening relaxation. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations with its blend of comfort, convenience, and scenic beauty. A delightful extra was the water toys that came included with the rental. Highly recommended for a relaxing family retreat!

Our family loves staying at this great lake house. We’ve stayed several times and will keep coming back. The yard is fantastic, there is a private beach and a dock to keep your boat during your stay. Laura is an excellent host and very responsive and accommodating. Thank you Laura!

We loved how close this cute little house was to the downtown area. It was clean and tidy, beds were firm, but ok. It has a nice big yard, with plenty of outdoor seating. Would recommend.

Perfect location! The house was clean, cute and comfy and had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were responsive and gave very clear instructions with photos. We will be back!

For our stay at Melissa Sherri’s, they went above and beyond. A storm knocked out our power for a day, but they were able to remedy our situation by getting us groceries delivered and asked if we needed something many times, which we really appreciated. They were very understanding of the situation and wanted to make the best of our stay. And they did! Thank you so much for a great stay! Communication was prompt and exceptional.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The view of Lake Michigan is breathtaking from many rooms in the home. The hot tub is fantastic with an incredible view of sunsets. The beds are super comfortable. The kitchen has a lake view also and is well stocked with everything you need to fix food. We were so happy and felt at home that it was difficult to leave. Don't miss this gem of an airbnb.

The home was updated and very well equipped with everything you would need. It also had personal touches that were appreciated. Owner was friendly and communicated well.

Such a cute place - easy 20 minute walk to the beach and so close to great restaurants like Stray Dog and Oinks! Hot tub and bonfire pit were great options for hanging out at the house after a long day exploring downtown New Buffalo.

Amber’s place was great! The house was well kept, and exactly what we needed. It was a little too cold to get in the water, but the view of the lake was nice and it was easy to access to the dock.

Melissa Joy's place is so peaceful and cozy. Our family of 10 adults, 2 toddlers, and an infant were very comfortable. The little ones had plenty of room to play and the adults had great seating with a beautiful view of the lake. The kitchen was perfectly stocked to host our family Thanksgiving dinner. We had such a great time and we plan to return for the summertime!

If i could give Samantha 10 stars I would. The house is absolutely beautiful. We stayed here for 3 months due to a work project in Michigan. The space was more than enough to accommodate my crew during the stay. Samantha was very responsive and very understanding. Without hesitation I would definitely recommend Samanthas home. And if we are ever in Michigan again, I will definitely book with her.

My family and I were blown away by the house and its surroundings. We were a party of 10 adults attending my nephew's wedding at the Marion Magnolia Farms venue which was about 2 miles away. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to make meals. Except the food, of course. Plenty of bath towels, blankets, etc. Bring bottled water. The backyard setting adjacent to the lake was tranquil and peaceful. The weather was beautiful for October (high 70's). We spent the evening around the fire pit making s'mores. No mosquitoes or flies. Yay!!!!!!! You literally will not want to leave!!!!!!!!!!!! But we had to get back to reality. For 3 days and 2 nights we were able to escape the busyness of everyday living. Thanks Amy for allowing us to have a wonderful mini-vacation/wedding celebration at your AirBnB.

We absolutely loved the house especially the decks! You can see beautiful sunrises from the bedrooms. Plenty of space for the family and entertainment for the kiddos. Everything was as described. Would book again if in the area!

The lake view was spectacular. Very flexible and informative hosts for check in and out. Beautiful newly renovated amenities. Would stay again while visiting family.

If you have a big group and need lots of space, this place is great. The kitchen was well stocked if you want to cook and there are plenty of games to play. The lake is beautiful and this spot has great privacy. There’s a pretty large flee market right down the road that’s open on the weekends and a great little market called, Walt & Marie's Country Market & Cafe if ya need something quick.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was as pictured and all the amenities we needed were available. The home was clean and comfortable with plenty of space and activities for a family of 9. We were able to do things around the house and outside the home as a family. The gameroom was a hit for the pre-teens, teenagers and adults. Our host proactively checked in on us and was responsive we felt the need to reach out. I would stay here again and would (already have) recommended it to friends and family. It was a super quick weekend getaway from the city!

Stayed here for a sisters' weekend, and it's was so beautiful! Great house and looks just like the photos. Everything was perfectly clean, and the lake is just gorgeous!
