Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Solana Beach

This is a great rental for a family. There is plenty of beach equipment as well as equipment for toddlers if needed. Being dog-friendly is a major plus. The house is in a quiet neighborhood which is nice for walking and it is a short drive to restaurants and the beach. We took advantage of the hot tub and the very relaxing back yard.

Beautiful home in an excellent location. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay. The backyard was especially beautiful and lush, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. We had trouble figuring out the TV, and Alexander made a special trip to fix it immediately, which we really appreciated. He was incredibly attentive, always responded within 30 minutes, and made sure we felt welcome throughout our stay. Highly recommend this!

My family and I were very excited because we were traveling to SD to meet my biological father for the first time since finding him almost 3 years ago. We chose Shawn's BnB because we instantly fell in love with the shaded and secluded backyard. We enjoyed our stay and it served as a great place to chill out, relax, and get to know my dad while playing a few card/board games. The cheery on top was the fabulous weekend weather, which was 40+ degrees cooler than our home in Phoenix, AZ.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage! It was a stunning location, surrounded by nature. The cottage was so homey, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Would stay here again!

Our extended family was camping at San Elijo State Campground and we so enjoyed staying at Lisa’s place as we visited them at the beach daily. Our kids and I walked down the hill each morning to walk the beach or enjoy the local restaurants (with a steep climb home - Lol). Everything was exactly as stated and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at her place. The extras such as beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, wagon, etc. were so appreciated. The various bedrooms, living spaces, and kitchen were super clean and well appointed and the front patio was a favorite gathering place. This was by far the best Airbnb experience that we’ve had…Lisa was a great communicator and all was just perfect. We hope to be back for sure!! We’d recommend Pipes and Shanty’s!

We initially planned to stay in Leucadia for a week but decided to extend our stay for a full second week because we loved this place so much. The location is absolutely perfect. We walked to the Beacons beach to surf every day and had our pick of all the best restaurants on the 101 (highly recommend Birdseye Kitchen). The house itself is cozy and surprisingly private for a place on the 101. It helped to have laundry on site and Chris was responsive throughout our visit. The house isn't as well stocked as a lot of air bnbs (no wine glasses, coffee, ice cube trays, etc.) but you will probably want to eat out most of your stay anyway because there are so many great places within walking distance. We definitely plan to come back and highly recommend this charming little nook in Leucadia! Excellent cost for value.

Our stay here was incredible!! Craig and Julie were wonderful hosts, very thoughtful and had great communication before and during our trip. The view was absolutely breathtaking! We felt right at home and hope to make it back here someday!

Great place! Especially if traveling with kids. Very clean and has all the comforts of home. The yard is a bonus for letting little ones play. Mari was helpful and accommodating and easy to communicate with. My family was actually set to stay at another one of their properties but at the last minute, (and due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control), we were unable to stay at the original booking. But Mari was quick to reach out to me and was very helpful at getting us booked at another location. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

We needed a place for 3 adults Sydnie’s place was so great from the first time I messaged Sydnie she helped me with local recommendation’s for restaurants/groceries/stores she sent me all the info I messed to make our stay wonderful. The house was everything that was shown. I would recommend anyone to stay here and will definitely will be back.

Great place! Modern simple, deep tub, steam shower, comfy beds and pillows, peaceful environment. Wall-to-wall window doors look out into palm trees, chirping birds, lots of natural light. Note-there’s 2 entrances to underground parking of this. Parking entrance is LEFT side of building down the hill. Great to have dedicated indoor parking! Lovely stay

This was the perfect place for our family to celebrate some exciting milestones. From the second we arrived we felt welcome and at home. We loved all of the animals and their funny antics and even got to see some newborn baby bunnies! Heather was an incredible host — among the best — and was very responsive to our requests to use all of the wonderful amenities and Angela was intentional in getting it ready for us. If you’re looking for a cozy, quirky, impeccably decorated, modern yet perfectly rustic place in which to hide away from the day to day, The Tipsy Goat Ranch is where you want to be. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved our time here! It was perfect and we were able to just walk to the golf course everyday. Hoping to stay here again next year for the NCAA championship. Thanks, Robyn!

The location is a ten minute walk to the beach. There’s a sprouts three minutes away and numerous bars, restaurants, and shops. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Great location with a very great host. Very kind people. I would definitely stay again.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Marianna's place. The studio was quite, clean, and had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable. Marianna made me feel very welcomed - there were Keurig pods, teas, and a little box of chocolates awaiting me. There was a large pepper tree right outside the window where I sat in the mornings and I enjoyed listening to the birds singing. The studio is just a 5 minute drive to a public beach and there's a large shopping center close by as well. Marianna was very responsive and attentive to all of my inquiries/needs. I will definitely stay there again.

Kerri’s home is a fabulous place to stay if you have family, an event, or if you are just looking to tour the San Diego, Anaheim, Solana Beach and other areas. It’s perfectly located to make travel easy to many popular tourist destinations in the area, including hiking and sightseeing! Her home has the MOST wonderful amenities and she is so generous with all provided. We had more than enough comforts to stay our week as a family of 4. The home is set up perfectly to get ready for formal events (I loved the vanity) and have a backyard bbq. The bed toppers make the beds so comfortable- including the pull out couch. From the kitchen to the bathroom to beach fun to rainy days, Kerri has thought of everything. The home is very clean, and the location in busy Solana Beach has beautiful views of the ocean in the distance and the city below. The freeway runs along many neighborhoods in San Diego, but it is just a white noise hum. We loved eating outside everyday. Kerri is a wonderful host!

Highly recommend! The host, Doug, is very responsive and helpful. The place is clean and spacious, with a great view, great location, tons of empty drawers, shelves, cabinets to unpack everything you want. Use of half a secured garage was key for us as we had very expensive race bikes to work on and store while not riding/training/racing. If you're a casual cyclist there are 4 recreational bikes in the garage for guest use. And boogey boards. Plus a separate covered parking space. And it's reasonably priced. Nothing negative to say about this home. Thank you, Doug!

Lynn’s place was perfect. Cute little cottage with an AMAZING unobstructed ocean view. Very relaxing and lots of comfortable deck space to be outside. Lynn was great. I messaged her and asked if they had binoculars. That night Amazon delivered binoculars which were a great addition! Kit and Tyler were very fun and friendly hosts. Made us feel like they were long time neighbors while being unobtrusive. We stay in Encinitas every year and we will definitely look to return to this home.

Dan & Britt are very gracious hosts! They were proactive in reaching out to us to make sure we were comfortable and were attentive to our needs throughout our stay. Their Airbnb was better than the photos and my family and I absolutely loved the views it offered as well as the neighborhood of Oceanside. The house itself was very spacious and clean. We had a chance to truly decompress for a couple of days! I would highly recommend a stay here and we plan on going back.

I honestly hesitated to give a good review of this place… only bc I don’t want more people to find out about it! ;-) Perfect location, perfect accommodations, everything you could need (including a parking space which is priceless in this beach community!). Super-easy in and out, incredibly friendly hosts and just the ideal spot to chill at the beach. Had to do some work while I was there and the internet was great too! Wish I could think of something that would turn away potential bookers so I could get another chance to stay here, but I got nothin’ 😊

We can’t say enough great things about this property and the host. Everything was beautifully decorated well accommodated and perfectly functional. We loved having a view of the ocean, the large dining table and the well stocked kitchen. They even had a crib and toys for my little one. Nicole (host) was proactive and gracious in her communication and accommodation of our needs. We highly recommend!!!

This rental was outfitted with everything you could possibly need for your stay. We especially appreciated the hypoallergenic toiletries and detergent-we have never seen that at any other vacation rentals. Everything was spotless. Very enjoyable stay overall. My compliments to the host :)
