Tent vacation rentals in Scotland

This place is a real find. It is peaceful and private (we stayed in the bell tent) but also really great communal cooking and eating spaces. There is lovely attention to detail all over the place and the eco ethos is genuine and well thought through. The shower, though a tad hot, is an experience not to be missed!

We spent Easter weekend here and we’re just come back from a fantastic time. The tent has everything we needed and our three boys from 7 to 11 loved the experience and the space. The boys played out until late and we adults sat outside under a blanket and just listened to the quietness with a glass of wine at the end of the day once the kids had gone to bed. We took lots of blankets, fleecy PJs and hot water bottles but the fire kept us snug when we were enjoying the evening. There was so much to do within short distances from Falkirk Wheel, the Kelpies , Stirling Castle and we even took a trip to Glasgow Science Museum. The kitchen was perfect for cooking family meals and we had everything we needed to make nice meals and enjoy mealtimes together at the lovely big table.

We had a great two day stay here. There was plenty of room (a comfy double bed and a bunk bed which could sleep 3 people), the kitchen was great, the log burner was brilliant and the shower out the back was lovely. Great access to Stirling and surrounding area. We'd happily stay again!

Short drive to local shops in Kyle, Tent was lovely and very comfortable. Managed to avoid most of the rain. Walks in the area, with amazing views Tulach Ard (Ard Hill) drive to Skye is short and scenic cannot speak highly enough of the surrounding areas, however be prepared for the scottish midges. Toilets on site, drinking water, facilities for temperamental hot water and chemical toilet disposal, fire pit and picnic bench to use weather and midges permitting. Excellent accommodation. Excellent location. Excellent value.

Only thing that ruined our stay was the crap weather which was nobody’s fault. Great experience for the kids, maybe next time we can save for the doom with hot tub 😉

A wonderful unique stay! We loved the tent, very cozy and comfortable, especially loved the fireplace within. Located on a green paddock with neighbouring campers. Great spot for star gazing. Campsite owners were super friendly. Thanks for the great stay ☺️

We booked on last minute due to stormy weather and wow what a place, even in terrible weather the tent was warm and dry, the showers were clean and warm and Ruth gave us lots of extra blankets and towels and a bit of extra wood to keep warm through the worst of it Couldn’t recommend enough!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this amasing place! It truly made us feel rested, happy and restored. The property is surrounded by beautiful trees and birds, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. There were loads of amenities on-site, and everything was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed. Allie was incredibly friendly and responsive, making our experience even better. We highly recommend this place if you’re looking for peace, tranquility, and a perfect escape from the everyday hustle. We also had a minor issue with our car and Allie went out of her way to support and get local help. We can’t wait to return!

Emma and her family made us feel very welcome and were pleasant and helpful. It was our first time camping, and the kids really enjoyed it. Highly recommended, and we would definitely return.

We are just travelling home after 3 nights staying at Duneden. We had the most amazing time despite the weather! We were made to feel very welcome and the whole place is beautiful and so well thought out that we felt incredibly relaxed. The attention to detail meant that everyone was catered for, the kids particularly enjoyed the numerous activities available in the beautiful gardens and barn. We cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be coming back! Thank You Ali x

Spent 1 night at huntlaw hideaway as a couple, we were completely blown away by how perfect it was, Loads of amenities, treats and prosecco on arrival!, outdoor kitchen (you have everything you need!) toilet and shower were very clean!. Very private location and so peaceful hearing the birds and the animals! The double bed was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep!, Would 100% recommend and would love to go back again! This place is lovely, very quiet and very relaxing. It’s really close to the local town and Bamburgh castle too. Very off the grid (as in no electrics) so perfect for a peaceful getaway. The view from the tents is incredible, especially during a sunset.

stayed here for 2 nights, with my wife and 2 children, the bell tents were perfect and in a beautiful area, would definitely stay hers again

We honestly had the best weekend. There are 5 tepees so it’s was very quite with ample space for the children to run around. The views were absolutely stunning. It felt very safe and the host was very friendly. We will 100% be coming back soon. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend.

We had such a great stay! Emma was so helpful, great communication before our arrival, the fire pit was great & being able to get a tub of wood for £5 from Emma was great! Beautiful location, peaceful & quiet & lovely walks locally & we used it as a base to climb cross fell. Clearly stated it was a working farm & basic facilities which were as expected & good for what we needed! We shall be back!

What a treat to stay in such beautiful surroundings (highly recommended for a roof top tent!). Stunning location. Peaceful setting. Graham and Pam were super helpful and friendly. It was exactly as expected which was perfect for me - but do read and make sure you understand that it’s very basic but in a stunning area with amazing hosts.

We had a fantastic night. Wished we had booked longer. Much more spaciaus than we thought. Lovely peaceful site and local to walks we had planned to do. We will definetly be back!
