Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Scotland

Home from home, ideal short break for our grandsons wedding, Cullercoats is lovely just a short drive to Tynemouth and Whitley Bay and minutes walk to hop on the metro into Newcastle.

We had an unexpected family emergency and find this jam. Family had to travel in from a couple of different countries and the host was so flexible and so helpful. We love this place and will stay here again. Great views great space for having to work clean functional a hidden jam. Thanks so much.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at Helen’s place. It was clean, had everything we needed for our 3 year old and the beds were very comfortable. Parking was easy and the centre of Amble is walking distance away. A great base for exploring the coast - recommend the Drift Café and beach at Cresswell! And The Old Boat House in Amble for a fancy fish dinner (booking necessary).

Booked on behalf of colleagues working nearby. The house is spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable which is always appreciated for the guys working away from home. Jo is friendly, responds fast and is informative making for an easy check in and great stay - booked last minute and this was no problem at all. Our stay at Louise's lovely home was great. She thought of everything we could need. The location was great for getting around the North Coast and she had left treats for both us and the dog! Very thoughtful

We had a lovely one day but certainly a place to stay for the week. Is close to city centre, extremely well appointed with three full bathrooms ( a rarity in all of UK!!!) in a 4 bedroom home. Loved the fact that minutest details were taken care of and the freshly baked shortbread surprise was a winner! Is a must-stay in Oban! Park the car and walk around. Thank you for the memories!

We loved staying here and will definitely be back, thank you Liz! The house is spacious and comfortable with unusual clever touches, like hand-crafted handrails and door catches. So many fantastic walks to try, both directly from the house and in Glen Affric itself. Huge, beautiful trees everywhere. Inverness isn't too far away and a lovely city to explore.

Staying at Murray’s Air BnB definitely stand out compared to the rest . He greeted us at the entrance , and welcomed us into the place . He answered our question promptly , and gave helpful tips on where to park our car . The place is super clean and cozy , beds are comfortable . It is close to the ferry terminal which is great if you are taking any tour to the islands . Will definitely stay again 💯

A lovely apartment located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s easy to find free parking, and there's a bus within walking distance that takes you to the city center. The apartment is very cozy and clean, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Sirgid provided us with very detailed information about check-in and check-out. I highly recommend this apartment. Lovely apartment, matching all photos and descriptions. Clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our short break in Edinburgh. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet, location is great as within a walking distance from all main spots. Close to the tram station which made it very convenient when coming from and going to the airport. For the rest of the time we didn’t need to use public transport. Easy check in and out. Edinburgh is a beautiful city, with so much to see and do, we had a fabulous weather and all combined with Hana’s lovely place made our trip absolutely fantastic. Thanks for having us:-)

This well-equipped ground-floor apartment looking out onto the sea a few 100 ms away is fairly centrally located in Ayr. Good access to Burns birthplace in Alloway and the amazing Culzean castle along the coast. If you are interested in history, there is much to see in the neighbouring countryside and coastline apart from the town-centre. Alison is a great host and left lots of welcome treats including butter, milk and Scottish goodies! She was quick to respond to our queries and provided lots of useful advice. A wonderful stay in a cosy, clean and comfortable flat with a reasonable time to check out at 11 am! Kids loved access to both Netflix and Disney! Thank you Alison!

Hilary was a really friendly and responsive host. The accommodation itself was simple but very clean and had good amenities for cooking. Location is 10 minute drive outside of Newcastle city centre. There was a good amount of on street parking also. Overall, a simple but really solid place to stay if exploring Newcastle, especially if you are in a group.

Teresa's place was perfect for a short break in Port Rush, the apartment was super clean and cosy for relaxing in. Teresa explained how to access the property with easy to understand instructions.

Dean’s place was tidy and lovely. The location is beautiful with a view of the sea, a short walk from a small harbour. We had a view of the boardwalk as well so if you’re not one for scenic beaches, then it’s also a great chance to people watch. The place was described very accurately. Everything was clean. The beds were comfortable and the hosts have left tiny touches to provide a nice personal touch. Overall, it was an incredibly comfortable stay, we only stayed there for 2 nights but could easily have done more.

The place was better than pictures. The location is perfect. So close to harbor and right in the town. Close to bus stops and walkable to train station stop, but with bags you can always take taxi or bus. We had everything we needed once inside the condo. Great amount of amenities. Great place to visit with beautiful nature and scenery. Also so many good day trip accessible to this location Highly recommend

Dora’s place is a proper home stay. You feel right at home as she offers amenities beyond any other place we’ve ever stayed. She had condiments, selection of tea and coffees and even butters and jams if you’re staying for a couple of days to not waste any big foodstuffs. She had instructions left all over the house so we barely had to contact her at all and got our bearings very quickly. Even when I unfortunately got sick, there was a pack of paracetamol in the cupboard. She really thought of absolutely everything!
