Chalet vacation rentals in Scotland

We really enjoyed our week at Struan Lodge. It was the perfect base for exploring Loch Ness and Culloden. Susan and John were very welcoming and responded to any issues promptly. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone.

What a beautiful holiday home. I stayed here with my husband, two boys aged 13 and 6 and our dog Bobby. We immediately fell in love with the holiday home, so many beautiful cozy touches and absolutely everything you could need from milk frothing warmers to smoothie makers. We all really felt so comfortable and cozy here. A beautiful spacious home with the most stunning of views. All beds were comfortable and lovely big towels were soft and warm on the bathroom radiators. I do wonder if some people will find it hard to Navigate the tv but being in such a stunning location I doubt it watching TV will be filling your time. Marion and John were the absolute best hosts. They were so helpful with anything we needed and came by to check on us and make sure we could get the fire started in the furnace. They had snacks and goodies for us and were so welcoming. The chalet is adorable and very cozy. We highly recommend!

We have had an excellent time! It was very comfortable and we enjoyed all days and nights. Finding the AirBnB was a little bit tricky because we arrived in the dark and the sign to the chalet isn’t that big but in the end we did it :-) we recommend a stay here - especially because of the location :)

The mobile home is very airy and very pleasant. Aviemore is within walking distance and has everything you need.

We stayed for 7 nights in chalet one and had such a wonderful week. The chalet is clean and really well equipped. We had everything we needed for our week’s holiday. The location is sublime. Looking out towards Bay of Skaill and Skara Brae.

Nick and Lindsey are great hosts, we immediately got the impression that they truly care about you enjoying your stay with them. Great local information and plenty of tips on how to make the most of your stay. The accommodation is very cosy and warm, and provides everything you need to be completely self contained. Big tip is to request the use of the BBQ hut, it’s at no extra cost and again you have everything provided even music, this sets this place apart from other comparable accommodation. Tulloch Farm is the perfect location to explore Lochaber and the Cairgorms with easy access to all the main roads. It is so peaceful on the farm. There are well laid out walks and paths around the farm and by the river which were perfect for us. We were so fortunate with the weather during our stay, but the cottage itself is cosy and warm with lots of games and books. Our children especially loved the well kitted games room onsite. Excellent recycling facilities too. We throughly recommend the Retreat at Tulloch Farm.

We had a wonderful short break at Cameron and Lucy's estate. The house itself was utterly beautiful, very stylish, and everything has been thought of, and it's got huge amounts of space for everyone to find a quiet corner and enjoy the spectacular views. The beds are very comfortable and the whole house works really well. There are a number of self catering chalets on the estate with a range of prices and styles, so if you're looking for somewhere for groups of family or friends, then this is a perfect option. One tiny detail is that there is an additional charge to bring dogs, so if you're planning to do so, it's worth contacting the estate first to find out the charges for it - it's not shown on this site, but don't let that put you off! We all had a great time, and hope to visit again soon. Thank you both

Great location, close to many hiking trails. Quite, peaceful & an excellent stay for family. The lodge was clean with spacious rooms. Highly recommended for families.

The lodge was perfect for a weekend family break. The kids loved going out on the boat, the hot tub and the wildlife were fantastic. The lodge had everything we needed and the little extra touches made it stand out.

just spent a couple of days in this beautiful lodge. The surroundings are beautiful and the lodge is absolutely beautiful, the place was spotless and fully equipped. Mairi was always there you answer any questions for us. we would definitely recommend thd lodge and definitely will return.

This place was phenomenal. Stunning setting, great location with good access to St Andrews and surrounding golf courses. The place was kitted out with everything we needed, absolutely spotless and very luxury. Stephen was a fantastic host - super responsive and helpful. We will be back!!!

The Manor Party Lodge was perfect for a girlie weekend with 7 friends. We had an amazing time. The lodge was clean and well maintained and the hot-tub was wonderful. Cleaning staff were nice and friendly. We would definitely book again.

Karen’s Airbnb was modern, spotless, stylish and literally the most well-provisioned AirBnb I have ever stayed at. Dyson hairdryers in both main suites, every kitchen appliance you could imagine (why of course there’s an ice cream maker!) and then some you didn’t know existed like a hot chocolate maker as well. She was so kind and helpful despite our last-minute reservation in mid-week November happening at the same time as some significant personal events as well. Wonderful, kind, stylish host with a beautiful first class house.

Very friendly and helpful. Accommodated us at the last minute. Lovely clean accommodation. Cosy and warm. Fantastic surroundings. My boys loved the surrounding woods and hills. Would be better with 2 big beds and then 2 singles rather than 4 singles and one big bed or the option for this. Just be aware that on top of the price paid it’s £30 per dog extra which we didn’t know when we booked. Lovely location with ferries over the road you can walk too and a pub at the end! Fort William close along with Glencoe and Ben Nevis.

We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone, especially for those looking for peace and tranquillity. The birdsong and wildlife are incredible and the view..WOW! Linda the host does her utmost to help in any way possible and nothing is too much trouble. We can’t thank her enough. The lodge itself is actually better than the photos, it’s beautifully decorated, extremely well equipped and soo warm!! The log burner is fantastic, easy to use and a lovely feature. An extra special thank you to Linda for the surprise piper she organised for my husband’s birthday. My recently deceased Mam found peace when she had numerous holidays in Scotland and I believe we have too. Thanks again Linda, we will definitely be back😊 xx

We had a super few days at Rowardenan cabin. Beautiful scenery, right on the shore of Loch Lomond and walk up to Ben Lomond. Sarah’s cabin is warm and cosy and has everything you need

The pheasant lodge was lovely, it was just as described and what we expected, even better. Our first impression as we walked in was 'Wow!' a friend had stayed a couple of times and had recommended it, we wouldn't hesitate to do the same. We knew it was remote so we had taken all food and drinks with us, we even made a Sunday lunch, which we enjoyed after a walk around the adjacent lake. Fabulous family time, great weather and a relaxing weekend. My Daughters two Labradors had a brilliant time at the beach in Alnwick and enjoyed the walk surrounding the lodge. It's been that good we're already looking at re-booking our next visit Thank you very much!!

Absolutely beautiful part of Scotland, everyone we bumped into had something new to explain about the Lochs and surrounding hill and mountains. I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful the location is and the Cabin is perfect in everyway, I would definitely recommend visiting.

The lodge was amazing! We, two families with three kids, had a few wonderful days. The lodge is perfect to spend a few relaxing days and it’s also a great starting point to explore some of the gorgeous sights surrounding. We can definitely recommend it and would love to come back soon!

Great little comfy caravan we had a great time and the landscape was beautiful and tranquil. Karen was very friendly and helpful, thanks!

Lovely place to stay, the caravan is about a 10 minute walk from the main complex which means you have a very private peaceful place to retreat to. The lake is on your doorstep which our little boy loved as he got to feed the ducks and swans most morning. The caravan itself is very well kept and I was surprised to find how well stocked the kitchen was regarding utensils and other kitchen wares. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming again! Cheers Chris for the speedy replies and letting us have a fantastic time!

The Boat house is in a stunningly beautiful location on a private road that is very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation with views out onto the loch is very attractive, really comfortable and has everything you might need for your stay. The stove was easy to operate and made the house very cosy. All this makes the house a very nice relaxing place to choose for a visit to this area.
