Rathlin View Cottage Ballycastle overlooks the sea

JenniferRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The location of this cottage guarantees a superlative stay. We so enjoyed staying here and exploring the area. The views, the historicity, the modern comforts, and the charm of the place combined to make this our favorite Airbnb stay to date. The only thing better than the cottage is its delightful owner. Thank you, Peter, for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Rockpool Cottage - Cosy Old Fisherman's Cottage

KristaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Rockpool Cottage was a delightful getaway from it all. Set in a small quaint seaside village, you feel like you're in a totally different world. A wonderful place to go out and explore the surroundings for a day and then come back to your rustic, cozy cottage at night. If this is what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed. Diane was fantastic at communicating with us and was quick to answer any questions that we had. She had wonderful suggestions for things to do, and places to dine, including a wonderful small hotel restaurant only steps from our from our door. We were also close to many public golf courses in nearby towns, and amenities all around. Staying at Rockpool Cottage has created many wonderful memories for us, and was the perfect way to start winding down the last part of our trip to Scotland. Thank you Diane!

Pebble Cottage

MarcRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay. The house is so conveniently located three minutes walk from the beach. The cottage was as others have stated very clean and we appreciated the comfortable bed, effective radiant heat and well appointed kitchen. Vera was extremely responsive when we had questions or needs.

Tigh Bata House on the sea

MayurRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Beautiful place right on the ocean. Little secluded, but that is exactly what I was looking for, the views from living room and master bedroom were worth a million dollars. Place was clean and tidy. The management team was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Braes Retreat - Garden Apartment

JosephRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Felt like home. We stayed at Braes Retreat for four weeks and we loved every minute. The location is great for travelling around Skye as it’s pretty central but it still has that quiet isolation that most people come to Skye looking for. The house has everything you need, it’s very clean and comfy and Iain and Ingrid are great hosts to help you out with any issues. As all the other reviews say, the garden is spectacular, the views are beautiful and it’s generally a really lovely place to stay.

Detached House with Stunning Loch View near Skye.

AliRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Good location, with beautiful views of the loch. The house is very clean and comfortable, but as stated, it is a family home so it's more like house sitting for a relative you don't know very well than a holiday cottage which suited me. The big disappointment was that, contrary to the description, there is no access to the loch shore, which was one of my main reasons for booking.

Munro's - A large house with an amazing view!

LindaRating, 5 stars67 months ago
Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

the pebbles sandy bay caravan

PeterRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a relaxing stay at Pebbles. Situated in a very picturesque park overlooking the sea and the wind turbines which I felt were quite mesmerising! The park itself has everything you need from entertainment, pool and restaurants. The beach was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the rock pools and scenery. Lots to do in the area especially if you like castles and history. We would recommend a stay at Pebbles.

Lovely caravan with sea view Sandy Bay

ManalRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a great time at Mark's Caravan. Place was clean and you can buy the essentials (soap, tissue etc) from Nisa next door, it's a bit pricy though. We had some issues with the Wifi but managed to connect the TV to my phone hotspot. The kids had a great time (other that the first disappointment when they couldn't find the swing shown in the picture). Just be aware to leave the beach before the tide as we didn't realise that we were surrounded by water from behind and the only safe pathway was covered with water, so we had to take a pathway full of rocks and my little was slipped over and injured his face, no warning sign was left to warn visitors, nothing related to Mark of course, rather than the safety of the place. Also there is a free indoor pool for the kids but you have to buy a weekly pass which costs 18£ but also depends on availability so maybe would be helpful if the owner can book that in advance for the visitors which would be free in that case. Def will come again!

Gourock Home

RosalindRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had a very cosy and comfortable stay in Lisa's caravan. It was well equipped, clean and warm. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Glasgow. We had the best of both worlds, a beautiful view and landscape to explore plus an easy train into the city. It ticked all the boxes.

Tumbler Rocks Retreat - 150m from beach & hot tub.

AnneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Tumbler Rocks was just as described. Just a short stroll across the dunes to the beach and an easy walk into Seahouses town. The house was very well equipped with everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. We stayed as a family of eight with two dogs and found it had ample space for all of us. Dogs enjoyed their early morning walks along the sandy beach and with the outside hose, paws were easily washed down! Plenty of eating places in the town and as a Coeliac found an excellent chip shop, Italian restaurant and Indian restaurant who could all provide gluten free choices for both sitting in and take away. Anthea was very approachable and helpful in answering any questions we had prior to and during our visit. Thank you for the use of your house for our family break.

Stunning Self Catering Cottage - The Otters

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Where to start! This is the best family holiday we have ever had. The house was perfect and the location out of this world. Stunning views and wildlife. We saw pods of dolphins in the bay most night from the front window. Also regular visits by Otters, Sea Eagles, Seals and Red Deer. Sara and Alan were the best hosts and the house was clean with all the modern facilities you could need. My wife had a tear in her eye when we had to leave and the kids are already complaining that we have had to come home. We will certainly be back as soon as we can. I fully recommend this property to anyone, you will not be disappointed. Brilliant house and a stunning peaceful location in the most beautiful part of the UK.

The Bunker

Cathy Rating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Bunker is an unforgettable Airbnb stay. It’s obvious that Christen put a tremendous amount of thought into every detail. The wood stove in the living room makes the whole house feel warm and cozy. And the views through the windows each morning were stunning. If you have an opportunity to book The Bunker, I promise you will not be disappointed. It is truly a magical place.

Dal na Mara: luxury home with stunning sea views

DebraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a terrific week at Dal na Mara. The place was spotless and of excellent quality. The view is to die for - we hardly watched TV all week. It is peaceful, quiet and feels extremely safe. The location is ideal for exploring the west of Scotland. We didn’t do the NC500 but did lots on the NC500. Helga is an excellent host - extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. We’d give this property 6 stars if possible!

Head In The Skye - Dramatic Sea View at Healabhal

SarahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a beautiful stay! We had a family holiday at Healabhal Cottage and we were all wishing we didn't have to leave by the end. The house is spacious, comfortable, and private. We had a lovely time using it as a base from which we explored Skye! We enjoyed family meals around the big table and cooking on the Aga. One thing to note on that front, try not to plan cooking with the Aga the first night just in case it is not on when you arrive as it was in our case. I would recommend Healabhal Cottage to any planning to visit Skye and would love to return myself one day.
