Family-friendly vacation rentals in Scio Township

This was an absolutely beautiful and spacious home, and, most importantly, extremely clean. Plenty of towels, bedding, extra supplies for cooking, cleaning and entertainment. There were very clear, explicit instructions for everything, which, as a slightly OCD person, I very much appreciate and can relate. My family enjoyed our stay so much that we left the wedding early that we came to Michigan for, so we could put the kids to bed and relax in this comfortable home. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This place offers a lot for a good value. The back yard is awesome! There is a very nice fire pit and a few chairs to relax in. Hosts were very responsive and gave clear check in and check out instructions. Definitely recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay, in a beautiful home and neighborhood. Our hosts made us feel right at home. It was an inviting and charming house. The deck and backyard were perfect for a small, family graduation gathering.

Had an awesome stay for a couple nights. The house was a very charming old farm house with all the necessities and lots of space. the cafe at the back had really good drinks and extremely friendly baristas. Would definitely stay again if I'm staying in the area!

Jason‘s place was pretty awesome. There’s a great little place called anthropology where you can get it a decent cup of coffee five minutes away walking distance. The river walk is a block away and your minutes away from Ford Field and all the amazing things that Detroit offers Jason‘s place is pretty cool; just as described. The five of us had an amazing meal cooked on the little barbecue outside.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was perfect for our family of four — clean, uncluttered, and thoughtfully appointed. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance to all the major sporting venues and a great selection of restaurants. Stephen’s communication was excellent throughout, making everything seamless. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Stayed here for a holiday weekend with a family of four adults. The house location is fantastic! Beautiful sweeping views of Lake Erie from many rooms in the house, and nothing beat having coffee on the deck in the morning and a drink on the deck in the evening. Having the ravine next to us added to the privacy and wonderful animal watching (birds, fox, frogs). The home was charming, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed. We spent Sunday at the many walkable wineries. Can't recommend this place enough! We're looking forward to adding it to our getaway rotation!

Franck was highly recommended by a neighbor of ours. We had to find somewhere to stay long term (over 2 months). He is a genuinely nice person who showed concern before, during and after our stay! The house is very warm and inviting. It's decorated with a lot of beautiful artwork! The wood stairs are stunning! It's just the right size for 2 humans and 2 large dogs. (Plus you could fit another 4 humans!) We didn't utilize all the available space because we didn't need to. Even the yard was just the right size! The back porch was nice to sit in and enjoy our morning coffee. Especially when it rained! It's very centrally located to enjoy all the cool things happening in downtown Ferndale. Even though we weren't actually on vacation, we would highly recommend staying there! It actually helped us de-stress! Thanks for letting us enjoy your home away from home Franck!

Annette’s home was the perfect place for my family as we celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday. The space was clean, spacious, and welcoming for all ages. The beds were super comfortable, the carpet was plush, and the air hockey table was a fun bonus! Annette communicated clearly and made sure we had everything we needed. I’d absolutely stay here again—she truly made us feel at home.

This is the second of Jennifer’s listings we’ve stayed at and it was just as cozy and clean as the first! Jennifer is a very responsive and friendly host, and the house was clean, nicely decorated, and easy to settle into. Would happily stay again.

This was our second stay at one of Justin's homes at this property over the past 2 years. I'll try to keep this review as short and sweet as possible... just book it! Justin is proactive... he provides check-in/ Wi-Fi instructions days before your arrival. This unit is located at the back of the property with a private outdoor sitting area... nice and quiet (just a stone's throw away from MSU campus). The interior of the unit is super cozy for an adult couple... might be tight if you add two small children or dogs. Efficient kitchen, comfy bedroom with storage, large bathroom. Everything was clean. Safe bet! Book it!

Auntie Blondie (as she told me to call her) was an awesome host. She was very thorough giving me a tour of the property and was a phone call away when I needed anything. I’m so glad we chose this location! The indoor pool was a major highlight, it’s what sold us. The kids had a blast swimming without us having to worry about the weather. The area itself was peaceful and relaxing, and we were lucky enough to have clear skies to enjoy some stargazing. The home was stocked with fun extras like board games and pool toys, and we even got to enjoy a cozy little bonfire. The house itself was lovely, and I especially loved the kitchen, it had everything we needed. This stay definitely ranks as one of our favorites!

My family needed a larger place to stay over the holidays and we required a decent kitchen because we like to cook meals all together. This property met our expectations for every meal we had planned. The beds were clean and the rooms were all sufficiently sized for our needs. The additional amenity of having the indoor pool during the winter was great for all the kids to have an activity to do that they enjoy. This house has clearly served multiple generations of families and it made a nice touch for my family holiday. The host was available to message the entire stay and it didn’t feel like a problem if we needed anything or for questions. The secluded location was wonderful to wake up to but a little tricky to find in the dark for the first time check-in. All in all a very positive experience staying at this property.
