Historic City Charm | Private Modern Luxe
Turn back time, in this historical home, downtown Charleston, waltzing across polished wood floors past huge sash windows in a period loft. Heritage colors, design, and a mix of new and traditional pieces like an old-fashioned writing bureau add to the grandeur of 12-foot ceilings and original fireplaces. Ideal for a Couple, on a romantic getaway or a girls weekend in the top city of Charleston. Private, spacious 1,000 sq. ft. Private, off-street Parking with EV charger. Permit: OP2025-06356

Lisa's Suite Serenity ~ no cleaning fee~
Pack your bags already! This charming ATTACHED studio is located in an eclectic neighborhood amid lots of oak trees and foliage. A safe place to land between downtown Charleston and Folly Beach on James Island. Enjoy this private, tranquil space to re-center and relax in between exploring our beautiful city and beaches. I live adjacent and care for this safe, fragrance free cleaned retreat and look forward to welcoming you .. providing your private home away from home for wonderful memories.

The Backpacker
Our "Backpacker" is a cute and cozy 96 sq.ft. of tiny house nirvana. Situated on a small tidal slough, it provides a beautiful natural setting for reflection and appreciation of that which is good in life. For those looking for luxury, the Backpacker is not for you (you may encounter bugs and it's really hot in summer). However, the Backpacker has a pretty cool vibe, and is extremely convenient to historic Charleston and Funky Folly Beach. The Backpacker is for backpackers and nature lovers.

Charleston Harbor view, garage apt
Spacious apartment with high ceilings. The back porch has a fantastic view of Charleston harbor. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, very close to downtown and also to beaches. Private dock, kayaks, bicycles (not fancy) and the possibility, weather and tides permitting, of a motorboat ride around the harbor. It is incredibly peaceful here; like being in the country, but it's in the middle of the city. Mt Pleasant Short Term Rental License #STR250333, MP Business License # 20132659

The Boathouse
We call it the Boathouse, but it could just as easily be called the treehouse. It sits just feet from a tidal creek amidst giant live oak trees. A short dock is right outside the door, so bring your kayaks or other small craft. Although cozy, it offers everything a simple cottage should. Shem Creek is minutes away, as are the beaches. Patriot's Point and parks are a short walk away. This is the closest residential neighborhood to Charleston that you will find in Mt Pleasant. ST240335 BL20139655

The Garden Folly Guest House
Our architect said, “this is NOT a garage, it’s a Garden Folly!” Our Guest House has a bird’s eye view of the rose covered pecan tree and a vista of the marsh and the Wappoo Creek. When we rebuilt our 1930's garage we saved all the beaded siding and pine floor. My husband enjoyed incorporating many design elements and creative ideas. It was quickly becoming the Taj Garage. We decided it was just the kind of property we enjoy when we travel, so, Voila! we decided to share it with you!

Spend the Night in a Photographer's Studio!
This bright and clean mid century modern style bedroom is a great retreat for couples, solo, and business travelers. Some features include dual shower heads, private washer & dryer and cozy seating area. Only 12 minutes to the airport and 4 minutes to I-526, the location is considered “centrally located.” 7 miles from downtown Charleston. 14 miles to Folly Beach. Close to many of the most popular wedding venues, plantations, and all the secret places the LowCountry has to offer.

Large Guesthouse with Private Dock & Marsh Views
This newly built carriage house is separate from the main house. The cottage is about 1,200 sqft so it very open and spacious and great views of marsh and our tidal creek. We have a separate work area with desk and a massive dinning table if you need more room to work or to gather with friends. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, massive shower, the list goes on. You may not want to leave! Feel free to go sit and have coffee or cocktails on the dock. PERMIT# OP2024-04998

PLUS, come enjoy our brand new dock on the creek! A picture-perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning Lowcountry scenery!

Kate's Place on the Coast
Welcome to Kate's Place, a cozy and very clean vacation getaway in Mt. Pleasant. This unit has an exterior entrance and a private parking spot! You'll love Kate's Place! Perfect for two! Do check out all the 5-STAR reviews! TAKE NOTE OF OUR LOW WINTER RATES! Permit: ST250170

All about Charleston
Charleston’s present is rooted in its past. In 1931, the city became the first to set an ordinance establishing a historic district. The result is an extremely well-preserved pre-Civil War downtown area, plus about 2,800 historic homes in the region showcasing eight architectural styles seen in the Lowcountry: Colonial, Georgian, Federal, Classical Revival, Gothic Revival, Italianate, Victorian, and Art Deco. The quintessentially charming Southern seaport city is also within easy reach of diverse communities, including South Carolina’s largest island, Johns Island, about 10 miles to the southwest; the fast-growing suburb of Mount Pleasant, 10 miles to the northeast; the barrier island of Sullivan’s Island, 10 miles to the east; Folly Beach, best known for its pier, 11.5 miles to the south; the oceanfront community of Seabrook Island 23.7 miles southwest, and the delightful small town of Summerville, about 25 miles to the northwest.
What are the top things to do in Charleston?
Fort Sumter
The first shots of the Civil War rang out at this fort in 1861. It’s accessible only by ferry boat, departing from the Fort Sumter Visitor Education Center in Charleston or Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant.
Historic District
The historic district sits on the peninsula where the Ashley and Cooper rivers meet, and mixes cobblestone streets and lowcountry architecture. Stop at the Charleston City Market, one of the country’s oldest public markets, established in 1804, and also explore King Street, which runs from uptown to the Charleston Harbor, passing through the Design, Fashion, and Antique districts.
The Battery
On the southern end is this picturesque waterfront stretch of historic mansions, as well as Joe Riley Waterfront Park, home of the Pineapple Fountain.
