Just booked in Arlington

Our Swedish inspired forest cabin is perfect for 2, but can sleep up to 4, guests. This rustic cabin is nestled in a fairy-tale like forest setting, and is just a short way to an amazing private community beach. Come visit the island you can drive to! Our cabin is a perfect getaway for nature lovers, beach walkers, and those seeking to unplug. Set on 3.5 acres, our guests enjoy privacy, and access nearby community-owned sandy beach, which is about the equivalent of about a 5 block walk away.
This rustic, secluded cabin is an ideal weekend getaway: Camano Island connects to the mainland via bridge. It is a 70 mile drive from downtown Seattle, (usually about 1.5 hours), but feels a world away. This is the perfect spot for a couple's get away, girlfriend's reunion, or small family. Parties and after hours noise are discouraged. If you are looking for a larger space please check out our new "Puget Sound View Cabin + Beach". It shares the same amazing beach as this, but features a gorgeous water view and two bedrooms. The Forest Cabin features wide-plank pine floors, a full kitchen, and charming gas stove with a window. The sleeping loft is accessed by secure ladder and features a queen bed with down comforter and all cotton bedding. Downstairs there is a convertible sofa bed - and extra bedding is provided. The kitchen has been thoughtfully appropriated with a French coffee press, a variety of pots, pans, and utensils. We have tried to cover all the basics and you'll find some food staples to use such as oil, salt, and pepper. Please enjoy our collection favorite games and books, as well as a record player with MP3 jack and vintage vinyl. Pet Policy Dogs are allowed with advanced notice and a $15 fee covers my additional cleaning costs. The following conditions apply: no more than 2 dogs, owners clean up inside and outside after the dog(s), the dogs are under the owners' control both at the beach and the cabin, no dogs on the furniture. To pay the dog fee select the 'additional guest' option and the $15 will be added to your reservation. The cabin sits on a very private 3.5 wooded acres with trails throughout. A private community sandy beach is a short, but steep, 10-15 minute walk on the road. If you prefer to drive, you'll find parking, a boat ramp, and a single kayak available for your use. The beach is sheltered, and faces west to Whidbey Island. The Saratoga Passage hosts abundant wildlife, fishing, and beautiful sunsets. We have the beach completely to ourselves, more often than not! In summer you can pick berries, fish, swim, and catch crab. We've got beach umbrellas and towels for you to use. Watch the gray whale migration in Spring. In winter, bundle up and see how far along the driftwood-strewn shore you can walk. Please note that there is a short but steep path/trail to get on the beach. It's about the height of a flight of stairs, but dirt. Guests with limited mobility may only be able to access the beach when the tide is low and one can walk on to the beach via the boat ramp. Our guests always comment on how quiet and peaceful our cabin is, and we could not agree more. The stress of city life just melts away and time seems to slow down a bit when you've got nothing on your agenda but to build a fire, open a bottle of wine or take a walk. You'll be surprised what a couple of days away can do! The cabin is about 1.5 hours from Seattle, 1.5 hours from the Anacortes/San Juan Ferry, 45 minutes from Mount Vernon and the Skagit Valley. Check in time is any time after 3:00. Check out of the cabin is 11AM, but you're welcome to use the beach all day. If you need to make other check in/out arrangements I will be flexible if possible. You'll find several good grocery stores on the way in Stanwood to stock up on provisions. The Elger Bay market is 5 miles away with basics, fishing supplies and gas. They also fill growlers of beer and we have an empty growler for your use at the cabin. We keep our guest interaction to a minimum because most guests are looking for a secluded get-away. We are happy to give advice on the area, and will answer questions and concerns promptly. The community of Summerland is a collection of homes and cabins on wooded and beach-front lots. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet with community access to one of the best beaches on the island! Stanwood, LaConner, and Mount Vernon are close enough for dinner with fantastic restaurant choices. Please note: There is no wifi or internet service. We have a strong cell signal with AT&T. Guests with other carriers report good service, especially at the beach. Additionally, please note that this is NOT a luxury vacation rental - while we do keep the cabin maintained to a high standard, you may see a spider, ant or such. The cabin is located in an untamed forest setting: bugs, mice, deer, birds, stinging nettles and everything that makes the Great Northwest wild exist here at the cabin. Here's a partial list of what we have at the cabin for your use: French Press hair dryer complete kitchen with blender and toaster ice bedding towels beach towels and beach rug beach umbrellas that screw into the sand small charcoal bbq basic toiletries & first aid record and mp3 player deck chairs
  • The cabin was truly a wonderful experience in our Pacific North West trip! It was a getaway from the city, the lights and the traffic. This nautical themed cabin was very charming, warm, and cozy. It was self check in which allowed us the flexibility to arrive whenever. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a pleasant smokey aroma (from the wood stove) which we absolutely loved! We even caught a glimpse of a couple of deer from the window of the cabin (quite the sight!). The vinyl collection was also a sweet find, from the Grateful Dead to the Sound of Music soundtrack! We made sure to take advantage of the kayak on the private beach. It was my first time kayaking and it was a fabulous experience! We were even greeted by some friendly neighbors. We would love to go back to this lovely Airbnb cabin! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! Thanks Elizabeth for sharing your home with us. Hope to be back someday.

  • Wonderful secluded cabin in the woods! Liz communicates well, and offers just enough information to make your getaway special. The cabin is cute, peaceful, and well appointed. Love playing records while cooking dinner, then relaxing by the fire. We had the beach to ourselves, and found an amazing beer selection at the country store up the road. Liz even provides a growler for your beer run! This is a great place for any season! We will be back!

  • This is a charming spot, tucked away and private. Very comfortable and perfect for "unplugging". The wood stove is a really nice touch. One feels secluded, yet stores and civilization are only a few minutes away. Beautiful beach and state parks nearby also. We've stayed here twice now and will again just as soon as we can.

  • My girlfriend and I had a great time. The cabin was tucked away on the island making it incredibly quiet and peaceful. The cabin is charming and very well maintained. It looks fairly small from the pictures and from the outside but is actually quite spacious once you're inside. It is stocked with games and a fun little record player. I highly recommend the Willie Nelson album. Liz was incredibly quick with all here communication and was very helpful and friendly. She's gone to great lengths to make sure the cabin and it's visitors are well taken care of. I looked at a lot of Camano Island listings and am very glad I chose this one. I highly recommend it.

    Darrell2015-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin and beach were so wonderful!! Perfect if you are looking for a peaceful getaway. The cabin was clean and Liz had everything we could imagine for a fun few days away. Hopefully we can make it back soon!

  • Perfect spot for a weekend (or longer) getaway! The little woodstove kept us warm and cozy. Elizabeth is a wonderful host and the cabin had everything we needed. It was so nice to be able to bring our dogs along, and they loved exploring the forest and beach.

    Maya2014-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect, a cozy, completely secluded cabin in the woods. It's exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for to get away from the city for a weekend. The cabin is very comfortable, clean and well stocked with anything you could need. The beach was at mid tide, receding, when we walked down and was completely covered with trees and logs. For us this was great and made exploring the beach more fun since it's a bit of an obstacle course but for someone not sure footed this beach in the winter probably isn't for you. We loved this place though and we will definitely be returning!

    nicole2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience at the cabin was fantastic, communicating with Elizabeth was a breeze. She even let us know that the cabin happened to be ready early incase we wanted to check in early, very considerate of her. You could really tell that the cabin was well thought out and put together with love, we really liked the wood burning fire place and the record player. The woods surrounding the cabin are beautiful and the walk to the beach, although steep on the way down for a short part of it - was only a few minutes and we picked delicious blackberries on the way. The beach was lovely and we only saw a couple people down there the whole time! Will hopefully return next summer :)

  • Exactly as described, and even a little more. Great house! Great neighborhood! It was perfect for us! The spacious house gave the three of us plenty of room so we weren't getting in each other way. A nice deck out back with a gazebo where you can relax out of the sun. The location has easy access to highways to get you into the mountains or out to the coast, which we did both. Mia, our host, was always a text message away. Always responsive and cordial. The best thing I can say as a reviewer is we would definitely stay here again. We had a great time. Ken & Deb

  • Mia is an amazing host! She left us a bottle of wine and lovely chocolates for us during our Valentine's weekend stay. She also left plenty of Starbucks coffee for the Keurig and a couple of San Pelligrinos – super fancy! The house was spotless and the hot tub was really incredible. Warming up in front of the fire place was also lovely. Arlington was very charming, there were a few breweries nearby, and we were able to drive only 30-40 min away to find nature and hike the Lime Kiln trail. Overall this was one of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had and I can't wait to come visit again!

    Chris2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time using Airbnb and let me tell you if all the host are as great as Mia and her property they will have a wonderful experience! We had a beautiful thanksgiving week at the property, the house was immaculate very cozy from utensils to toiletries everything you could just about need in a home Mia had it covered. Seriously I could go on and on about this property and how nice it was. Thanks again Mia especially checking in through text to make sure if there was anything we needed and being very attentive to my text and emails. Highly satisfied customer

  • Mia's home was amazing! The hot tub was great for relaxing at the end of the day. Her place made our cross country travel and family changes while purchasing our own home much more relaxing and enjoyable.

  • Chelsea's place is adorable and really clean. She was very friendly and answered our questions very quickly. I would absolutely recommend staying with her. The bed was comfortable, and her couch is amazing.

  • Chelsea was a kind and gracious host. She answered all my questions promptly. Her place was clean and quiet but most importantly the bed was phenomenal! She also provided juice, bagel and eggs in the morning. What a bonus! Thanks once again.

  • It's our first time to try this App, because of this gorgeous lady we will use it forever. The house is clean, neat, elegance, organized, and so comfortable. Whenever I have a choice between a four stars hotel or her home , absolutely I will choose hers. We had bagels and eggs with orange juice for breakfast, she is very generous . Without thinking just confirm your staying in her home which looks much better than the pictures.

  • I loved staying at the lovely cottage in Arlington. Yes, it's about 35 minutes from Seattle, but if one is tried of the hubbub, this is the place. Beautiful, QUIET, clean, and comfortable. It's as close to perfect as one could hope for. Plenty big for 2 people. I hope we come back someday!

    Johnnie2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Cottage House is a treasure! The home charming, clean and comfortable, and the grounds simply delightful. This was the perfect place to celebrate our special day. :) I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to spend a quiet night, or to hold a special event. Such a wonderful place!

  • Cindy's place was fantastic. Cindy was so accommodating. We were staying at her place while ours was being finished. The wifi was not working and she was on it until the company figured out the problem. The kitchen was fully stocked. The house was clean and new. I would definitely stay at Cindy's again.

    Scott2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Such a sweet little place , even better than the photos!

    Kate2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic space and Cindy is awesome. Check in was a breeze and any problems we had during our stay Comfy was able to solve right away. The property is great with wide open spaces and the interior of the cottage house is immaculate. Close to I-5 for commuting but not so close that it's a nuisance. I wish I could've stayed to enjoy this place longer!

  • Sharmagne's house became a home away from home for us— an oasis in the middle of a long road trip. She provided a clean, and caring environment, complete with a comfy and cozy bed, fresh mint tea, absolutely delicious breakfast, and patient enthusiasm in tending to our needs and requests. We are so grateful for our stay here and cannot recommend her lodge highly enough.

    RamDass2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • I don't feel my life would be complete if I had not met Sharmagne. She is such a gracious hostess and SO CHARISMATIC!! I love her!! Other guests were there as well and she is talented in respecting all diverse needs of her guests. I was sad that my stay was only one night. The tipi is a great visit and so were the rooms.

    Victoria2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great accomodation and great host. Very comfortable place to stay

    Bruce2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Host communicated very clearly about arrival process. She was out when we arrived, as expected. She was available by text and phone and was quite responsive. We had a very pleasant time with her and the B&B.

    Susan2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • The host was great, we arrived late and she was still up to introduce us to the house and even made some hardboiled eggs for our trip the next day!

    Seth2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We chose this host because the location was very close to a wedding my friend and I were photographing but in all my AirBnB experiences, this is the only one I've been disappointed in. The host went out of her way to help us when we were parked in and running late for the wedding which was appreciative but I've listed the pros/cons for this listing below: Cons: - This is not a 'LODGE'...this is a regular house. - We were staying downstairs and as soon as we opened the stairway to go down, a strong musty odor was present and was present the whole night. Not pleasant. - It rained all night and there was a 'drip, drip drip' in my ear (I wasn't sure if it was coming inside the house or not). - The host turned the heat on before we arrived but then turned it off right before we came because we woke up at 4 am freezing with the heat turned off. - The shower has two doors (that can't be locked) that connect two rooms (read...not the bathroom, the actual shower). I would have been extremely uncomfortable had another guest been staying at the other side (thankfully there was no one staying there at the time) - I didn't see the beautiful river shown in the pictures from the house (although I'm sure it's on the property somewhere else). The house was very cluttered, also not accurate from the pictures. The bathroom was moderately cleaned. - The driveway is on a blind corner, so exiting the property I almost got into an accident. - The cost was in my opinion double what it should have been and I also received a discount. In my experience, this was closer to a $50-$80/night room instead of $150-$200. Pros: - The beds were comfortable - The host was communicative and helpful on checkin

    Wendy2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very welcoming, accommodating and nice people! The room was super clean and nicely arranged and the bathroom as well with little products and 2 bathrobes waiting for us! They ve put on the heat on prior to our arrival for us which was very pleasant. Easy to park.

  • Charlie was a generous and great host, he showed us around the home and was easy and fun to talk to. The house is beautiful, fantastic scenery and a nice quiet getaway. A perfect getaway for anyone!

    Evan2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Charlie's house is absolutely AMAZING! We have stayed in many airbnbs all over the world, and this was definitely one of the best ones I have ever stayed in. A rare case where I had no complaints! Every room of the house and the enormous deck have million-dollar views -- truly, the best views of any residential home I have ever been in. Absolutely breathtaking! We had originally been searching for a home on one of the islands and due to late planning, weren't able to secure one. We took a day trip to Whidbey and ended up saying we were so happy we chose this home instead as the location, views, price point, and ease of getting there all made it a preferable option for us. The home was very comfortable and had everything one could want -- we really appreciated all the attention to detail including tons of plush towels (all folded like a luxury hotel), soft robes, and a well-stocked kitchen. We loved sitting on the porch and in the hot tub, watching the beautiful birds and animals that almost put on a show for us. Can't wait to return!

    Olivia2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time using AirBnb and our first time in a Washington! This place was so incredible and amazing. The reviews and pictures don't do justice. It's so beautiful and relaxing and Charlie made us feel so welcomed and accommodated all of our needs. The weather was perfect and we could sit out on the deck and see nature. It's a hidden gem! My husband and I can't wait to come back! They have all the amenities and high end upgrades. Their decor and detail has the perfect touch. We felt like we were "off the grid" while still having the luxuries of wifi, tv, etc. Also, they have these amazing reclining chairs that are the best! They have mountain breezes that cool down the house through the windows and natural light from the open pane windows. It was the ultimate best weekend get away. We can't wait to book our trip to come back!

  • Beautiful cabin, open to any suggestions to make it better. Charlie is warm and inviting and made us feel very comfortable staying there. The Western theme is beautiful, might not be everyone's cup of tea but certainly ours!

    Ariel2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • The view from this cabin is breathtaking! It’s a gorgeous secluded cabin that you don’t appreciate fully until you walk in and see the view from the back windows. Charlie was extremely nice and walked us through certain things in the house so we wouldn’t have any trouble later on. The fireplace was roaring when we first walked in which made it seem even cozier! If we are back in the area this will definitely be on the list of places to stay!

  • This is my first AriBNB rental, however, I have stayed in a few others, comparing this one is very minimalistic. There is toilet paper (made for a motor home) and some hand soap! Absolutely no amenities what so ever! For the price I could have rented a hotel room, and had a free breakfast in the morning. The manager is super sweet and brought me some coffee and disposed of my garbage. There was not a dumpster to be found, nor instructions on where to find one. If you're looking for an expensive room with cars and traffic wizzing by, gun shots in the background, and not a bagel to nibble on this is the place for you....not to mention a coin operated washer and dryer, and bedding that looks like it came from and old "no tell motel," did I mention the hundred dollar cleaning fee! Super disappointed.

Our Stunning lake house is nestled among lush trees and tropical landscapes, it is situated right on Lake Goodwin. A separate loft style guest house is perched above with big windows with a view of the lake, and you’ll experience serene sounds of the waterfall and lake. The property is about 40 minutes north of downtown Seattle and a quick drive to Vancouver Canada.

The sights and sounds really pull you deep into your getaway. In winter it a peaceful atmosphere with the fog settling on the lake and sights of magnificent Blue Herons perched on the dock. This place is truly an awesome getaway for family reunions, vacations or corporate offsites. The main house sits on 100+ feet of warm water front with a large dock for fishing, watersports, swimming or just sunbathing. A well manicured lawn is quite inviting to lay on with drinks and board games. The location of this house is a stones throw away from the well known Tulalip Casino, Seattle Premium Outlets, Kayak Point Golf Course, Whale Watching in Anacorte, skiing at Mt. Baker, etc. You will open the front door to an open concept kitchen and family room with incredible unobstructed view of the lake. The property comfortably sleeps 18 people with additional room. This is an ideal location for Canadians from Vancouver to spend a weekend shopping at the Premium Outlets or visiting Seattle. If you are here in August you should visit Seafair as well. The Anacortes Ferries to the San Juan Islands are just another short drive definitely worth the time to explore.
  • Such a beautiful house and view of the lake! We found champagne and chocolates when we arrived. This was a great place for our family to meet for Christmas - we enjoyed playing pool and ping pong and spending time in the hot tub! Would love to come back and visit in the summer!

  • Rahul and Asma's place on Lake Goodwin was wonderful for enjoying a few days of sun and spending as much time on the water as possible. We were able swim right off of the dock, or off of the inflatable lounger and trampoline island provided by the hosts! The house was great for everyone in our group who wanted to spend time outside, enjoy the views from the large decks, barbecue on the deck, or fish and swim in the water. Inside, there were plenty of comfortable beds for everyone and other entertainment like a pool table and ping pong table. All in all a great house for a short getaway. Rahul went above and beyond to be an accommodating host, allowing us to check in early, answering all of my questions very promptly, and even providing some breakfast essentials and a bowl of candy upon our arrival. Would definitely stay here again.

    Sam2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • We went for a company offsite. There was no shortage of entertainment. Hot tub, billiards, ping pong, board games, piano, fireplaces on each floor, easy lake access, well stocked kitchen, and lots of sleeping space. You can't ask for much more. Plus Rahul was an awesome host with great communication at every step of the trip. I highly recommend!

    Greg2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Host was really very nice..he was present at property for a warm welcome and with a decent bottle of wine for group :) We enjoyed incredible views from home and property is lovely. We spent most evenings at home and on private deck watching sunsets. It is close to Anacortes so reaching out to Orcas and San Juan Islands is easy..northern cascade national park is close too..and Camano island beach and zipline is 30 minutes drive away. Seattle as city has typical life of city but this house is far from hustle bustle and still close to city. Boeing future of flight is also 25 minute away.. we will definitely visit Rahul's place again.

    Dev2016-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! This lake house truly is stunning. It is everything it appears to be, and so much more. Rahul and Asma are without a doubt the BEST owners I've ever worked with (and I've used AirBnB all over the world, many times domestic and abroad). Their attention to detail and quick response time for my questions (and never ending patience) is superior. I had a group of 8 friends celebrating their birthdays together. They needed a peaceful retreat where they could experience the Pacific Northwest and still have secluded time to themselves. This was a perfect fit in every way. THANK YOU for making this trip a special memory for everyone!

    Christian2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Rahul was an amazing host. Their house is as beautiful as the pictures make it seem. The kitchen is well stocked making it easy to cook. The main floor is open which made it easy for our large group of 12 to hang out and spend time together. Rahul had some small bags of chips as snacks. We had a new baby that was coming along and Rahul was kind enough to leave us a congratulations gift. We were there in the winter so we didn't use the lake, but made great of the hot tub. We'd definitely consider a return in the summer. Rahul made things easy for check in and out. Clean up was easy. We would recommend bringing containers for left overs that wasn't something we considered and had to improvise.

    Vanessa2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place with a stunning view every morning you wake up, highly recommend this place and excited to return:)

    Chaz2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rahul is a very gracious host, greeted us when we arrived and had more than we expected. Basically you only need to pack clothes, the beach towels, and all the essentials were at the house. Very quiet and great space for family to relax. Grown ups and the kids enjoyed, we all loved the water trampoline. We will be back!

  • Bob and Lisa have created a true sanctuary space tucked back in a serene little forest, with a level of hospitality that is beyond nourishing! The property is immaculate inside and out, with every detail accounted for. Unbelievably delicious breakfast and coffee in the gorgeous great room! We stayed in the "Fern" room and I so enjoyed all the art and furniture put together to create the space.... loved the two person bathtub and personal deck!

    Courtney Brooke2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • SUCH thoughtful touches! Bob and Lisa are so welcoming and genuinely happy to share their home to make your vacation fabulous!

    Sherrie2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this lovely bed and breakfast for my girlfriend's birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we had ever slept in. So much so that my girlfriend ordered the sheets from Lisa and Bob before we left. Their two person spa tub that they have in every room was roomy and luxurious (enjoyed best with a bottle of champagne =] ) . The breakfast Lisa cooked us in the morning did not disappoint. It was light but filling. Not to mention she had cooked us some lavender sugar cookies the day before that were melt in your mouth good. I would highly recommend this to any couple looking to pamper themselves at a relaxing retreat from the city.

    Tyler2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Though we use Airbnb often, this was actually our first B&B experience so we weren't sure what to expect but it was wonderful! We were greeted with freshly baked cookies and a nice tour of the place. The Woodland room was impeccably clean, the two person tub was huge, and the rain shower was a nice treat. The room also had a private balcony and so at night we sat out on it and listened to coyotes sing in the distance. At breakfast Bob and Lisa went above and beyond with amazing food and entertaining conversation. The property also has some nice and easy trails to hike. If you need company, the very sweet resident dog is more then willing to show you around . Last but not least, though the place is tucked away in the woods, it is also conveniently located a short drive from various parks with beach access to the Stillaguamish River, nice restaurants, and tasty breweries. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Are you toying with the idea of a tiny home but not sure if you can do it? Or looking for a quick getaway to recharge and get in touch with nature? Stay at my modern cabin with a loft. Nestled on shy wooded, private 6 acres. Pets welcome!
The micro cabin has a full kitchen with a small fridge, small oven, a microwave and a toaster. The stylish ladder leads up to the loft with a plush and cozy queen size bed. The loft is flooded with natural light during daylight hours. Decorated with attention to every detail, design lovers will appreciate the midcentury modern touches. It's breathtaking to look up at the sky and see the vast amount of stars that are almost impossible to see anywhere near city lights. Take a moment to be.
Located on a dead end street ending with a small lake. A canoe is available for summer months (strap it to your car rack or throw it in the trailer). Or simply stroll to the lake to watch fly fishing or catch a rainbow trout for dinner yourself. Organic farms sprinkle the area and the drive is absolutely gorgeous.
  • What more can you say about Lana? Considerate, kind, and just THE BEST. We've loved staying at Lana's peaceful cabin home. If you're looking for an adventure, something close to Thoreau's Walden, this is a great place. And Lana — she couldn't be more helpful.

    Jared2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lana 's place was so lovely and provided me a perfect two day retreat. It was felt private but not too remote which is what I was looking for. There were sounds of baby goats and birds. The accommodations were clean and the bed was really comfortable! Lana was easy to communicate with and I'm so glad she shares such a great space like this with others!

    Irish2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lana was an excellent communicator giving super prompt responses. The tiny house was so much fun. I especially loved the upstairs with all the light and windows. I also appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine and my dog felt at home with a bowl just for him and a big yard to play in.

    Carissa2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city!

    Chris2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house was perfectly secluded, and beautiful! We made good use of the fire pit every night and loved how private the house was. The location was great for us, as we were able to drive north to the North Cascades and South toward adorable little towns and lakes. It it only about 15 minutes from the grocery store and town of Arlington, which was very cool. Definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a private retreat in the forest!

    Brooke2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was so great! Everything was perfect, Lana had firewood out for us and everything was spotless and cozy.

    Kelsey2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is up there with the best Airbnb experiences we have ever had. From the pre-trip communication to the space itself, everything was wonderful. The cabin is in a beautiful, quiet setting. Our dog loved the big yard and we loved the views and the fire pit. The interior of the cabin is really nicely furnished and felt like it was very well maintained. The location is a great jumping off point for outdoor adventures. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an adventure, and we definitely plan to come back in the future!

    Ben2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very secluded. With a cozy cabbin. You're not going to have all the luxeries of staying in a largr house but the experience of being in the forest was wonderful.

  • She is a wonderful host and made us feel very welcomed. She requested our request at the last moment. House interiors are beautiful. I would recommend to stay there if you want to stay a little away from city life. Only thing i felt was it was a bit difficult to find the location in the night even though its on the main road.

    Neelesh2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for our needs! Thank you so much for accommodating our off-season request. Sharmagne was quick to respond to any questions that we had during the booking process. The house is quiet, secluded, and very rustic. The wood burning stove was our favorite part. Because it was off-season, Sharmagne was not available to host, but made arrangements to have a caretaker there for us. Our stand in host was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable. It was chilly at night, so she made sure to give us extra blankets and turn the heat to a comfortable temperature when we were gone so that it would be nice when we returned. We would stay here again if we found ourselves back in the area.

    Ashley2014-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • It's a very rural spot (although the noise from the road was very noticable outside on the deck until late, but not inside the house) and great for watching birds and wildlife in the wilderness beyond the deck. We weren't able to get close to the river because the brush was too thick on the trail (I think it will be cleared soon) but we stomped through the field to view the river. Sharmagne's caretaker Michael was really welcoming and great company, even inviting us to share dinner, and toasting marshmallows on the deck in the evening. Great fun! Its was also a nice surprise to be offered shared use of the kitchen, and some fridge space for things from our cool box. We woke up the early next morning to find a large pot of coffee with cups we could take with us, as we had to leave promptly. So generous :)

    Gwenllian2016-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sharmagne was a very friendly & welcoming host; she even invited us to dinner when we decided we'd had enough dining out on our trip and wanted a quiet night in with wine & cheese: we spent a night on the deck talking of her days in Hollywood (if you're a fan of film then you'll want to ask her about her experiences). We stayed in the Rose Room, which is on the lower level and shares a sitting area and shower stall with another room, but has a private washroom and a lower-level deck that would ideally have been better furnished to sit out on. We had a restful night; the lodge is on a busy highway but the bedrooms face away and are quite quiet.

    David2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very personable host, enjoyed having a nice day away from home.

    Jonathan2011-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sharmagne was a great host. It was a perfect "in between" as we were on our way to do a hike the next day. The guests that stayed in the next room were very quite and we actually never saw or heard them. She gave us a walk through of the house and showed us where we would be staying. She was very available to be reached at any time during our stay there. We weren't familiar with the town and she recommended a GREAT place to eat in Arlington. There's not much to do in the town but it's a great place to stay if you're just passing through.

    Jennifer2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • The brown hackle lodge is a rustic lodge set on a peaceful beautiful river, the lodge is Native American themed and very comfortable, charmagne is a wonderful host and is fun to visit with, she makes you feel like family

    Ben2016-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sharmagne was able to host me very last minute, and although she wasn't in town, arrangements were made very conveniently. It is a spacious and comfortable basement, with tons of fun VHSs! It was comfortable, but due to winter and likely not many visitors, there were definitely a few spiders... If that is something that REALLY bothers you, be aware. Otherwise, a really great experience!

  • Best weekend ever! Amazing and beautiful place to spwnd a weekend with family. Boat was an added perk

    Melody2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We all had a great time. We love Lake Cavanaugh and was happy to find this vacation rental for our Mom's birthday weekend. We had a few questions prior and Brenda responded quickly and was very helpful in helping us plan our stay. Everything was as described. The Foosball table was a big hit with our son. All enjoyed the views from the deck and sitting out on the dock. Only drawback was construction still going on next door, which started around 8 am on Sunday morning. • Brenda's lake house is perfect for a relaxing long weekend away. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Brenda was very easy to contact, and helpful when we had questions. The view of the lake is stunning all day long. We enjoyed a barbecue on the deck and a float on lake with blow up floaties. There was a bit of construction happening on the neighboring houses, but I imagine this will be finished by summer.

  • We had a great time at Connie's place. Her directions made it easy to find, it's not too far from "civilization" but still secluded and peaceful just as we had hoped! Connie was a great host and very responsive, she showed us around her farm and introduced us to all her lovely animals! She also respected our space and privacy and provided us with everything we needed to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

    Jessica2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Connie was a wonderful host. Very accommodating and was right there to offer help or anything we needed. Our fridge/kitchenette was completely stocked with yummy drinks and snacks when we arrived! The farm and property was beautiful- and even though it was rainy during our stay, she was gracious enough to show us her cute goats and chickens! Many thanks to Connie!!

    Tonya2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • A nice place to relax in the country near to the mountains and civilization. The animals were very friendly and the sign "arrive as guests and leave as friends" was on the mark!

    Andrew2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying with Connie and I already want to go back again! We love her beautiful farm and perfectly situated house with a private entrance for her guests. We were lucky enough to have Connie take us out to visit the baby horses in the pasture this time and it was a magical experience that I will never forget. Her property offers rare and peaceful pleasures everywhere you look. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Arlington!

    Rachael 2015-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • I don't know how this is considered "an entire home/apartment" because the spiral staircase leads directly up into her house. There's no door, no divider wall, nothing. We could hear the TV going, clear phone conversations, and her dog sat at the top of the stairs trying to get us to pet him every time we came back. Everything else was lovely, but I would *not* have chosen this place had I known exactly how little privacy there was.

    Dusti2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful farm with a cozy home. Loved staying the night here! Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature and animals. Connie is a great hostess! She was very helpful and very friendly.

    Oksana2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying at the Peaceful Secluded Farm Retreat. Connie was a perfect host, taking me on a tour of the property, introducing me to the horses, the goats, the chickens and the dog and then giving me complete access to interact with these animals if I chose. The apartment was very comfortable especially in the evening when I lit the fire that Connie had already laid. I hope to be staying with her on my next visit to Arlington.

    dianne2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful quite place with the smell of fresh air and big trees. Connie was a great host and very accommodating. Lots of friendly farm animals, especially the cute little dog and cat. Would definitely recommend this retreat to anyone wanting to get away from the noisy hotel scene.

  • Super entertaining place to stay for a few days. The lake and the rec room give you more than enough to keep busy during your stay. House was very clean and well kept, mints on the pillows was an additional nice touch.

  • What an Encore, we stayed at the Lakeside Home a week prior for a great experience, please see previuos review!. This time around Alex had built a new dock! Re arranged a bedroom for a better experience. THANK YOU VERY MUCH ALEX!

    Gerardo2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was just what we were looking for! Our adopted siblings were having a biological sibling visit and this place allowed for fun and games, and it allowed me to cook for them and do all their laundry. Everything we needed was there... this place you get more than you pay for! Alex was a great host as well, very flexible and stayed in touch the whole time.

    Katie2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • I came here with family on vacation and when we arrived, this house and the location itself, exceeded our expectations. Not only was it clean and beautiful, it was very serene and perfect for our vacation. Alex was great at communicating if we had any questions and made sure that we were comfortable and didn't need anything. Needless to say, you'll have everything you need here and will enjoy the majestic view of the lake as well as a relaxing stay.

    Laura2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is cute, tranquil and cozy! It's everything you hope and dream it would feel like to enjoy a cup of joe on the dock as the sun comes up and a fisherman is trying to get his morning catch(true story). Pure bliss!!! Alex is an amazing host with great communication. Would recommend this place over and over again!

    Oleg2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • The home on Lake Loma that Alex is so graciously willing to share is absolutely breathtaking and amazing. It is a very private secluded oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Every thing about this house is heart warming and welcoming. This get away makes you feel very special and catered to..... from the comfy beds to the yard that is completely fenced to the point where your furry kids can't even access the neighboring yard by walking along the bank of the lake. I noticed several life vest for swimming in the lake. And and my personal favorite was the dual shower heads (one on each end) in the master bathroom, as well as the enormous deck with lots of places to sit. There is even a large game room with a Foos ball and a Ping Pong table. The landscaping is nicely done and it is obvious a lot of pride and joy is in the home. You will cherish the time spent in this lake home. Only two humans were on my stay but this house easily accommodates quite a few more. This home on the lake is a definite add to your things to do list. Simply put....... AWESOME ALEX!!!! and Gayla is pretty hard to please Thank you - The Gallanars

  • When I first pulled up, I was blown away. Elizabeth's property is GORGEOUS, and the 'historic' part of this listing was right on the money. I almost felt like I had traveled back in time, it was such a wonderful setting, having such a vintage appeal that I love. I'm so happy that my friend recommended this place to stay. I booked it for two nights on a weekend for a wedding that was in Stanwood, and I am so so so grateful that Elizabeth was SO nice and SO accommodating. I will recommend this to everyone I know and I would loooove to come back with my husband someday to show him how magical it is! Elizabeth is wonderful, and she even provides breakfast! Nothing else will compare to the "at home" feel I experienced here. Gotta add that I was anxious as this was my first long trip away from my two toddlers back in Texas, and traveling for me can be at times stressful. Elizabeth's welcome and hospitality made the stress and fear of traveling to a new place diminish to absolutely nothing. The atmosphere was so casual and lovely, I did not feel burdened by anything, which really goes to show you how amazing this place is considering this was my first time using an AirBnb place and I was definitely nervous!! A huge plus for me was that she was also extremely kind and patient about my getting in later than check-in time. I had never been to Stanwood before so I was a bit worried I would get lost-- THEN my tire blew out! Whoops! I am forever grateful for Elizabeth, and this amazing property and my amazing, spacious room. If you venture out onto the property you will find other cool things to explore! Like a green house, brick fireplaces, a greenhouse, and so much more. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Thanks Elizabeth!!!

    Christine2015-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here between our trip Seattle-Vancouver and are very happy to have done so. Elisabeth and her daughters are such friendly and joyful people! Our daughter was delighted by the dogs. We enjoyed the peaceful place and possibilities to exercise. For us, it was a perfect stay!

    Silke2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay. The bed was comfortable, the place is beautiful and we had a peaceful stay. Fresh coffee and spacious rooms. We loved our stay and will stay again when we are in the area. Lovely hostess made the stay especially nice.

    Janis 2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • My partner, dog and I loved retreating to Elizabeth's home. It's expansive, historic and charming in every way. communication was excellent when needed and otherwise we were free to just enjoy the sun and the farm. Before our departure we were greeted by two of Elizabeth's dogs, which were adorable and friendly as can be. Our own dog got to play with them which was a real treat. The bedroom was divine! Lots of natural light and furniture to cozy up in. The whole experience was really relaxing and serene. We were lucky to be quite close to local Stanwood shops and restaurants. It was only fifteen miles away from Mount Vernon too, where the tulip fields are. We hope to stay again in the summer for longer. This is a place you'd want to sit on the grand wrap around porch in a rocking chair with a cup of tea and write a memoir.

  • Host welcomed us as we drove up. The host and family were very helpful, friendly and warm. The accommodations were superb. The house and grounds are very beautifully planned and maintained with much love and care making the atmosphere very accepting and inviting. Give 5 out of 5 rating

  • You never think you will ever have the opportunity to walk through the rooms of such a grand old house as this. What a privilege. The hosts are kind and full of laughter. We liked that. We had forgotten how totally dark a country sky can be! Lots of stargazing. We both slept well. We had dinner at the Stanwood Grill. Delish. Thank you for the recommendation!

    bill2015-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth and her family are always 'there' for us. We brought our catch of seafood to their fridge and freezer, our fishy laundry to the washer and dryer and tired bones to the wonderful bed. Sunsets by the outdoor fireplace and the lily pond with the fountain are very peaceful. Did I mention the organic farm fresh eggs and the berries? A little bit of heaven...

    Roxanne2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really late arrival time and Elizabeth's daughter waited up for us to make sure we got in. The house and the room were so cute and cozy. The grounds were also beautiful. I wish I could have stayed longer to relax and enjoy.

  • This place was awesome! Clean and beautiful. It was so easy to get to and conveniently located. Really close to Safeway and only a few miles from the casino and the outlet malls. They also made us feel like family. Great communicator and a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. The bathroom extras were a great surprise. If we are ever in Marysville again we would love to stay here.

  • We had a fabulous stay, the rooms were clean, the cookware was top notch, it was easily accessable from the freeway, and walking distance to the grocery store and several resturants. It was the perfect space for our group of 6. There were several homey touches such as roses on the end of the rolls of toilet paper. Overall it was a fantastic trip and we had no complaints.

    Laura2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Ernest & Tal's! Everything you need in the kitchen and comfortable beds. In my opinion, that is paramount! Owners are responsive and take care of you if there are any issues. They left us a bottle of wine and supply plenty of coffee! I had a hard time sleeping because of the trains that rumble through town and blow their horns at night so if you are a light sleeper consider getting some ear plugs. Other than that, I have zero complaints! Again, wonder accommodations!

    Cindy2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean house. The hosts have gone to great length to make the stay comfortable. The house ous very comfortable. I had issue with noise on straight and crowd late night in front of the house. Also map showed 35 min drive to downtown Seattle but never took less then an hour each way.

    Irf2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was amazing house. This house made me a fantastic trip. And they are really kind. I was impressed.

  • This house is beautiful! First of all it's completely remodeled and spotless. Each room offered comfort and privacy, it was tastefully decorated, and had every amenity we could need. A huge selection of toiletries, great coffee, and a generous private backyard. After a long flight and a long drive it was a JOY to call Ernest and Tal's house our home. We were also contacted to let us know we could check in a bit early and they were always available throughout our stay if we needed anything. Great location. We walked to the grocery store and to dinner. It's got everything. We can't say enough. Excellent Airbnb experience!!

  • Michael's place is in a quiet residential neighborhood about a 5 minute drive from the main town of Marysville. A small bedroom with a street view, very comfortable bed, your own tv for late night viewing and exclusive use of the bathroom across the hall. Michael even provides coffee and cereal for you to help yourself to in the morning. A really great AirBnB value!

    Aaron2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Michael had great suggestions for places to eat, and especially good hikes in the area. He also provided maps and brochures about the general area. He was also very pleasant to visit with.

    Carol2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This continues to be a favorite in Marysville, my second stay. Mike is a nice host and pays attention to the details; wants the best for his guests. Enjoyed talking with him.

    gary2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't get to meet Michael in person, but he was very responsive when we got lost on the way. The room is small but very comfortable and clean and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Great halfway point between Seattle and the Anacortes ferry terminal.

    Kristina2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is a generous and accommodating host, instantly available to answer questions and offer help. His place is clean and tastefully appointed, and we found the queen-sized bed very comfortable. The wall-mounted flat screen, DVD player and assortment of movies in the room is also a nice touch. Michael himself is a well-seasoned traveler, too, and it was fun to flip through his fairly sizeable collection of travel guides. All in all another great Airbnb experience!

    Jo2017-05-20T00:00:00Z

  • If you are looking for a relaxing get away from the city this is the place. A few friends and I came down for a weekend and we all were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the location. Only a short two hour drive from Vancouver, the house was beautiful and provided all the amenities needed. Rob was extremely kind and accommodating and only checked up to make sure that everything was alright. He even invited us to go waterskiing with him, and helped make our trip all the more memorable. Would definitely recommend this place for any one looking to get outdoors and enjoy a relaxing weekend at the lake!

  • Tanya and Bob treated me better than my family does! I've never had such good hospitality anywhere. I was in town for a wedding, and they went out of their way to make me feel at home. Before I arrived, Tanya asked if there was anything I needed to make my stay more enjoyable. When I got to the B&B, I had an hour to kill before the wedding. They supplied me with a cooler full of ice so I could keep my beer cold while I sat on their gorgeous patio overlooking well landscaped terraces and a small, beautiful sounding river at the edge of the property. After the wedding they let a few of my friends hang out on the porch, listen to music, and enjoy a little more of the evening. They happened to have been making crab cakes that night and also returned from catching Dungeness crab earlier that day. They generously prepared and shared it with us. I have never been so spoiled or had such good food. I've lived on both coasts and know my crab, too! The room was immaculately clean. All the furniture was new and extremely nice. The sheets were incredibly soft, and you could get lost in all the pillows. The room is climate controlled, has direct tv, a private bathroom, a walk in closet, and desk area. Tanya and Bob love life, food, and helping others. If you stay here you get the scenery and luxury. I'm going to see if these guys are adopting. 12/10 would stay again.

Quiet, sweet, wonderful and Connie was a great hostess. Perfect amount of privacy and quite easy to find despite it being 'out in the country.' My husband and I really enjoyed~.
