The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, a kitchen counter and sink, a microwave, a blender and crock pot. There is a television with cable, Netflix, etc. We stock coffee, and breakfast foods for your convenience.

Welcome! Birch Bear Cabin is on the banks of the Baker River and nestled in the White Mountains. Enjoy a romantic retreat, a Girl’s weekend, Fly-fishing with the guys, or Rumney Rocks! How we got our name.... On our property are two stands of white birch trees. And...if you look closely you will find the claw mark on the kitchen cabinet left by a bear looking for a snack. That is how we came to be Birch Bear Cabin!

Barn Door Hostel - Campground

Our campground is located on a beautiful open field, shared with other campers. There are 14 communal fire pits and picnic tables, 3 composting toilets, as well as 3 portalets and a swimming hole in the brook alongside the property. We also have potable water at our brand new well house on the field. Tents/car camping is ideal. This campground is not designed for pop-ups/RVs.
