Vacation rentals with a kayak in Polk County

The pictures did not do this place justice, as it was more beutiful than the pictures represented. It was clean, vary large with many amenities and lots of water toys "several kayaks , a canoe, beach toys, life vest, and even a couple blow up tubes. There was a nice grill and firepit and Amanda even left the kiddoes smores fixing, which they enjoyed very much. We were there for Easrer weekend, and there did not seem to be anyone in any of the other cabins along the lake, so it was very private, which we appreciated. Give this place a try, and you won't be disappointed.

We loved staying at the tree house. The house was unique, comfortable, and had everything you need. Less than 30 minute car ride to downtown Asheville, Biltmore, and Brevard. Very close to Sierra Nevada Brewery. Our son loved the neighborhood rooster and squirrels. Definitely recommend for a family trip.

The place was even more spacious than it looked in the photos! We had a wonderful stay— the yard is charming and surrounded by nature, and the beds were super comfortable. We cooked all weekend and found the kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed. Visiting the Biltmore was fantastic, and staying at Lisa’s made the whole weekend even more special.

The accomodations are very comfortable and the location is quiet and peaceful plus being near to our activities. We enjoyed our stay.

Little gem. Only weakness was the TV is a bit older and the internet bandwidth isn’t consistent. Cell service is weak up there too, so be aware of that. But if you want to truly unplug and enjoy nature, especially during the warmer months, this place is a treat. The owners have put a lot of intentionality into the place and accommodating the stay of their guests. Overall, wonderful.

Holly’s place is just great and what we were looking for. We were taking a birding trip and our first morning there a hummingbird flew right up to us. In the morning and at the evening around 6 PM, lots and lots of birds flying around in the backyard. We bought a hummingbird feeder and hung it from the porch. There were two hummingbirds that immediately visited the feeder many times each day. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. Plus, Holly has the place so organized and functional to make it easy for her guest.

Diane is a great host and very responsive. The property is beautiful and well kept. Absolutely loved the lake decking. We Kayaked a decent amount and the positioning of the property was perfect to do so. We will certainly visit again ! Highly recommend !

The cabin is beautiful and peaceful which is what our family was looking for. We enjoyed all of the amenities, and the kindness Michelle showed our family. It was clean and offered everything you needed to cook and enjoy your surroundings, even a BBQ and smoker. The beds were comfortable, and linens were good quality. Lots of extra towels if necessary. Thank you, Michelle. We enjoyed your lovely cabin in the woods.

The Lake Summit Nest was a perfect lakeside retreat to relax and unwind! We had everything we could possible want - a comfortable bed, well-appointed kitchen, peaceful setting in the woods, plus lots of thoughtful extras - cold drinks in the fridge, breakfast pastries, and a basket of travel sized toiletries in case we forgot anything. The Wi-Fi and satellite TV both worked great when we weren't busy reading or watching the birds and squirrels outside our windows. It was a little too chilly for us to take advantage of the kayaks and stand-up paddle boards in the boat house, but there's always next time!

Annie was an absolute pleasure to have as a host. She was responsive, super friendly and very helpful in every way. Highly recommend booking with her! The house and location is great also!

The Cottage at Lake Lure provided unmatched views and a relaxed and peaceful retreat. Outdoor spaces are beautiful but unfortunately the boat house that was present at the time of booking had been taken down by the time of our stay, reducing the ability to be on the lake. Access to paddleboards and kayaks a plus and the ability to rent a pontoon was a wonderful bonus. Wifi access was spotty and phone service challenging - this provided some challenges to individuals who planned to work a remote day from the booking. Overall a great stay with fire pit, grill, time on the water, and gorgeous scenery.

Lovely, beautiful, peaceful and relaxing with so much room! My little family of 4 could not have been happier here I was so blessed to have came across this place! From canoeing and kayaking to the beach and back, roasting marshmallows by the fire pit, having fun trying to fish while watching all the turtles, to the hot tub and game room we just couldn’t stop running out of things to do and the memories that will last a lifetime! We never even had to leave this beautiful place with bringing groceries on the way there and we sure did not want to leave when it was check out time! From my husband and I to our two beautiful kids we all would highly recommend this place! Brody was such a wonderful host from start to finish always fast to respond with any questions that I may of had! Again would highly recommend this place!!

My daughter and grandson loved the place, the host was so friendly and easy to communicate with. Very responsive. The place was really cute and charming, and they loved that the host had even put up a little Christmas tree to welcome them. Wonderful stay!! Thank you so much

This was my second visit to Marthas and once again it did not disappoint. This time we decided to book specifically for a father son fishing trip. We had a blast caught plenty bass blue gill and some catfish. I normally never catch any bass but they were pumping on my hook all weekend. Martha is always helpful very responsive and so polite she always leaves a little snack in kitchen when you enter. The furniture is cozy and very comfortable the setting is relaxing and beautiful view. The neighbors are polite great restaurants nearby and easy to drive to with many grocery stores close by the locals are so friendly and welcoming.

Well off the beaten path, but if that's what you're looking for, this is it. Clean, comfortable space with plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. We'd stay there again.

Beautiful piece of heaven. Even though it rained the majority of our visit we were still able to enjoy the serenity of the area thanks to the covered porches. This home is so peaceful and quaint. Exactly what I wished for, and we look forward to staying here again. Highly recommend folks stay at this beautiful cabin with the lovely view.

The home was gorgeous and spacious. We were pleasantly surprised to find a fully stocked kitchen with everything we thought we would need and more, the privacy of each room was fantastic, the attention to detail in the home was top notch. We struggled a bit with a few appliances but Banff was very quick to respond and provide troubleshooting.

Had an amazing and peaceful trip. Beautiful home, it was nice to have a private trail with rest stops along the way and the beach area was amazing. Loved waking up in the morning to having a cup of coffee on the deck with the river view.

This was a BEAUTIFUL space for our gathering. The house was stunning, super accommodating, and cozy for our large group. There was a lovely trail beside the house that led to a relaxing mini-spring. We loved how private it was and the community surrounding it. We appreciate the host’s flexibility and have already talked about coming back. You will not be disappointed booking this house.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful, well furnished, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. It felt like home! The views from the house are incredible...even better than the photos. The lake has a small beach that was a highlight and there are some nice trails around the property. The host was very responsive and the information we received in advance very helpful. We were especially appreciative of the host's flexibility with a special request. I highly recommend this location and would love to return.
