Vacation rentals with a patio in Piscataquis County

Stated here end of April with my family of 5! The space suited us perfectly. The lake was still frozen so our fishing wasn’t successful but we still loved the grounds and campfire! Especially loved the stocked kitchen and grille with the propane hookup! Plan on coming back in the summer!

We loved our one week stay at the cabin! It was really wonderful living right at the lake, having breakfast outside, kayaking, going swimming almost every day and just enjoying the time doing nothing or reading. We also went hiking in the nearby State Park which was great. The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed. Communication with Kim was really easy-going. We definitely recommend the cabin to anyone who wants to get away from everything for a while.

I had a great time staying at Tom and Cindy's Airbnb with my family. It was peaceful and the pond was beautiful. The home was very clean and very well stocked. It made cooking easier which we did a bit of during our stay. I highly recommend Shelby's Cafe which is not too far from the cabin. The drinks (alcoholic) were also a hit. The service was exceptional and the food was good. The owner gave us free cupcakes for the adults and children! We visited Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, which are our favorite spots (about 2 hours from the cabin). The weather was about 50-60 degrees during the day and the crisp air felt amazing. The Botanical Gardens in Boothbay was also very nice (about 2 hr from the cabin).I think going there at night would be even more amazing to see the lights. It was a family friendly attraction. They have a garden just for the kids with a sandbox, water play, scavenger hunt, and a variety of play houses, and games. Very nice stay!

A great “glamping” spot! The location is amazing and being able to rent kayaks was perfect! A very fun stay for a lake adventure!

Stayed for a few days while ice fishing and snowmobiling on the lake. Great access to the lake with the snowmobiles right from the driveway and plenty of parking for a few trucks and snowmobile trailers. Everything about the cabin was excellent and the view right from the deck is amazing! Will definitely be back!

This was the ideal place for us to ride out of, right on the trail and a great location for a variety of destinations. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Aaron was great, very helpful as a guide to the trails and area, and very quick in his response to questions we had on checking in. My brother, father and I are planning to rent again next year for our snowmobiling trip!

Was a great stay. Our group of 8 enjoyed ourselves very well snowmobiling and ice fishing.

We came to Dragonwood for a small family getaway and had the most amazing time. Carrie was an extremely attentive host and we were never lacking in activities, even when the weather was on the dreary side. We’re looking forward to booking another stay next year!

For our family vacation this was perfect. The kids can sled right on the property. Jay has lights along the trail for night sledding as well. We tried ice fishing for the first time and had fun with that. Our mission was for snowmobiling though, and this is a good starting point. Ride directly from the cabin without any hassles. Jay is a fantastic host. He happened to be staying at The Boathouse (next to The Bunkhouse) for a few days for his kids' school vacation, and he could not have been any friendlier. We are already looking forward to next year. The Bunkhouse is not the fanciest cabin on the lake, nor is it intended to be. It is designed for sleeping a good crowd of people who are motivated around outdoor activities. The wood stove makes returning to the cabin that much more enjoyable. The view of the lake and mountains is hard to beat, considering the tall pines surrounding the area. Overall, this was a great experience, and we would return again without thinking about it.
