Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Pike County

Enjoyed our stay. Everything was as advertised, and we would stay here again. Very easy to get to Highlands Nature Sanctuary for lots of hiking, and also easy to get into town of Hillsboro for dinner. Another must-do: the farm market in Rainsboro, just north of the gas station and Rt 50.

The parking was important to us and there was plenty of room there for the trucks. The property, more importantly room situation was accurately decribed which we also appreciated. Beth was very responsive to any messages sent. overall great experience.

Small town, relaxing stay with everything you need for a relaxing weekend. Enjoyed watching movies and playing games at night. Rio Grande is a small town gem and the Little Brick House makes itself part of the great experience.

The space was clean and there was plenty of room for 7 people! We enjoyed sitting on the porches, the area was quiet and we had great neighbors.

Lovely stay in Chillicothe. Close to coffee shops, restaurants, things to do, etc. but house sits back up on a hill, so it is quiet and has a nice yard to play in. House was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you for a great stay.

This cabin is only 11 minutes form Ash Cave and the South Eastern corner of all of the Hocking Hills attractions that we came to see. A very cozy 'home base' to explore the local area, caves and attractions. The hot tub was the best part of the day after a full day of hiking.

Kimberly was very responsive to any questions we had. The property is beautiful and private. We enjoyed watching the deer come through everyday. The house was decorated nicely for Christmas with two trees in the living room, other decorations throughout the home, and lights outside.

The Gingerbread Haus is a gorgeous property and cabin, it’s even prettier in person and exceeded my expectations! The cabin was clean, spacious, cozy and well decorated. The hot tub and fire pit are excellent additions, even in the middle of winter surrounded by snow! We spent a weekend with 6 adults and everyone was very comfortable. If I have the opportunity to stay here again I would do so in a heartbeat!

We stayed for a week. Chillicothe native here - so I knew the neighborhood in advance. The place was just as described and perfect for settling in for a week. Do pay attention to the listing. Brad is very clear that there are steps up to the apartment, and then steps upstairs once inside the apartment to access the bedrooms and the only bathroom. My only caution is - Brad isn't kidding - it's lots of steps. This was a little bit hard for me as I have a bad knee. Just be aware. Also - we wanted to take the bed home with us. That is THE most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in my life! I would absolutely recommend the property and would rent one of his sites again! We had a great time!

we loved Jenny's it was so quiet at her place. Everything was so nice and comfortable there and Jenny was always very responsive if we had any questions during our stay. We will definitely stay with her again!!

The place was clean and cozy. It was at a campground and the shared bathroom was clean as well. Perfect if you’re traveling through and need somewhere to stay for the night.

Very quiet comfortable place conveniently located within minutes of great restaurants and my place of work... Host very accommodating.....highly recommend if you need a place to stay while working in the area or just passing through

we had a great time ..pond was nice other then the weather and they would not let us have a fire on the pond ....inside was excellent

The cabin was so clean and had great views!! We enjoyed staying here and it was very peaceful!

Lovely cabin getaway for a few days. Easy to find (although we did not get cell service so would preload the location to your phone when visiting first time). Mike was easy to contact and super responsive. Can’t recommend enough!

Dan and Casey were extremely curtious and they provided us with so much information we didn’t even have to ask any questions about the state park or anything about the cabin. We felt right at home and checking in was seemless. The location of the cabin is very remote and has some of the best views of the night sky I have ever seen. Every accommodation worked just as listed. They were gracious enough to provide us with plentiful card games to play and we enjoyed a jot of them. Thank you Dan and Casey!

Place was awesome it was extremely spacious and accommodating for our group of 4 people. The fire place was awesome to use at night to set the ambiance. The hot tub was super nice to use as well after our long hikes. Absolutely worth the price to stay it’s nice that it’s so close to so many beautiful hikes as well.

Went here with a group of friends. Plenty to do at the cabin. Very clean. Very peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Place was very clean and smelled nice. Easy to find, but tucked far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was ready the moment we arrived, there was firewood available on the site ($15/slot, which was very reasonable for the quantity that was given), and there was plenty of parking for our cars in the driveway (which was a loop so we never had to back out). Looked exactly as pictured. The cabin is absolutely beautiful! It was clearly built with love and it was cool to look around it knowing that it was all hand built. The host was very quick to respond when I had questions and I'd highly recommend this place!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful, private cabin. Its gorgeous, rustic charm was complemented by immaculate upkeep. What made our experience even more special were our hosts, Kimberly and Brian. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive, and they treated us to the most delicious breakfast. Their gracious “southern” hospitality was exactly what we needed during our short visit. We’ll definitely choose their cabin every time we visit family in Ohio. All in all, it was heavenly!

This was a great get away for me and my kids!! The location is perfectly secluded and makes you feel right at home. The house is even more beautiful in person! We all had a great time in the hot tub as well!!
