1 of a kind home Near Ski/hike/Bike/Golf/Shop

TylerRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This place was great! We would definitely stay here again next time we come into town. Very close to the Canyons side, which we prefer, and close to Whole Foods, etc. There is public transport if you prefer but we chose to drive to the free parking lot at the Canyons. House was just as expected and added bonus that they had a hot tub after a long day on the slopes!

Historic Home on Main Street

SuzanneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great stay. We brought our camp chairs and spent a lot of time on the porch with our pooch. The parking was super easy, and the lot across the street always had a spot. We especially loved the walk path along the stream behind the Corcheval and how everything we needed was within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the summer time at this house. It was located right in the middle of "Old Town" Park City. In the winter, you'd be able to ski in / ski out without a problem. We stayed with two toddlers and a dog. The house was extremely well stocked with supplies and items of need including child gates, lots of toys, a crib, high chair, etc. It made it very accommodating. There was even an air fryer for cooking. The house was stocked as if someone just moved out and left all their stuff (which is a good thing). Erik was also very communicative. There is a small path between the house and the neighbors where a dog is able to relieve themselves or else you'll need to walk down to the bottom of the hill (5 minute walk) for the best area for your dog. All in we, enjoyed ourselves and found the house as needed. A note for those staying in summer, there are no black out blinds. Therefore, if you have kids that nap during day, or want to go to bed before sunset (10 PM ish), it's worth noting.

Contemporary Retreat - 200 yards from ski trail

BeverlyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
For our party of 6 (with toddlers), an Airbnb was essential for our trip, and this home was perfect. We loved the variety of beds to choose from, which really helped with our toddlers’ sleep needs. The house was beautiful, very clean, and conveniently located near everything we wanted to do. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe, which we appreciated. The kitchen was well-equipped and made meals easy, and having a washer/dryer was a huge bonus. Karl and Jamie were great at responding quickly to any questions we had and made everything smooth from check-in to check-out. We had an amazing time with our family—thank you for allowing us to create such wonderful memories to kick summer off!

A quick but lovely getaway in beautiful PC. Mark’s guidebook was full of helpful info about the area. Can only echo all the 5* reviews. What a lucky find for us and sorry we only stayed one night and didn’t get more time in this fabulous house. The most high spec AirBNB we’ve ever had but still super comfy, spotless and homely. GREAT shower. Thanks for hosting us.

The cabin has a beautiful backyard and is so peaceful with all of the nature, birds and river sounds and is away from the hustle and bustle- exactly what we were looking for. The location was perfect for us to spend a lot of time on Rockport Lake paddle boarding and kayaking. The cabin was comfortable and the kitchen was easy to use. We enjoyed the open layout and it was well stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the cabin decor and felt at home right away. Thank you for letting us rent your cabin!

Wasatch Getaway With Hot Tub Near Park City

NathanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We enjoyed our stay here. The setting and the views were incredible, and the house was just as you would expect based on the photos. Unfortunately the wood pellet fireplace in the main room was not working during our stay, but everything else was in good condition and very clean. Landon and Brie provided clear communications and instructions. We would definitely consider another stay in Tollgate canyon the next time we are looking for a mountain getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at Lien's place! Tons of amenities, tons of places to eat and shop right in the Newpark area. We especially like not being in the hustle and bustle of Park City, but at the same time we were only a 10 minute drive away. We are excited to come back to the area and we will be renting Lien's place again if we can!

We enjoyed a lovely stay: we visited the Natural History Museum of Utah, and as suggested by our hosts, the Butte Gardens; both were interesting and good to visit. The accommodation was perfect: spacious and comfortable, with many thoughtful extras which helped to make our stay restful and enjoyable. Worth a trip to Mirror Lake. Nice walks. A great place to unwind.

Perfect Location! Walk to Main St. & Skiing

Had a great stay for a couple of nights. Was looking for something in walking distance of a grocery store, restaurants, and hiking. Ticked all those boxes. Favorite thing about the place was being able to go for a hike (Jenni's Trail) right from the front door! Nothing negative to say at all. Highly recommend!

This lovely place is just right. Close to the mountain, close to the town, and nicely appointed. There’s a little fireplace that gives a nice vibe and an awesome sitting area outside that looks over the town. I stayed here once before and would stay again!

Your guide to Park City

All About Park City

Tucked within the Wasatch Mountains in western Utah, Park City is a small town known for its stunning mountain backdrop, dozens of scenic highways, and activities both on and off the slopes. The town is a year-round destination, with visitors coming here to soak up the arts during the international film festival and outdoor concert series, and to embrace the outdoors by skiing, mountain biking, fishing, and hiking.

The town is surrounded by spruce-, pine-, and aspen-lined forests and miles of panoramic drives. Bordering Park City to the north and the west are the Wasatch Mountains, where you’ll find two world-class ski resorts in close proximity to the city. The mountains join the Uinta wilderness for two million acres at the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, just 35 minutes from Park City and home to hundreds of miles of trails that wind their way around peaks, canyons, and lakes. Rare animal sightings in the forest can include black bears, mountain lions, elk, moose, and mountain goats, among many others.

Less than 30 minutes east of Park City, the Mirror Lake Byway twists through the Uinta Mountains, offering stops at waterfalls along the Provo River and massive freshwater lakes set within the forest valleys.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Park City

Autumn is cool in Park City and it gets cold at night, with snow usually starting in November. This is also the season when the trees turn shades of yellow, orange, and red — best witnessed by a scenic drive or hike through the Wasatch Mountains. Cold and snowy winters are ideal for outdoor sports ranging from tubing to cross-country skiing. A world-famous film festival also visits Park City this time of year, with many up-and-coming actors and directors making debuts in venues spread across town.

Spring stays cold until May, when the snow begins to melt. The month-long Spring Gruv festival occurs from March to April, when you’ll find outdoor concerts, ice sculpting competitions, and the annual pond skimming competition, where competitors ski over a 100-foot, frozen pond. Summers are pleasant, warm, and dry, and in August, the Kimball Arts Festival fills Park City’s Main Street with 200 tents populated by artists from around the country.

Top things to do in Park City

Wasatch Mountain State Park

The Wasatch Mountain State Park covers nearly 22,000 acres, offering dozens of hike and bike trails. You’ll have opportunities to spot local wildlife along the one-mile Cascade Springs Trail, where you might find large mammals, including moose and elk, or birds like the wild turkey and red-tailed hawk. As you wander the paved trail, you’ll eventually reach the waterfall and freshwater streams at Cascade Springs, surrounded by towering mountains.

Guardsman Pass Scenic Byway

The Guardsman Pass Scenic Byway winds through 15 miles of forested mountains, connecting Park City with the Big Cottonwood Canyon. Depending on the season, the landscape ranges from fall's yellow-hued foliage to snow-capped scenes in winter, to fields of Indian paintbrush and orchid wildflowers in spring and summer. You can stop at the Guardsman Pass Overlook summit for sweeping views of the Uinta Mountains, one of the US’s highest mountain ranges.

Park City Museum

The Park City Museum, located in the downtown area, offers an interactive walkthrough of the region’s history, starting with its early inhabitants before moving on to its mining years and finally to its more recent days as a sought-after ski destination. Permanent and rotating exhibits feature historic photographs, oral histories, and life-size replicas and artifacts of objects important to the town’s past. After a few hours of exploring, grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants or cafes also on Main Street.
