Vacation rentals with a kayak in Northwest Indiana

We enjoyed access to boat, paddle boat and fishing off the dock. We went to Three Rivers for groceries which was about 20 minutes away. We liked how close the park was to walk trails one day. It was just a relaxing time with the family and loved playing the family board games provided!

My family and I were blown away by the house and its surroundings. We were a party of 10 adults attending my nephew's wedding at the Marion Magnolia Farms venue which was about 2 miles away. There was plenty of room, the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to make meals. Except the food, of course. Plenty of bath towels, blankets, etc. Bring bottled water. The backyard setting adjacent to the lake was tranquil and peaceful. The weather was beautiful for October (high 70's). We spent the evening around the fire pit making s'mores. No mosquitoes or flies. Yay!!!!!!! You literally will not want to leave!!!!!!!!!!!! But we had to get back to reality. For 3 days and 2 nights we were able to escape the busyness of everyday living. Had a wonderful time staying at Dunetop Escape! The owners were very nice and responsive. Very knowledgeable about the area and made some awesome recommendations. The house was spotless and very accommodating. The house has a lot of usable space and even more sleeping areas! Loved that they made beach days so easy as they had everything you may ever need. Will absolutely be looking to book this location again and look forward to exploring more of Michigan City.

We had a wonderful time at Mellow Yellow! The home was clean, spacious. The kitchen had everything that you could need, and the home was exactly how it was described! Marie was very flexible and easy to work with, as well as excellent in her communication. This was one of our favorite locations that we have stayed at through Airbnb. We will absolutely consider coming back again as we plan our next trip!

We had a fabulous weekend at Karen's cottage. It was quiet, cozy, and the perfect getaway from the city noise. Her thoughtfully curated home felt like stepping into a quaint 70's oasis. The home backs up to a heavily wooded area and our pup could not get enough!

Hope was very quick with communication, the home was beautiful and the setting idyllic for us.

Our stay at this cottage was absolutely perfect! The lake view was stunning, and we loved having access to the kayaks and paddle boat. It made for such fun days on the water. The home itself was spacious, spotless, and incredibly well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. Everything was labeled and thoughtfully organized, which made settling in so easy and staying here felt like a second home. There were tons of toys and puzzles to keep the kids entertained, and the comfy beds and couches made out nights so cozy and fun! There was so much to do, indoors and out. It was an experience our family will never forget. Aaron was a fantastic host! So kind, responsive, and truly welcoming. We’re already looking forward to coming back. We highly recommend this place to families, couples, solo travelers, honestly it's for anyone looking for a peaceful, fun-filled getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

The pictures don’t do this house justice. Beautiful views, comfortable and clean accommodations. We had everything we needed. Host was very responsive and kind. Thank you for allowing us to check in a bit early. It really helped after 3 long days of traveling.

We choose Trevah’s place for our family weekend getaway. It was fun. My granddaughter enjoyed the spacious home. She answered our questions in a timely manner and was helpful getting us connected with the Marina to rent a pontoon for the day. Our family had a blast. The one thing that we all had to get used to was the lack of window shades, specially for the sunrise. Don’t get us wrong. We loved all the windows. But it was something to get used to. Definitely would will consider coming back. Thank you Trevah for sharing your home with us. Otherwise lovely home.

Perfect home for a long weekend that included a Notre Dame football game. The home had plenty of space for two couples and the kitchen is beautifully updated. The house is exactly like the photos and even better in person. Lovely large yard, plenty of seating out by the lake, kayaks for use, a firepit; a great vacation home. Bonus on an ND football weekend: much less traffic coming from north of campus, easy drive getting in and out of campus.

This is a GREAT place to kickback and relax on the lake. We were attending several functions and this provided a base of operations. Gregory FULLY described both the good and the challenges of being here. We are 2 couples late 70’s and late 80’s and navigated the steps he talks about just fine. You need to be aware but not afraid. I definitely would stay here again.

if you're looking for a cabin in the woods this does not disappoint. Beautiful! Kelly is very responsive to questions.

Heidy gave us a wonderful stay. It was worth every penny. If I was in the area I would stay again and again.

The cabin was clean and cozy. Had everything we needed for our stay. Appreciated the ability to control the heat in each room. Although Mother Nature didn't cooperate during our stay (cool, rain, cool), we enjoyed the time away. So VERY quiet!!! A number of cabins/houses on the lane, but we definitely had plenty of 'breathing room' - not right up side by side of each other....I like to have some space. We probably didn't see a dozen people the day and half we were there, and didn't hear another voice the entire time. So very peaceful and quiet and relaxing!!!! Just the birds and other sounds of nature. My grandson and I really enjoyed playing cornhole - on the screened in porch (since it was cool and rainy, grass/ground wet after rain did stop in afternoon). And, we had so many laughs taking turns asking each other questions from the Family Feud game available at the cabin. Christine was very responsive to the questions I had after I reserved the place.

A go to retreat for my family of four. Fun events in the resort during holiday weekend - nice live music on an early summer night. Place was the perfect spot in front of playground and short walk to beach.

Lynette's cottage is incredible and full of history and nostalgia. Everything was absolutely perfect. From the comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, to the awesome sun porch overlooking the vintage playground and the beautiful lake. Fun and relaxation was had by all the ages of our group and we a can't wait to come for longer next season.

If you are looking for a beautiful and private and peaceful retreat, look no further! David’s place is all of the above and more! This was our second stay! The little lake ( with boat and kayak) is always fun. The house is spotless and we are welcome with cookies! Thank you so much again!

This property is beautiful and quite. It's a great place to get away from the hustle back home and disconnect from all the technology (although there are TVs in two of the bedrooms and good wifi if you need it). And the resturant recommendation that was about 10 minutes away was great food! I'd definitely recommend this if you need some time to just be with friends/family, play games, enjoy the lake and nature!

The Red Cottage was a beautiful, serene place! Peaceful, quiet and had all the amenities we needed. We stayed one night while in town for a graduation. Wish we had more time this explore the outdoors! The only challenge was the only bathroom was one the main floor and all the sleeping accommodations were on the second level. This made it difficult for my 89 yr old mother. But we made due and enjoyed our time there!! Very clean and beautiful!!
