Charmingly Rustic-Pampered Comfort

CarolineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
In addition to the comments of previous guests, I would like to add two more: 1) it is clear that Kay is a human whose intention is to live in harmony with the earth, which enhanced our experience as her guests, and 2) she thoughtfully provided items for our dog's comfort, including a soft, calming pad on which he could rest.
The studio features a spacious layout illuminated by natural light. A comfortable bed is positioned near the window, while a round dining table and modern chairs create a cozy dining nook. The kitchen area showcases wooden cabinetry and essential appliances.

Cottage Retreat Studio, Day Trips or long stay

ElizabethRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This listing is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. 2 blocks from Main Street. A great location to the Redwoods and Ft. Bragg. The host was attentive. She was quick to unlock the door when I locked the key in the room. The room was clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. I give 5 STARS.

GUEST HOUSE in young redwood forest

JacobRating, 5 stars6 months ago
I am someone who likes to take vacations in remote areas in the woods, and have been to 10-15 different AirBnBs to do so. Carolyn's is by far the coolest and coziest I have been to. I loved the setup, with a nice living room with fireplace as well as a spacious loft with extra beds and a couch to curl up on. It simultaneously felt like there was plenty of space and that it was cozy and intimate. The surrounding area is also great with beautiful beaches and a cute local town. 10/10!

Red Barn Retreat-A Peaceful Cottage

WilliamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We weren't sure what to expect - but our stay was beyond expectations. Mendocino was a new destination for us. This property was out of town, but really just a 15 min drive and you had amazing ocean to explore, and everything Mendocino has to offer. The rental is exactly as shown, and one of our favorite things was the super comfy mattress! There is a beautiful, private patio right off the bedroom too. We did eat at the Trillium Cafe, very good. Be sure to make a reservation. We can't say enough about Richard and Gabriele, so friendly, just a lovely couple. Their house isn't far, but yet this property feels very private. We would definitely go back! Thank you again for the bottle of Chardonnay.

Ocean View Water Tower Cottage

JessicaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a short peaceful trip to Mendocino for an event in town. The cottage is easy to find and a short walk to everything in town. We didn’t know about the history of the water towers in Mendocino before and we loved learning about them. The views are beautiful and this was a great place to relax and unwind for a few days, we’d love to stay again!

Stunning Ocean Views from NEW Suite

KendraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Hubby was in desperate need of some down time working 60 hour wks the last 5 months. This was a last minute booking for a quick getaway. The view is amazing. Most post photos of what it’s like 10 mins down the road- this is a perfect ocean view, private and the hot tub was what he needed to truly relax. There is no tv - which forced us to relax. Bring a book, sit out on the patio and enjoy the quiet. We brought stuff to cook- including olive oil, spices, mayo- wasn’t necessary quite a bit of basic cooking spices and such are on hand. I don’t know if it’s the location or luck, but we weren’t impacted by fog or wind. Stargazing over the ocean… pretty rare on Sonoma coast … so was shocked to experience it. Be prepared that you are about 10-15 mins from fort Bragg. It’s not a big deal, but this location is about getting away and enjoying quiet.

DonRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Nika's place, the Artist Studio was well equipped, clean and warm as outside temps dipped into the lower 30's. Great outside shower accessible from the inside bathroom, so it didn't fell like going outside at all. We had a great time. We were three which worked out well.

Poet’s Cabin

JimRating, 5 stars17 months ago
Everything from the turn off Hwy 1, up the road and to the cabin, was a winner from the start. Our host, Velina, was there to greet us & assured us to contact her for any concerns or needs. The accommodations are extremely comfortable and with the sun hitting the front, it stays warm with the passive solar. Lighting is good, the bed is comfortable and warm & the kitchen area with supplied utensils, pots & pans, etc were plentiful. More than enough to make any meal you'd like. For those that want to relax watching a movie, the TV is large with access to many of your favorite streams. It was very easy to feel at home in this large & spacious cabin and I know that we'll be back. Thank you, Velina , for a most wonderful New Years weekend. I highly recommend this charming and relaxing cabin.

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage. It was impeccably clean and well maintained, and it was truly a home away from home. Jon had the kitchen stocked up, fresh and great smelling linens and towels. We appreciate the thoughtful touches throughout the cottage, and the location was just perfect for our needs. Highly recommend.

Artist’s Retreat by the Seaside

MollyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This retreat is everything it seems and more. Brinda is kind, helpful, and responsive. The space is very close to the main road (convenient), but still set back enough that we felt peaceful. It's quiet, surrounded by nature, and serene. The beds and linens were clean, comfortable, and cozy. it can get cold in FB in April, but Brinda provided heaters and we were never uncomfortable. The kitchen had more than we needed, and the art supplies were just such a cool touch. Can't wait to rent from Brinda again!

The Getchell Cottage on the California Coast

MeganRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Mary was a wonderful host - greeted us with flowers and firewood when we arrived and invited our kids to come pick pears and strawberries with her (which were delicious) but also respected our space and privacy. There was a box of toys when we arrived and the fold-out sofa was all set up for the little ones. The house has a kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals and really nice-smelling soaps. The property overlooks the ocean and you can whale watch ten feet from the cabin's front door. (There are also redwoods and we saw two deer on the property, along with chickens and an extremely chill cat.) If you haven't been to the Mendocino coast you're in for a real treat - just mile after mile of gorgeous hikes and beaches, with cute towns in either direction. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, lovely Japanese-inspired cottage, even nicer in person than the listing. Garden + pond is scenic, and super walkable to the sand dunes/beach. Owner does live on property and we did see her around after check-in, met her adorable dog. Very relaxing stay!

Charming Seaside Holiday House

RachelRating, 5 stars2 days ago
My friends and I stayed at Brinda's Airbnb, and it was absolutely beautiful. It was such a peaceful place, sitting outside and listening to the birds was so relaxing. The inside felt magical. I loved the cute teacups, and there were even art supplies! We visited a few local spots near the Airbnb, like Glass Beach and the Skunk Train. I would absolutely recommend this place to friends, family, or anyone interested in visiting Fort Bragg. Thank you, Brinda!
