Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Luzerne County

This home was the perfect stay for a long weekend trip. It was in a very central area to all the surrounding places I was hoping to visit. The neighborhood was quiet and had cute wildlife to view such as deer and abundant bird species. The home itself was the right size for my pup Grady, my mom (who got to explore Jim Thorpe area for the first time!!) and myself. It was clean and felt cozy. Thank you for the wonderful stay at your Pocono home!

Justin was a amazing host. He took hosting to the next level with his effort in accommodating my group! House was beautiful. It definitely match the description. I would definitely come back!

Girls trip with 7 woman. House was perfect for us. Lots of bedrooms which was great. Comfortable beds n nice clean linens. Love that there was a small beach we could gather to view the lake. Very pretty n relaxing. About 12 min into jim Thorpe for an afternoon of browsing the shops n dinner. Highly recommend Linda’s place.

Spend a peaceful weekend here for a birthday weekend with friends! The house is beautifully designed, very clean and a good location for a wide variety of activities. We enjoyed watching the deer outside the window and appreciated the well stocked kitchen.

The cabin is adorable, cozy, and gives the rustic, mountain feel. It is in walking distance to the lake and restaurants. Wildlife is plentiful, as the deer come frequently and look at you when you talk to them, and I even got to see one of the resident bears. The cabin is well stocked with kitchen wear, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee and coffee additives.. I would definitely stay again.

Our stay at the Boulder House was enjoyable, with excellent amenities and impeccable decor. The personalized touches like the ombre wall in one bedroom and paw prints in another were charming. As others have mentioned, the walls are thin (it's an older cottage that was renovated), and the ceiling lights are controlled by remote (with each remote communicating with multiple fixtures). The porch was a highlight for us; there's nothing like a good cup of coffee (coffee maker provided) while watching the Poconos deer. This property was lovely with great water pressure and a very cool faucet. We have also stayed at Keith and Kylie's other property, the Crimson Cottage, and ultimately we preferred that one with the claw foot tub, gas fireplace, being more set back and plethora of deer.

The experience at Chestnut Tree Lodge was nothing short of extraordinary! When we stepped inside, we were greeted by a picturesque interior that was equal parts inviting and IG-able! I’ve never stayed at an Airbnb property that felt more like my home than my own home. HA! If you’re looking to stay at an absolute OASIS that’s full of character, charm and an a number of relaxing nooks for every member family to enjoy, book the Chestnut Tree Lodge. 5 stars all around, thank you Jessica!!! xoxo

Bill was an absolute pleasure to rent from! He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, always available to chat with and had so many amazing stories to tell us. The house was so homely and comfortable! We truly enjoyed our visit!

We drove in from 3 different states for graduation weekend & stayed at this amazing apartment. Extremely spacious, but also many quaint gathering areas. Very clean, private, quiet & so much character. The kitchen was well stocked although we did not prepare meals there. We ate out one evening & hosted a catered graduation dinner the next.A perfect place for us to gather & celebrate our daughter’s graduation. We did hit the first 80° weekend of the year so window AC units weren’t in yet. A very quick message to Esther & her husband was there within 15 minutes installing them. Their response to messages & questions were amazing! Outstanding hosts! When booking I was unsure about the street parking, but there were always spots in front of & on the side of the house. This was excellent considering both University of Scranton & Marywood graduated the same weekend. We loved our stay & wouldn’t hesitate to book this again. Esther was a delight to rent from! I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

We loved everything about our stay here. So comfortable inside with beautiful finishes, comfy bedding and anything we needed in the kitchen. We were able to spread out, have 2 bathrooms to share, yet plenty of space to gather together. The hosts immediately responded to any questions making our stay stress free. We loved the lake view, sat by the pond in the back and drank coffee on the deck in the sun. Highly recommend Derek and Ronnie’s place and would definitely return when in the area again!

We rented the place to work nightshift at the nuclear plant in Berwick. When we arrived the animal hospital below kinda worried us because of us working nights but it was quiet. The place was clean and parking was good. Owner was very nice and responsive to any question we had. Would definitely recommend.

This was my second stay at Rob’s place, and once again it was a great experience. The house, tucked away in the Green Ridge area of Scranton, is quiet, charming, and full of character. It has that cozy, old-home feel that’s both welcoming and comfortable. Rob is a very attentive host—quick to respond and clearly thoughtful about making sure everything goes smoothly. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

Family friendly neighborhood location, with children playing by day and quiet at night. Safe and pleasant with stores within walking distance.

The location would be amazing if the crash rate would be low. However the home on its own brought an amazing experience to me and my family. We had a quiet and peaceful stay.

One of the best Airbnbs I have stayed in. From check in to check out, everything was smooth. They don't say it on the listing but we had an unexpected visitor too; The cutest Orange Cat right outside the door. The place was well equipped and very clean, too. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're looking at reviews before booking this place, this one should be it.

Our stay at Paul's place was great! The place met (even exceeded) all expectations with thoughtful touches like a flashlight, floor mat and bowls for our pup! The location is central to most all attractions/events in the area. We were in town for a family event and this place gave us the safety and space to move through our itinerary seamlessly. Paul was communicative and easy to reach.

Chelsea’s place was nice and cozy! I especially loved the real plants, faux fur heavy bedding, an assortment of different pillows, and the giant love sac bean bag. Chelsea was very nice and responsive and offered a free late checkout to wait out an ice storm. Host made sure walkways were cleared and ice melt was put down before checkout, which shows how much they care about their guests and their property. Parking was very easy and in front of the unit, which made it very helpful to carry in our belongings. I felt very safe and secure at this location. Thanks for a great stay Chelsea!

Scott’s place was very nice and peaceful. We stayed at several properties in the Jack Frost development, and this one was the nicest. Check in was easy and flexible with an electronic door lock. It was clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable. The washer and dryer in the unit were definitely helpful. The amenities were as listed and we had everything we needed. I would absolutely stay here again without any hesitation.

Great stay. For the price you can’t beat it. Great view outside on the deck and lovely home. there were lots of activities to do around the area aswell. Would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed are stay especially the use of the fireplace and the kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy meals with the family. My nieces enjoyed the upstairs own space with partial bathroom. This place looks exactly has published. Very quiet and relaxing surroundings.

Melissa’s place was everything I needed for my stay! I loved the provided bath linens and access to extra blankets if needed! The apartment was even better than shown in the pictures - a cute, quaint little place! It was conveniently located close to food and various “shopping” (CVS, family dollar, etc) that could easily be walked to, as well! If you stay, make it a point to go downstairs for food/drinks - the CBR pasta & French onion meatloaf were SO delicious! Would absolutely stay again!
