Near the historic town of Clifton Forge, you will find the peaceful escape you have been searching for. The area is ideal for hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing and fishing. Our home has recently been completely remodeled and furnished to accommodate 8 people, with four bedrooms and two baths.

Gloriously private without feeling secluded, this charming guesthouse was totally updated in 2019. Enjoy the peace and quiet. Go for a walk or bike ride on the 28 plus acres or pretty rural lanes. 2.5 miles away is Lake Robertson for activities . Sit on the porch too! On a snowy night, enjoy the wd-burning fireplace . (We will often leave fireplace prepared to light. Gas heating also). Get cozy with the full kitchen, washer/dryer, games and books. DirecTv in the living room and bedroom. too!

Edifice Rex, a 300 square foot studio apartment, is only one mile and less than 2 minutes from Interstate 81 yet offers a very bucolic, peaceful setting. Countless cultural, historical and recreational opportunities exist within a 30 mile radius. The James River and Appalachian Trail are but minutes away. The name, "Edifice Rex" is to honor the caretaker on the property, a German Shepard named Rex. You will not have to interact with him ( he wears a radio collar) but he welcomes attention.

This home provides the best of both worlds, guaranteeing a comfortable base from which to explore Clifton Forge and its surrounding area. A comfy loft suite for your getaway. Private entrance and deck. Kitchenette -wood countertop, refrigerator under the counter. Microwave, toaster oven, sandwich grill, coffee maker, some dishes/pans. No range. Spiral stairs. The bathroom is open, but around the corner from living space, has a privacy curtain. Tiny Space with a great big view! Right on the Warm Spring! Go down the hill and right in the spring, warm year round. May Not be suitable for older adults, READ on.

Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath guest house sleeps four looking over the Cowpasture River on a 350 acre working farm. Guest may use of our concrete tennis court and explore miles of hiking trails that lead to the national forest. Farm is surrounded by over 2.5 miles of the Cowpasture River. There is a gravel beach right beside the bridge entering the farm where one can enjoy wading and swimming. River here is 3-4 feet deep depending on the season and stream flow.
