We had a fantastic 2-night stay at Jim’s beautiful old home. So clean, so thoughtful & tasteful decorated. Great first sunny day for biking & hiking on Harlem Valley Rail Trail and close to restaurants in town. But also great second day when caught in snowstorm. Jim’s house is warm, cozy, comfortable, perfect for a day to relax, read, watch movies, cook, and enjoy the beautiful view. Thank you and we will certainly come back.

This Sharon home is the perfect spot for people who love old quirky homes. Hidden doors, lots of beadboard, beautiful windows original to the house, creaky floors, floral wallpaper, etc. We are those people! For any parents with toddlers: the house is close to the road on a hill so we had to keep an eye on our 3yo outside but we didn’t mind. We played a lot of games in the living room overlooking the trees and made s’mores at night outside. My girls loved the swing in the screened-in porch. Lots of hikes nearby. Good restaurants within 20 minutes. Lots of little downtowns to explore. Our friends live in Amenia so it was perfect to only be 15 min away. Would stay here again!

One thing that I love about this location is that as soon as we arrived, we felt right at home. The house is very cozy and there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas. This is a home that we would rent out again in the future!

Enjoyed a perfect 4 night stay on Candlewood Isle with our family. We loved the house’s amazing lake views with full windows! Great spaces to relax and nice tucked away corners for quiet also. The mattresses were extra comfortable! Easily accessible to local towns for good dining. We would absolutely stay here again when in the area. Smooth seamless stay!

We loved our stay here. 4 nights, and we did not want to leave. Dreamy, private location, surrounded by woods. Angela and Nico were responsive and gave us all the info needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Julia was an absolute pleasure. I required some special accommodations which we had discussed prior to my visit, and she was amazing about it. The property is stunning. I would 100% recommended Julia’s place, and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a couple friends. Perfect spot for a quick getaway. Backyard and pool area was exactly what we were looking for with lots of space to lounge and relax. Lots of entertainment if you wanted to just hang inside as well. As some of the other reviewers noted, you can definitely hear the hosts move around upstairs. Didn't impact us too much except for Saturday morning. Was a little difficult to sleep in b/c of the noise.

We started at David’s place for a bachelorette party and had an amazing time! The view over the lake is unreal and there was plenty of space for eight of us total. The driveway is a little bit tricky to get in and out of, but we had no issues at all – just flagging for those with larger cars and/or coming in bad weather.

Jessica and Adrian were such wonderful hosts! Incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful. We truly felt welcomed. Home was beautiful and the location was also beautiful and peaceful. It’s clear a lot of thought, work, and love went into this home

This wonderful antique home is in a Beautiful spot in the heart of Litchfield CT, and a delight early spring when the fields of daffodils awake! This unique 1793 house has a great view & sunset, fireplace, simple spa/gym making it a gem even when the pool is closed. Nearby the town with lots to offer and local farms for food shopping too. What’s not to love 💛 Bonus is a great host offering a home that is in touch with the realities of rentals, pets and people -not picky, precious or punitive. Happy to recommend and return! The Cottage at Blackberry River Inn was beautiful and exactly what we needed for the weekend. Breakfast was included and wonderful. This place is a gem and we will be back for sure.

This was the second time I stayed at Vicki's gorgeous place. Vicki's is 8 minutes from my sister's house and if all goes well I will always stay at Vicki's when I am visiting as it's such a lovely place and so convenient while giving me and my partner the privacy we want when visiting extended family. Vicki's apartment is cozy and extremely clean and beautifully decorated in a modern/country style that I love.

I believe this is our 4th or 5th visit here. We finally got to meet Mijail. What a great couple. We come back here because we really like staying there and it is so convenient to our daughter's house nearby. And its so nice to get away after a day with the grandkids. Pop a bottle of wine and unwind. We enjoyed the ceiling fan on arrival day as it was hot outside, but nice and cool inside. There is a big TV, but in all the stays we were there, we never once turned it on. Two energetic grandkids is exhausting. So its nice to retreat. This place is very private up on a hill. We never hear any neighbors. We will be back again.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for 3 months and enjoyed our time very much. We were very happy from every perspective: The cottage had all the equipment we needed and wished for. We sometimes used the fireplace and loved the bed/couch. The cottage is perfect to rest and focus. We enjoyed to have so much nature around us. We took a walk in the close park with a lake almost every day. We liked to live at a small farm with dogs, chicken and goose. Debbie and Kirk were always there when we needed them and also made us internationals feel welcome. They explained and helped us proactively e.g. changed regional weather circumstances. We also regularly got eggs from the chicken what was always a nice surprise. Communication/ interactions were always easy and friendly. I recommended my work to plan future stays for assignments in this Airbnb. In our opinion it is better than a hotel: Very comfortable, cozy, close to nature and a special American experience. This place was great. A perfect getaway with its own beach and close to all the CT small towns. We only wish it had been later in the season to be able to take advantage of the lake.

My family absolutely loved our stay! The home has been beautifully restored and is comfortable and clean. It was the perfect quiet getaway we were hoping for, while being close to all conveniences such as grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops.

I chose Marlene’s lovely spot primarily because it was in a location convenient for short trips to visit family and friends in Wallingford, Middlebury and Middletown while on my way south from New Hampshire. The peaceful, quiet surroundings along with a spotless, well-appointed accommodation made it very appealing: highly recommended.

Jeff is an awesome host! Would love to stay there again. He went above and beyond for our puppy when we were delayed coming back from the airport. He checked on her and made us feel reassured that our puppy was ok. The place is cozy, love the fireplace, and the home is beautiful.
