We really enjoyed the peaceful setting of The Willow. The cabin was warm and cozy, and had everything we needed in addition to a few thoughtful special touches. Some highlights for us - the sound of the creek flowing in the backyard, dark and quiet nights on the deck looking at the stars, and the hot tub. Gretchen is a thoughtful, kind, and responsive host!

We had a great time at Kristen's cozy cabin. Kristen & Luis did a beautiful job renovating & decorating - it is stunning! We enjoyed the hot tub, and their local food recommendations--Benjamin's is a must! Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in Goode/the greater Lynchburg area.

The Roudy Retreat was an excellent place to celebrate my wife’s Bday!! The home was spotless and our host was very helpful and friendly. The wood stove kept us warm and was prelit! Hot tub and beds were cozy and warm. We will be back!!

We had a fabulous time during our stay! It was so cozy and private and we felt right at home. The beds were super comfortable and she had everything we needed. We loved using the hot tub and will have to come back in the summer to use the pool. She was located just 30ish minutes outside of Charlottesville and was extremely close to all the wineries and breweries so if you are going vineyard hopping it is the PERFECT location. We cannot wait to come back

Everything about the Empty Nest Cottage is amazing. Shawana Lynn was very responsive and helpful. I took my wife there for a surprise birthday getaway. When we arrived, there was a nice gift basket, Birthday card and balloons on the table for my wife. A very thoughtful gesture. It's a bit of a drive to get anywhere but that is exactly what we wanted. We had some friends meet us there and we all enjoyed the hot tub fire pit and pool table. Once you go get out of the area, there are plenty of good wineries in the area. The only thing that could have made it better was to be able to stay longer. We definitely plan to stay there again sometime. Hopefully in the warmer weather.

By far one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. I have so many good things to say. It’s obvious they spent a lot of time, effort, and thought to make this place the oasis it is. The space screams deliberate intention, resulting in THE coziest ambiance. They even decorated for Christmas! Our favorite activity was sitting out by the fire pit at night and listening to the creek. As someone who always overpacks because “what if I need this random item to make my trip perfect?” I LOVED that they had everything I needed or wanted, and I mean EVERYTHING. I’ve never been more pleased to find out half of what I packed was useless. But most importantly to me, the bed was comfortable and the home was pristine.

Five star, gorgeous cabin in the woods on the side of a mountain. Spectacular view. Nicely located 15 minutes away from the nearest necessities. Host were very quick to respond with questions and requests. Easy access to local trails and locations provided in binder format. They suppled plenty of wood for the week we were there for the fire pit and/or fire place. Great place to star gaze. Just turned off all the lights and it was beautiful. Host even baked us zucchini bread. Highly recommend.

Words can’t explain the location and beauty of the cabin and its outdoor amenities. It’s off grid, no electricity or cellphones. Perfect place to detach from the world and be with yourself in nature. I love roughing it and it’s not truly roughing it but it makes you feel as if you are a part of Nature. The farms has friendly animals that you can pet and talk too. Must have a 4wd or SUV to get to the cabin. It’s completely secluded from the farm itself. It’s like being on Alone but you didn’t have to built your shelter. We went on a full moon and the sky was lit and beautiful. Thinks to have great hiking waterproof boots, headlamps, solar Lights (property has some), extra socks, and your food of choice or have the farm cook for you. BEST WEEKEND GETAWAY EVER. I would go back again and again to detach and enjoy nature. And that river is amazing. That’s the only sounds you hear other than a train every few few hours. Thank you Dan and Trish for an amazing weekend getaway!!!

This is a wonderful cabin! It’s small but enough. It’s so well decorated that I spent time admiring it! The architecture is a beautiful cabin with exposed beams. Sarah left us homemade muffins, juice, farm fresh eggs, s’more fixings and much more. They have a sweet dog who sheepishly looked at us but we won him over🥰. The sheep grazing is a plus. There’s a beautiful fire pit but it’s so dry and lots of fallen leaves so we felt better of it. We loved the cabin and will plan to return next year for the equestrian finals that’s only ~ 5 miles away. So convenient! Thank you Sarah & John !

Wonderful little cabin. I was so impressed with how clean it was. It was a great family weekend place to visit our son at school.

This was the perfect escape. It was so quiet and the daily walks by the river were exactly what I needed.

Bear Necessities is a great place to stay! It has rustic charm but modern amenities. The king bed is very comfortable and the sheets are great! WiFi worked well even near the fire pit. The property is walkable for your dog to get exercise without leaving the property. Kendra is a responsive host. The other cabins on the property look great as well! We can’t wait to comeback.

We’ve stayed at the cabin before and are never disappointed. Very peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Always feel refreshed and a little hesitant to leave. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Everything was great for a nice weekend getaway. Very private, the dogs were able to run through the woods with no worries. We decided to drive to the wineries which were about an hour away. The deck and fire pit were perfect to watch the sunset over the valley! The gas stove wasn't working but he had a nice electric burner to cook on. Overall the place looked very new and was very clean!

My parents and I had the most lovely getaway in Bedford for a few days after Thanksgiving. We were able to take our two dogs with us (they had a blast!) and enjoy this idyllic cabin. Christy went out of her way to make it feel homey with fall decorations, a kitchen stocked with kitchenware for cooking, snacks, a Keurig, etc. This was my parent’s first Air Bnb experience and they were blown away by how thoughtful our hosts were! We felt so cozy surrounded by nature in this space and enjoyed the National D-Day Memorial and lots of hiking nearby. Thank you again, Christy!

Amazing and YES, cozy but not small country cottage! Beautiful Natural and well kept outdoors. Many sitting and dinning areas. inside provided tremendous light, many windows, Amazing space and separation of sleeping areas and very private bath. Kitchen perfectly laid out with much space for multiple cooks. Clean, private, quite and indoor bug free environment. Two perfect fire pits; one secluded for privacy and another perfect for gatherings. Perfect ambience. We felt we were home away from home. We had last minute request and Michelle was flexible, accommodating and went beyond host duties to fulfill our unusual needs. We will definitely return for another country cozy get away. Check in/out instructions were clear and minimal. Thank you for an amazing getaway! Look for us to return. We will definitely tell our friends!

All in all everything went very well! I have a few comments to leave behind. If you are going to experience nature/getaway this won't matter, our guys were very hopeful to watch a college game and the TV was difficult to figure out at first. We did use the cast feature from our phones. It was very helpful that we had a nice flashlight. I failed to review amenities. Please bring your own wash cloths, soaps & perhaps an extra roll of tp & paper towels just in case. The included baby gate was a godsend!!! Low profile vehicles use caution. The driveway had significant humps & bumps. (Our party included a minivan & a midsize SUV. We were fine) We were BLESSED to observe a doe come down the mountain with a buck following. He was close enough you could see his tongue out getting a better sniff! 😆 We wished we could have stayed MANY more sleeps & enjoy more of the cabin. We were in the area for a baby shower in Bedford. I would like to return to enjoy the cabin/mountain.

Lovely cabin, quiet, well equipped and clean. It is conveniently located near shops, and even though stands alone is close to other houses. Thank you for hosting us, we had a great time.

Best arbnb we been to. Private, beautiful, unique, and many amenities. Loved the 200 year old cabin with a mixed of old and new. You can tell lots of love was put into the renovations. You can see sunrise and sunset from back porch. Pictures don’t do it justice. The host was really nice and he gave us our privacy once we were guided through the house. I recommend you stay here.

This was our 4th time at Steve’s cabin as it has become a favorite destination for my wife and I. If you want something rural, isolated, and peaceful - this is it. Thanks, Steve.

If you’re looking for that picturesque getaway in the hills of VA, this is it. The log cabin is so cute and from the second you walk in you feel right at home. Far enough away from everything yet close enough that it’s convenient. A little road noise but it’s tolerable. Definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay in the cabin. It was so peaceful and tranquil. We loved being able to walk out each morning and greet the horses. They were so sweet and gentle. Watching the sunrise and sunset each day was magnificent. This place is a gem.

Beautiful campground with a nice canoe launch site. We got lucky since we were the only ones at the campground. It was very quiet and beautiful!
