Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Alexander

We recently made the trek to Aitkin area for some family events and wanted a rental that fit all of our family but also had a view. Even though it was still frozen, the lake was a beautiful back drop. The home was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with anything we needed for a comfortable stay. We cooked our own meals and everything worked great. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake! Highly recommend.

We loved our extended stay at this cabin. It was the perfect place to bridge our move the area. It is cozy and comfortable with everything you need to feel right at home! The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. You are close to great restaurants, trails, golf courses and shopping! On a rainy day there is a garage full of games and activities to keep you entertained. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend to everyone we know coming to the area. Adam was very responsive to any questions we had.

Great place to stay for a quiet weekend. Colleen was a great host. Hopefully will book again in the future!

Awesome cabin with beautiful views and all the amenities

This was a really special trip. We booked last minute after finding out my dad passed away and it was the perfect place to start healing. This cabin is adorable and has an incredible view. We were able to get a really beautiful view of the northern lights one night and we had beautiful sunsets everyday. There aren’t too many restaurants or things to do close by, which was what we were looking for, but just something to keep in mind. Although we didn’t bring our dogs, this was a very dog friendly rental. They had dog toys, bowls, and baggies. It’s a really sweet place and I hope we can come back. We did have some minor issues when we first arrived, but the owner was super responsive and very nice. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

So much room and plenty of privacy for a large family. The large kitchen made it easy for gathering and cooking together. All necessary housewares provided for everything we had planned for meals. The local Caribou coffee cups were a nice touch! The bathrooms are roomy with plenty of towels provided. Love the bedroom/bed options and the beds are comfortable. On the water tranquility conveniently located just 15 minutes from everything you need in town. Communication with the host was top notch. We had a couple requests that were responded to immediately and kindly. We left knowing we will be back!

Our stay was great. I planned this trip for my fiancés birthday and she loved every minute of it . This place was exactly how I pictured it . My fiance was literally jumping for joy we plan on making this a yearly thing ! We arrived to to nice music and good smells and a birthday gift. Everything was great. We appreciate all the hard work that you all put into this place. This is something truly to treasure.

1. Favorite: The beds were super comfy… u will get a great night sleep any of the 4 beds that are here… we all loved it. The beds were amazing.. High-lights: 2. Good time snowmobiling and ice fishing on the lake. 3. Relaxing in the hot tub at 10pm, 20° outside with many stars in the sky…

Garrett’s place was so cozy and cute! We loved relaxing there with our little family. The hot tub feels private without neighbors being able to see you. The beds are nice (primary bedroom bed is super plush, but you can take the mattress topper cover off if that doesn’t work for your back). We loved walking to the restaurant in the evenings and playing darts and enjoying their specials. You can see the lake from the cabin windows, and the sunset from the kitchen. There were a lot of hospitable details that we really appreciated.

We loved the weekend stay here! We spent most of our time in the garage that was converted to a game room. Foosball, pool, ping pong, and a large round table that was great for playing cards with the group. The igloo outside was great as a hang during the morning for coffee and a book before the rest of the group woke up. It was also great at night to be able to sit outside with the electric fireplace. I had a wonderful stay at this cabin while celebrating my 21st birthday with family. The photos don’t fully capture how scenic and beautiful the place is. The kitchen and living room were spacious, filled with natural light, and perfect for gathering. The entire house, including the bedrooms and bathrooms, was clean and well-maintained. The highlight was definitely the backyard and deck. The sunset over the lake was stunning, making for great photos. We even saw a couple of deers as well. Despite visiting in late March with temperatures in the 40s, the hot tub was a game-changer—clean, warm, and incredibly relaxing. The downstairs and under-deck area also provided a great space to unwind. The only minor inconvenience was a slight sulfur smell in the water, which disappeared after flushing. Additionally, the foosball table could use some attention as I believe the orientation of the players are backwards. Overall, I highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway.

Wonderful place for our group! Plenty of room to spread out and large open spaces to be together!

We had an absolutely lovely and cozy experience. We stayed the last weekend of October, and despite the chilly nights, the cabin was toasty warm. The stars were incredible and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. We loved the kerosene lamps and reading while rocking on the porch. We hope to come back for a longer stay next time and visit the local Amish shops. Thank you to John and Ruth for sharing your lovely cabin! We enjoyed the photos and news clippings in the photo album so much.

2nd time at this cabin - its perfect for our girls weekend and we love the walking paths.

This was our second stay at Michael's place. Just as before, we found it very accommodating, clean, and in a great location. Very quiet and peaceful with lots of beautiful trees around. It has been challenging to find quality accommodations when we visit Wadena so we have really appreciated this cozy cabin!

The cabin is cozy and very pretty. You can relax and have a good time. It has incredible views. I loved it!

Great location, big back yard and squeaky clean accommodations. Felt so cozy and right at home with the fire place going upon our arrival. The perfect little place for a week long getaway with our pups. Hosts were very communicative and flexible with check in and out. Would absolutely return!

We had a great stay! Our original accommodations canceled the night before our trip up north, and she accepted our trip right away! She was very responsive, overall would stay again!!

Great gathering area/main living room for our women’s ministry to meet and use for our activities and sessions. We had enough rooms to accommodate all our guests. Thank you for a place to use and spend time with each other!

We booked this home because of a wedding at a nearby venue. 7 of us enjoyed the living room with cozy blankets, the electric fireplace. The kitchen with was spacious fully stocked & great for the few meals we had there. A variety of spices & a plethora of pots/pans/cooking equipment was a bonus. the kitchen table had enough chairs and space for everyone- which we appreciated. Other places we have stayed at - didn’t have enough seating for us even though we under the max people allowed. Beds were clean and comfortable. Enough towels for all. I had a problem turning on the water - and the hosts responded very quickly to help resolve the issue. Very responsive & available to help. We would consider this home in the future for a longer stay- but it worked perfectly for our short stay & event.
