We have been staying here for 2 years and call it home! The view and privacy can't be beat! Right on the river with an outdoor patio and sliding glass door to enjoy the views from outside and inside. Basic kitchen amenities, exactly what we need. Comfortable bed with extra pillows and blankets. Always very clean, clutter free, and welcoming. Can't wait for our next stay.

We had a wonderful time at this fabulous AirB&B! It was a well decorated place and was very comfortable and roomy! We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay in Brownsville and felt right at home! The space was very nice and super clean. We had everything we needed and more. We checked out the binder of recommendations and ordered pizza from Saxon Hall in town, very good and walking distance from the Airbnb. We look forward to staying again in the future!

The Original is a one-of-a-kind gem. I've been travelling for 25 years from Chicago to La Crosse to visit my in-laws and now that our kids are in their late-teens, we have been enjoying staying downtown so we can walk to coffee shops, bookstores, the food co-op, boutiques, and do all-the-things while we are catching up with family. The Original exceeded my expectations, and our stay was a fantastic way to start the winter season.

We have stayed here before and loved it! Very nice location: walkable to grocery store, local bars and restaurants and our family just down the block. The space is very comfortable and well stocked kitchen. Very quiet, which is important to me. We definitely will stay again!

This was our first time staying here. We visit LaCrosse every weekend during the football season. Host communicated instructions clearly, and offered other local recommendations. This space is about the size of a hotel room on the second story. The bed is in the middle of the room and the bathroom to the left and sitting area to the right. TV is on wall opposite bed. Small fridge microwave, and bench under TV. Kitchen area is on bathroom wall right when you walk in. Nice large closet upon entering, for luggage and storage. 2 big windows on either side of bed. Windows open and a nice breeze came through. Bathroom is huge. Very comfy chairs. A/C worked great. Very nice neighborhood. We stopped at a few rummage sales and walked to a park nearby. Definitely recommend this Airbnb and we will be saving this one for future use. We never had to reach out to host and host did not reach out to us. We like our privacy and appreciated the host respecting that.

It was very clean, quiet, and cozy! The set up was wonderful. Easy to understand instructions and great responsiveness. We would love to stay here again.

We stayed in Kirsten's place about 10 days and liked it very much. It has everything we need. The apartment is quite and with beautiful view of the river. Will come back again.

An architectural delight. This awesome old building was recently converted into modern living spaces. Very comfortable and clean. Walkable neighborhood, right in the middle of everything. Host was very responsive and friendly. One thing to note is that the building is right next to a bar. This can cause some late night noise on the weekends. Random shouting and whooping it up occurred until about 1 AM. Check out Muddled Thyme for their delicious brickoven pizza! Highly recommend the local Shakespeare festival as well. Phenomenal quality shows. Not what one might expect from a small town in the middle of Minnesota.

This was a great place for me and my friends to stay for the weekend. Everything nearby was walkable, rooms were spacious for my friends and I, the location was beautiful, and overall just enjoyed this stay.

We needed to book a place at the last minute because the other airbnb owner where our family had book changed their policy the week of our trip from pet-friendly to NO PETS. We have a puppy and had to either cancel the trip or find another location. Laurie's place is dog-friendly and adorable! It was a lovely place to stay during our annual family trout fishing trip to NE Iowa in the area northeast of Decorah. Laurie and her husband were delightful and friendly. We will definitely come back!

What a wonderful place! We were so comfortable and everything we needed or desired was at the place. Comfy bed, loved the perfect temp tea maker and the treat of espresso, fully equipped kitchen, enjoyed the little cafe table and couch, and such a cozy living room. The touch of robes and soft sheets and the softest towels wow. Location good for accessing hiking and day tripping to Winona and Trempeleau and then returning to our sweet quiet spot. Also we enjoyed the history books about the region. Thank you!!

My bestie and I did one night. Wish we had booked more!! Really delightful place. We stayed in the larger upstairs apt. Worth the stairs. She thought of everything!!
