Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kingsport

Place was great. Location would be amazing in the winter, not as much to do in the spring, but the location is walkable to restaurants, and a little hiking trail. House was clean and everything was as advertised.

The cozy basement suite was so nice and spacious with its large living room area & the gas log fireplace. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything. There are plenty of towels for shower and hot tub. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing. Brad is the kindest host that we have ever met and he was very helpful with suggestions for local restaurants - he even offered to pick up dinner for us! And he gave us a beautiful calendar for 2025. Thank you, Brad & Susan, for an amazing stay! We will not look for another place on our next ski trip in the area (and hopefully it will be available since the words are getting out about this amazing place).

Beautiful home with plenty of space. The view of the mountains off the rear deck are priceless and the hot tub turned those cool days into a warm relaxing day. Would recommend everyone to stay at the freckled fawn for their getaway to the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It was a little farther off the beaten path than we anticipated, but definitely worth it. I’d recommend driving the mountain roads during the day the first time you arrive—it would’ve made finding the driveway and parking much easier for us. The bunk beds were a little smaller than we anticipated and a bit hard, but the queen and king beds were great! Overall great stay!

Tanya’s place was all you could imagine and more! The home was clean and cozy. Perfect for my family. The view was immaculate from waking up to going to bed. Things to do if you want to spend the day out. We ventured to Tweetsie Railroad but we also spent one day just lounging at the home. We loved it and would definitely go again. Tanya was quick at responding when I had questions and upon arriving I did have a couple but she answered in a timely manner and never made me feel as if I was a bother. Thank you Tanya for allowing us to enjoy your little piece of peace!

Awesome stay! The cabin is full of fun, you really don’t have to leave. Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of linens. I especially loved the fans upstairs since it is warmer. Do let it be noted that the drive up the mountain to the cabin is very scary and I would recommend arriving during the day. Other than that, a great stay.

Perfect place for my husband’s family yearly reunion, the house is an old country home, that’s what my husband and sisters loved the most. There is a barn, like an old small church, they were amazed by it, they spent a good time there singing hymns and praising. Lovely and memorable time for the family. The perfect spot! The place was absolutely what we expected. The photos don’t do it justice. It was private, quiet, well maintained with a beautiful sprawling yard and surrounding property. Our doggo absolutely loved running through the field. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us and the dog. All the linens were fresh and smelled great. The seating inside was wonderful for tv time and dinner. Elevation changes are common in the area and we loved to rolling roads and property. The hosts were excellent toward us and we had some good conversation after check in. If we find ourselves back in the area, we will absolutely love the cottage. Richard and Martha's place was very relaxing. It was nice seeing all the deer on the way in and stopping by the visitors center at the park to see the water. We will be back again.

Great location! It’s a very comfortable place to stay. We love the restaurants, shopping, hiking and views in the area.

This was our second time staying at this property in the main house, and it was absolutely fantastic again. I plan to come back again whenever I can find the time. The hosts are very kind and helpful, and there isnt a thing I would change about the house! I only wish I had more time there.

Great Host and place, especially considering they vacation there as well. We love this area and come frequently during winter to get away. We highly recommend this place, just be sure to have 4x4 if venturing the area during the winter. Thanks again Catalin, we ll be back!

The place had an old fashion,yet exquisite feel with a modern touch. My family was very comfortable here and were able to see snow for their first time. The location was great; for we weren't too far from Sugar Mountain, where the kids enjoyed more snow activities. They knows Southern hospitality.

Absolutely stunning views. We had everything we needed to stay cozy when the winter storm came. The location is fabulous and very easy to get to the local restaurants. The condo was super clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the shuffleboard table while watching the snow fall.

House was an older home. Made us feel very comfortable. Easy to get to and had a fabulous view of the mtns.

We had a wonderful stay there the past few days. The condo was well laid-out and decorated nicely with a welcoming feel. Everything was clean and comfortable. The kids had a great time in the pool and hot tub. We hope to stay there again in the future. :)

I had a great month long early spring stay at this mountainside studio condo with beautiful mountain and valley views. The unit was clean, comfortable, relaxing, and was perfect for my very simple needs. There are many on site and nearby (non-ski season) mountain hiking trails and quiet neighborhood road walking routes. I appreciated having access to the heated indoor pool and fitness room in the community clubhouse. Overall, a wonderful spot for anyone looking to enjoy the mountains!

Kayla’s place was perfect for our stay. We found everything as described and we felt right at home.

What a great place! Also the host was very kind and great communication! Very nice place and only 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain. Wonderful amenities including pool, hot tub, sauna, library, shop, workout room etc etc. Only (potential) issue which is no fault of the owners is that this is a large 10 story condo complex. On busy days, especially around the weekend it can get very busy during check in and check out and you have to park outside of the guard shack and get shuttled back to the condo. Again, we didn’t really have much of a hang up but others did-just something to keep in mind. Fantastic place, and well equipped! Thank you again!

Perfect place to stay on my snowboarding trip, extremely clean space, beautiful view, and immediate access to the slopes. would definitely recommend, and if i find myself at coming to sugar mountain again i would absolutely stay here.

Whitney & Jay were great hosts—responsive and helpful when we had questions. The space was just as shown/described in the listing. My family of four enjoyed our stay during spring break and our first time skiing during Sugar Mountain’s end-of-season March Madness. We made such wonderful memories here.
