Family-friendly vacation rentals in Irvine

Stayed with 3 people and a small dog for 6 nights. Clara and David’s place was perfect. Stocked with everything we needed for our stay. David was very friendly, accommodating, and happy to help whenever we needed anything. The location is ideal and the place is like a little oasis tucked away in the city. Smooth check in and check out. Definitely would stay here again.

Camille was a fantastic host. Very friendly and responsive. The location is great and very quiet and peaceful.

This house was great for our family. We felt comfortable letting the baby crawl around here, and the kitchen and eating area were a good size for 3 generations of people. There was a nice supply of children's toys and books too. Suzy is a good communicator and did everything she could to accommodate our needs. I will note that we underestimated our ability to walk 1.7 miles to and from the Disney property on top of walking the park. We ended up driving to Disney even though it was close. Uber is also a good option. Also, we paid to have the pool heated, but the outside temp was in the low 70's while we were there and it was still chilly. So it made for some expensive swimming. My recommendation is to really consider how much time you will be at the house, and be realistic about your tolerance for the temperatures.

My girls and I really enjoyed our stay! Very peaceful atmosphere, exactly what we needed & what we were looking for. Only complaints is we couldn’t experience the waterfall (would have made my daughter’s bday even better) & also the pool heater. This prevented us from using the pool at night (water was cold) we would have LOVED using the pool from morning till night to take full advantage of the beautiful pool but like they mentioned, it’s expensive to maintain, so I def understand.

I can’t say enough about this property. When you picture a historic SoCal neighborhood and house — this place does not disappoint. But it has all the amenities. We wanted a good convenient location in the LA area to celebrate my wife’s birthday that would give us a fantastic place to hang out but also easy to access cities nearby, especially visiting my son in Anaheim. Not only was this location easy to access, the backyard pool set up is perfect for relaxing for an entire day. The house itself is so beautiful, comfortable and charming (plus a great place to watch a movie at night). Everything about this stay was perfect — my wife cannot stop talking about it! Combine that with a fantastic host! Jorgen is easy to communicate with and very flexible (plus — he has a great taste in movies!) My family said “this has to be where we stay when we do family meets up in SoCal from now on!” I highly recommend staying at this beautiful historic property.

The house was exactly as pictured and described. The pool was great! I loved that they had toiletries, made it so easy to check in late and not have to immediately unpack. if we needed anything, Carmen responded within minutes! The drive to Disney was a BREEZE! Such a beautiful home, very clean and very comfortable. John and his wife were always available. We drove in a little early and were able to accommodate us. My family and I enjoyed are stay and had an amazing time!

This was a great place to stay for our family trip to Disneyland! It’s literally right up the street to the parking structure. Easy to get to. Plenty of eateries stores and Starbucks nearby! The house was clean and very accommodating. Plenty of things in the kitchen stocked so we could prepare breakfast. Cute Disney pictures in the rooms. And they stocked the fridge with our favorite beverage!! Thank you so much!!!

The house in Balboa Island is a little gem. Super comfortable, warm (we had a couple of cool days), with everything we needed to feel at home (even a French coffeemaker and coffee grinder!). The rooms provided privacy (important when staying with three 18 years old women chatting and listening to music nonstop!) and we could do our laundry too. Ed was a magnificent host, responding immediately and offering good suggestions on the surroundings. The island is just gorgeous!

Every thing was good and perfect. We enjoyed and sure we came back again because we had best time there.

Roger was a kind and thoughtful host and his house is equipped with all the comforts needed for your stay in LA, especially for those who want to enjoy the beach

I had such a great stay! Everything was super clean and well-maintained, and honestly it looked even better in person than in the photos. Not only was the room fantastic, but Mike and Le were amazing hosts. They answered any questions in a flash and were so kind — I’ve never experienced such great hospitality. I really appreciate it, and I’ll definitely be back next summer — hopefully it’s available to book, because I’d love to stay here again.

Edmunds place was a super nice stay in one of our favorite beach towns! You could see and hear the ocean from either of the balconies and some windows. Other than the remote being harder to use and the steps there wasn’t much that was inconvenient about the stay. We would definitely stay again!

Rosie's place was fantastic. This house is equipped with everything you need! From a fully stocked kitchen and pantry, extra towels, hot water, private back yard, beach chairs, surf boards, extra blankets etc. Each room had its own A/C. We were 4 adults and had plenty of space. This house is really setup up for families with children, young or old, both the inside and back yard. We felt right at home and found everything we needed without any issues. Highly recommended!

The house was in a perfect location, so close to the beach and local restaurants. The living areas were spacious and were larger than they looked in the pictures It was great to have plenty of children’s toys and the games machine was an added bonus, for children and adult’s alike! Beach chairs and equipment were appreciated, We had a really lovely stay and would definitely return someday.

House was perfectly set up to host our family. We had 4 small children and they felt right at home with all the Disney decor and toys to play with!

This was one of the best AirBnb's I have stayed at. Jan was friendly and left several extra ammenities inside the home. The location was in a safe and walkable location. The outside seating areas were inviting and relaxing. My stay was very enjoyable and I will be returning when I am in the area again.

This is our second stay with Bill and we hope to stay again in the future. It's a great little spot with so much stuff to do within walking distance. Very clean, well stocked and a great space for us, 4 people one dog. Our dog loves the place as much as we do. Nice doggy door and patio area. Close to a dog beach and a beautiful neighborhood to walk around in. Highly recommended this place and Bill is a wonderful host.

Kate went above and beyond as our host! She took it upon herself to find a babysitter for us, sending multiple sitters' contact info prior to our visit. The unit is spacious and in a terrific location - one of the most beautiful neighborhoods I've ever stayed in. You can literally peek at the nearby lagoon beach from one of the bedrooms. We spent two days hanging out in Long Beach and one day at Disneyland. This is a great jumping-off point for Disney as the drive was only around 30 minutes. Can't recommend Kate's place enough!

We had a great time with a group ranging from a new born baby to 70+ year olds. The space was great with lots of areas to sit, relax and have quality time. The neighborhood was gorgeous and walking along gardens at the canals was a highlight. The hosts were super helpful making sure baby cribs, etc were available so we didn't have to travel with as many items- we really appreciated their efforts. What a great stay with great hosts!

Well looked after apartment outfitted with all the amenities and cookware such that you'd be happy to have a guest here and feel very much at home yourself. Plenty of places to check out along the main drag and the beach is a short stroll. Blake and Brenda were proactive and communicated well.
