We would love to greet you but are also fine with allowing you to access with a code on the front door. We live nearby and are happy to make suggestions for dining or things to do. The care taken to honor the atmosphere of the original 1910 house creates a feeling of another time and place. The house is secluded in a prize winning garden and approached through a stone pergola. The Craftsman furniture, lighting and antique Persian carpets reflect a distant and captivating sensibility. This house has been featured in three books and “American Bungalow” magazine. We are located on a quiet, eclectic street in a canyon with lots of trees and great neighbors. Near beaches, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Little Italy, Gaslamp and the San Diego Bay. Near grocery stores, movie theaters, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Important: We meet all guests personally upon arrival. Please, no smoking/vape, no pets, additional guests must be pre-approved. Communication is essential, so please read our house guidelines before booking, and welcome to our home!

Dog friendly in heart of Hillcrest

This is a dog friendly home with no extra dog fees and a great backyard that is strictly yours and your pups to enjoy. Airbnb calls it a guest suite but it is one room that is attached to the back of my house with private entrance, deck, private bath, microwave, frig, keurig machine with pods (no kitchen) and one free off street parking space big enough to fit a Ford F-150 trucK. There is some highway noise outside but windows are double-paned, so quiet inside. Smoking is fine outside.
