The space
Welcome to The Rustic Rectangle, a cozy retreat stocked with everyday essentials for a comfortable stay. Relax in the living space by the fireplace, enjoy a movie or games, or use the drop-leaf bar for meals or remote work. The couch also converts to an XL twin for extra sleeping space.
The kitchen includes cookware, dishes, coffee maker, toaster oven, and an induction cooktop for simple meals. While there’s no traditional oven, an outdoor grill is available.
The bedroom offers a full-size bed, closet storage, and space for luggage. The bathroom is fully stocked with towels and toiletries so you can pack light.
Outside you can unwind on the porch, gather around the fire area, soak in the hot tub, or request kayak rentals for nearby lake access just a short drive away.
Whether you're visiting Pendleton, Clemson, or Lake Hartwell, this is an easy place to relax and recharge.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home and porch area, including the corn-hole boards, outdoor heater, hot tub and BBQ grill. Kayaks may also be requested for rent when available.
To use the kayaks, guests must bring suitable transportation to carry one or two standard single kayaks.
Lake access is a short drive away (not within walking distance), with nearby entry points at Leisure and Sunset areas, along with additional locations a bit farther out. ( recommendations are listed in our welcome book.

Pets live next door and free Roam, whiskers our blonde kitty, grey our grey kitty & Kody our over affectionate dog, he loves to give hugs and may great you upon arrival.
PRIMARY GUEST REQUIREMENT:
To comply with Airbnb policy, the booking guest should be one of the individuals staying at the property. If you are reserving on behalf of someone else, they must have their own Airbnb account if applicable and be added to the reservation before check-in so everyone is properly covered.
HOUSE RULES, ARRIVAL INFO & PROPERTY GUIDELINES
By confirming a reservation, guests acknowledge and agree to the following property guidelines and care requirements.
ARRIVAL & CONTACT: Check-in is at 4:00 PM unless otherwise arranged. Children live nearby, so please enter and exit the property slowly and carefully. The door will be unlocked upon arrival; a key is located on the coat hook if needed. Texting is the easiest way to reach me anytime (including after hours): Cell number is listed in my profile details. If you need anything during your stay, please reach out I'm always happy to assist you anytime.
DEPARTURE: Check out instructions are provided for your convince in our welcome book. No need to lock up at checkout — just leave the key where you found it and close the door behind you.
NEIGHBORHOOD CURTESY: Please be courteous of quiet hours. (9:00PM-8:00AM)
GENERAL PROPERTY CARE: Please treat the home and furnishings with care. Lift furniture if moving please do not drag (including the sleeper sofa)
The drop-leaf bar locks when raised; release the latches underneath to lower. Please brush off food after grill use.
KITCHEN USE: The stovetop is an induction cooktop and works only with the provided cookware. Place cookware on the burner before turning it on. Toaster oven may be used for baking, air frying, and reheating. Fire pit supplies (starter cubes and matches) are located under the kitchen sink if you plan to use it.
HOT TUB: Use at your own risk. Do not turn off power or heat unless an emergency. You may adjust the temperature. Keep lid closed and clipped when not in use. For stays longer than 4 nights, maintenance may be required to keep water clean (we coordinate timing).
PETS: Pets must be added to the reservation; a $55 pet cleaning fee applies. Use the provided purple towels to wipe paws. Do not use house towels, blankets, sheets or pillows for pets. Please bring your own bedding or supplies for pets. Guests are responsible for any pet damage.
KAYAKS: Available to rent upon request (when available). Guests must provide transportation to nearby lake access points. Use at your own risk.
SMOKING POLICY: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. (indoors or outdoors) Evidence of smoking or lingering odor will result in a $300 remediation fee and possible additional charges for blocked nights. This policy applies to cigarettes, marijuana, vaping, and all other smoking substances.
SECURITY & SAFETY: Exterior security cameras are present around the outside of the home (no audio recording). Viewing monitor is located in the bedroom closet for your viewing convenience and comfort.
SHORT STAY GUIDELINES: (1–14 Nights)
To keep the space comfortable for all guests:
• Please leave all dehumidifiers running during your stay
• Report any water, AC/HEAT, plumbing, appliance, or maintenance concerns promptly so they can be addressed early.
• Weekly waste tank emptying will occur with advance notice before access
EXTENDED STAYS (15–28+ nights)
-Two brief routine property checks may occur with 24-hour notice, if atmosphere proves to need assistance, mid-stay cleaning may be required for listed cleaning rate, including freshly laundered towels and linens.
-Weekly waste tank emptying and Hot tub cleaning service with notice
-Dehumidifier must remain operating
-Report any water, AC/HEAT, plumbing, appliance, or maintenance concerns promptly so they can be addressed early.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Guests are responsible for damage resulting from misuse, neglect, unauthorized alterations, or failure to follow normal property care instructions, including proper use of provided equipment.
These procedures help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for both current and future guests. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
