Lake house vacation rentals in Gun Lake

Please know I'm biased, as this place is right on Barton Lake, where I spent my formative years in the 60s living in a house barely a mile away. So, I was prepared to be swept away emotionally. The house was on the North end of the lake, a place we on the South end called the "seedy side". In the ensuing 50 years, much has happened on the North end, all to the good unless you're thinking of buying a place there. Alanna went out of her way to make our stay as pleasnat and easy as possible, from giving is the entry code when we'd forgotten it, assistance with manipulating outdoor furniture and showing up with an umbrella for the outdoors table on a sunny day when we were expecting guests. The kitchen was the best stocked of any I've ecountered in a decade of dealing with AirBnBs. All that's missing is access to a boat. There were couple of kayaks (which we did not use), but that not yet erected deck could support a boat guests could use. Already booked for Oct wknd.

This place is beautiful & beyond relaxing. It was the perfect get away for Mother’s Day & not that far from the Tulip Time festivities. It was a little tricky getting there, but we figured it out. The hot tub and sauna for the early spring weather was magnificent. Waking up to birds chirping & the water was great. The kitchen has everything you need to cook & have a nice dinner. The place was clean & pics don’t do justice. It was spacious with lots of closet space & convenient having the washer & dryer. Super close to downtown Douglas. We LOVED SaugaTaco. We visted many beaches & lighthouses within a 30 min radius. That was my first time to Michigan & I enjoyed it so much. I would def return.

This stay at the Lang lake cottage did not disappoint once again. Every arrival is welcomed with a very clean house and updates on the property. They always respond to any question we may have. They really are a wonderful family to book with.

This home is absolutely amazing! We were in town for a celebration of life service and it was wonderful to have such a lovely, peaceful place to stay. The space is gorgeous - from the design of the home, to the amenities provided, to the beautiful lakeside setting - it was the perfect place for our family. The home is set up with everything you need, and more! The bedrooms are well appointed with very comfy beds, the bathrooms and walk-in closets are amazing, offering plenty of storage space; the living/dining area is large and comfortable; the kitchen is beautiful (and the hidden butler's pantry is so cool!). We had everything that we needed (and more!) for ourselves and our family who had gathered for the service. Craig is incredibly responsive; he answered all of our questions quickly and we never felt like we were "bothering" him! I cannot say enough good things about Craig and this home. It's truly a gem!

Great little place. Thoughtful prep with all toiletries, kitchen soap, laundry soap, linens, clear instructions. Soooo clean. Four would seem like the max number for a stay unless kids are pretty little. Highly recommend!

Was in town for work. Great place to stay. It was winter, so did not use the lake, but I imagine it is really nice during warmer months as well. Would stay again.

We loved this place. The ducks in the lake that visited frequently. The details were carefully chosen. The comfort, the stove, the spacing gave us room to move, the games created memories for us to enjoy and talk about. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Exactly as listed. Very peaceful area, plenty of room for a larger group! Easy access to all attractions in the area.

For our stay at Melissa Sherri’s, they went above and beyond. A storm knocked out our power for a day, but they were able to remedy our situation by getting us groceries delivered and asked if we needed something many times, which we really appreciated. They were very understanding of the situation and wanted to make the best of our stay. And they did! Thank you so much for a great stay! Communication was prompt and exceptional.

Great house with an outstanding location! We could walk to everything! The beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!!

It was our second year staying at Deanna's place. Unfortunately power was out for a while, but we made the best of it. Communication with Deanna was great and the the home had everything we needed - wish it had a dishwasher however. Would definitely recommend and we plan to return next year.

Great stay. We had a wonderful time and the arcade games were a bonus. House was so cozy. It started snowing just as we arrived so the views were gorgeous-even had a few deer show up to complete the view. Perfect place for a winter getaway-cant wait to stay there again in the summer.

House was stocked with a good chunk of things you’d need. It’s cute and clean with lots of information on things to do in the area. She had a mix of tea and coffee, which was super nice. I loved that I had everything to cook in the house- I’m not a fan of eating out. The only things I was like meh about were how tiny the bathroom is- that would NOT stop be from booking again. And the back yard wasn’t really a back yard- once again NOT stopping me from booking again. Lisa was very kind, she had clear communication, the house was a 10/10, check in and out was super easy. She makes it extremely easy to get ahold of her if you need anything. It’s perfect walking distance to SOOO much. Highly recommend booking this spot!

If i could give Samantha 10 stars I would. The house is absolutely beautiful. We stayed here for 3 months due to a work project in Michigan. The space was more than enough to accommodate my crew during the stay. Samantha was very responsive and very understanding. Without hesitation I would definitely recommend Samanthas home. And if we are ever in Michigan again, I will definitely book with her.

Modesta's Airbnb has all amenities for a lake house and more. we were able to use the Baddle boat and Kayaks. the place was clean and spacious. Modesta was responsive.The Lake house was worth the money.

Great location. Cool house close to the water. Definitely will come back when visiting the west side of the state.

We stay in many, many airbnbs and we both love this one. It is very private and very peaceful. We were there 4 nights and we were sad to leave. The KS bed was super comfy.The view is awesome. Can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved the house especially the decks! You can see beautiful sunrises from the bedrooms. Plenty of space for the family and entertainment for the kiddos. Everything was as described. Would book again if in the area!

Great lake house for our multi-family gathering. Pontoon rental was perfect for fishing! We caught our limit of bluegill each day. Young and old especially loved the swinging in the great room looking into the lake. Power recliner and couch made watching TV relaxing. Girls loved painting rocks. And our 3 year old grandson was in love with cars and toys to play with.
