Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Essex

My business associate were in town for work and Bianca's place was perfect for relaxing after working all day. The space was exquisite and just as described. Hoping to return with my wife for a vacation stay in the future.

The barnbrook was an amazing property with the cutest aesthetic! Would love to stay here in the winter, when there’s snow on the ground and could utilize the fireplace. We stayed and worked there off the wi-fi for four days, and I can’t imagine a better place to work!

This place is worth your stay, it was beautiful smelt fresh as the cleaner did amazing, I felt like I was at home the nice quite outdoors for my family to relax and see the view of lake Eden! Thank you for letting my family enjoy our stay, we will be back!

We stayed at Judi’s house (6 adults & 2 kids) for the weekend & had the absolute best time. Easy to find, clear & easy instructions, & Judi is so nice! The views/location and amenities made for the perfect relaxing weekend, while also being a short drive from Lake Placid. We wouldn’t have changed a thing, & would definitely recommend/return!

This tiny cottage is definitely a hidden gem in the Adirondacks ! Was well suited with just enough space for our group for our 2025 ice fishing adventure. Definitely well worth the value !

The place was perfect for 2 couples looking to spend a weekend in the beautiful Adirondack trails. If you want to save on food (cook by yourself I mean) and be within a 25min drive of everything, this is perfect. Thanks Vinny!

We enjoyed our stay at Kathleen’s house very much. There were 6 of us; my family and my brother’s. The house was very cozy with an open kitchen and living room space with high ceilings. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and many things we didn’t expect like breakfast foods, coffee, etc. The two bathrooms were both spotless and had lots of nice soft towels. The outdoor furniture was very nice and new and the property is private and nicely maintained. A few of us also enjoyed using the kayaks on the lake directly across the street. We were attending a family reunion at a house on the same street so the location was extremely convenient. We liked this house so much we would like to book again for our future reunions.

Very tranquil place, very clean shower, comfortable bed, great amenities, lots of magazines and easy to use television. Very short distance from Montpelier. Nice bird variety, lovely flowers, you can hear the river from the apartment. Bridge is cool, river bank is fun, chairs outside.

Great place to stay for skiing Sugarbush or Mad River Glen, convenient to restaurants and shops. Very quiet setting, just be prepared for a little bit of non-paved road to climb to access it. The apartment felt more spacious and open than I expected, and accommodated 3 adults quite comfortably. Wax bench was a nice bonus for us skiers!

This is a cute and cozy little space for a great price. The hot tub and cold plunge are also great, and Lynn was very sweet. Would definitely go back! The only con was that the internet was very spotty and at times just didn’t work, and since there was no cell service Wi-Fi was the only way to reach the outside world. Aside from that it was a lovely stay in a beautiful area.

We had a wonderful stay at Brian’s place in Jay, NY. The apartment was clean, cozy, and located in a beautiful, peaceful area with a big green backyard—perfect for relaxing. It’s just a short drive to Lake Placid, the covered bridge, and Whiteface Mountain, with great breakfast spots only 5 minutes away. Brian was a responsive and welcoming host, greeting us at check-in and making sure we had everything we needed. This was a perfect base for exploring the Adirondacks, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This property is delightful! Apartment is minutes from downtown Middlebury, right on the river and overlooking Dog Team falls. The apartment was great — really comfortable and with a terrific kitchen where you could actually cook (we didn’t, but it was fully stocked with cookware). And had a French press with great coffee, a personal bonus! Susan was a great communicator and very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Stayed for an event at Middlebury College. Convenient for our event and close to many stores and restaurants. Place is cost and well kept. Perfect size for a couple!

We loved Tim’s apartment for our Stowe ski weekend. It was just as described and in a beautiful setting. Tim was also great to communicate with and very accommodating when we had some last minute changes to our plans. Will definitely stay here again on a return trip - highly recommend!

Patricia was a fantastic host, her response time was extremely fast and she was more than accommodating to our special request. Will definitely recommend and stay again.

Lovely cabin, so cozy! My daughter loved sleeping in the loft and the beds are all comfortable. We loved all the personal touches and cabin decor. Easy drive over to Jay Peak. Would definitely come back to stay again!

Very clean space with welcoming charm and decor. Loved falling asleep listening to the river. Loved the hammock beside the river. Enjoyed coffee in the screened in porch listening to the river rushing by. The sauna was fantastic and easy to use. Bed was very comfortable. Very easy to get around to all the surrounding towns. Lots of restaurant options. Great experience all around.

Our stay at Merle's cabin was incredible. The home was cozy and beautifully decorated. The views..... Heavenly. Of all the places I've visited, this one is by far my favorite. My family and I were able to relax and unwind; something that is hard to do with such a busy work schedule. 100/10 recommend this place! Be sure to check out Parker pie while in town. Merle informed me that they use their family's cheese on their pizza and other items offered.

I was so happy staying at Brooke's cabin. There was so much to be happy with, I'll do my best to list them all! 1. Brooke was well responsive - I ran into 2 small problems and she was proactive and fixed them fast. 2. The whole place is super dog friendly! I am often worried where my dog is and isn't allowed in Airbnbs, not here! Brooke even left out dog toys, bowls,and beds as well! 3. All linens were cleaned, even the throw blankets! 4. the trail in the backyard is a nice touch! unfortunately I didn't have many non rainy days so only got to explore some of it, but it is a different world back there! 5. The kitchen is incredible: 3 different ways to make coffee along with a frother and a grinder! the pots and pans are chef's choice! and the knives aren't dull! I was well equipped to cook and theres plenty of space to do so. 6. the bathtub is a godsend! 7. incredible library! I cannot recommend this place enough!

We could not have asked for a better place for our eclipse adventure. The two bedroom cabin was spotlessly clean, well-appointed, cute and plenty of space for the 4 of us. We loved being out in the woods and enjoyed our walks around the pond enormously. Easy to get to restaurants and other activities, but away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. Not a thing to complain about, and would definitely recommend to anyone!

I only have great things to say about Christina’s place. The place was even better than the photos. As soon as I walked in, I remarked how cute it was. Christina communicated with me proactively and gave me a personal tour. She responded very promptly to communication and was lovely to talk to. Her place is serene and beautiful. I noticed a lot of thoughtful touches everywhere, including how the shower stall was built. (I 100% agree the shower head is amazing.) I enjoyed sitting by the brook and taking it all in. I was fortunate to have had the place to myself, but I cannot imagine there being any issues with another person or two there. Christina’s place was central to a lot of things I wanted to do in the area. I went on hikes and enjoyed delicious food. I would love to return this year.

Super cute area, definitely an authentic rural Vermont stay. Made us feel right at home in the nature. Outhouse made for an interesting new experience, but overall great get away.

We stayed here for our first family trip to ski two days at Whiteface mountain during the President’s Day long weekend. The cabin has what we need for this trip. The kitchen is well stocked. But as a good chef for the family I always bring my own frying pan and a pot, just in case. The owner keeps this place cozy, organized and clean. The full-size mattresses are slid and comfortable. Two things: 1. you may want to bring your own comforters if you like to sleep in cool air like us, the cabin bedding are light for four seasons. 2. The loft bed’s mattress may not be supportive for a tall person like my son. Overall speaking, highly recommend this place.
