Welcome to Old Hill Cider House! Located just steps away from the first row of Summer Rambo Apple Trees at Showalter's Orchard. The thoughtful renovation was just completed in early July. The former wash house could be a base for all your Shenandoah Valley Travels or this light airy and romantic little house is a comfortable and cozy place for your farm vacation. The kitchen is small but has all the basics, one queen bed, one bath. We look forward to making your acquaintance.
“360 views of just stunning beauty. The cottage has the look and feel of something straight out of a magazine. You're close to gorgeous hikes, an adorable little town and just outside the door is a perfect spot to just sit back and take in the incomparable views of Shenandoah valley. Side note: I really didn't expect to fall in love with cider, but this cider is fantastic - the only kind I've tasted that isn't too sweet and has complexities like wine.”
Experience true lake front living in this adorable home. Charlottesville & Massanutten Ski Resort are only 25 minutes from Green Acres Lake. Harrisonburg is only 30 minutes. This newly remodeled, beautifully decorated 2 bedroom, 1 bath home is the perfect place to spend a quality vacation any time of the year. We have everything you need to enjoy the lake including hot tub, canoes, stand up paddle boards, 4 person paddle boat, rafts, fishing and beach gear. The community also has a nice beach with pavilion. Golf course is 9 minutes way. Your dogs are welcome.
“This divine, little cabin by the lake has all you need for a great family vacation, couples’ getaway or personal retreat. My family of 6 had a wonderful long weekend. Any issues we had were quickly addressed by the owner. The three season porch was perfect for early morning coffee and fantastic family meals and our special Friday celebration! I love to cook and the kitchen had all I needed to prepare three great meals a day though you might need to pursue to the back of cluttered cabinets to find it. I lacked nothing to get the job done. There was a smattering of random spices and condiments but if you are planning some specific recipe I’d plan to bring what you need with you just in case. There is a keurig, a standard coffee pot and I think I saw a French press in one of the cabinets. Best of all is the outside area with all the fun stuff:boats, fire pit, babbling shady creek, corn hole, horseshoes, huge swing and zip line. There were plenty of life jackets and fishing gear - but I did need to you tube how to tie some knots and other basic fishing knowledge. All four of my kids learned the basics of casting with the gear there. All in all this went down as one of our best family vacations EVER! I highly recommend this place.”
This cottage is on a large, 110-acre farm in Rockingham County. On the property are three ponds (sorry, no fishing), hiking trails (sorry, no ATVs), and beautiful grounds. With the cottage, guests can use and enjoy the fire pit and seating (wood provided), outdoor grill, picnic table, and lovely grounds. There is a bug zapper to keep pesky bugs away. We would be happy to meet with you when you arrive to show you around. Close to Massanutten Resort. About 20 minutes from Harrisonburg.
“We enjoyed our stay very much. The entire property is beautiful with a lot of character and history. The hosts are friendly, very responsive, and helpful. The cabin is charming with all the amenities of comfort a guest could want or need. The hosts did an awesome job renovating the cabins and creating a cozy environment for their guests. It is close to Shenandoah NP so we enjoyed a day of hiking but our kids preferred exploring the beautiful farm. I did too. It’s a special place!”
