House vacation rentals in Downtown, Asheville

Great location in a walkable neighborhood of Black Mountain, NC. House is warm and inviting. We enjoyed our time there. Rooms are small and it is hard to imagine 12 people staying in this place. We are a family of 8 and it seemed a bit cramped at times. If you plan to eat meals together at the house it would be difficult to have seating for all; there is no real kitchen table. Kitchen is cozy, but they do have two, one upstairs and one downstairs in a cleverly concealed staircase. There is no dishwasher, so be prepared to wash and dry dishes if you eat at the house. Kids really enjoyed to pool and hot tub. Also the inside of the house is warm and inviting, personal decorations and books and toys will make a family feel right at home or potentially nervous that something will be left out of place or broken. Overall, we felt the place suited our needs and we were thankful for our time there. Hosts clearly love their home and have done a nice job making it a place that is inviting.

Home was beautiful and we had a blast! We were two families with kids ranging from 4 months old to 4 years old. Plenty of room and we didn’t even get to use all the games! The pool and hot tub were a blast! We really enjoyed each sunset at this home. Only 15-20 minutes to restaurants and breweries. Hosts were quick responsive and offered great suggestions. We also did Walmart+ deliveries for groceries and never had an issue. Thank you!

This was our fifth year staying at Elevacres. We have so enjoyed each visit. Kevin was, again, a great host. Thank you for everything. We will miss your home as our AVL rental, but can’t argue with you wanting that daily view back. Cheers!

Our mission team was in the area working with Hammer and Heart. We stayed at this house based on location, number it could sleep and the neighborhood. Checkin was extremely easy, house was easy to find. While there, the A/C broke. Nothing that anyone could foresee. Amanda was responsive by immediately hopping into action by sending fans to try to cool the house until the HVAC person could get there to fix. Amanda stayed on top of the problem until she knew the A/C was fixed. Thanks for the hospitality of sharing your house so we could help people in the area.

This house was the perfect space for a larger group of people! Everyone was very comfortable and there was plenty of space in both houses to accommodate. We really enjoyed relaxing and spending time with the different activities (pool, hotub, ping pong table, pool table, air hockey table, basketball, fire pit, grill hammock, etc.) and there truly was never a dull moment. The house was perfect and the guest house was a peaceful escape from the main home. Everything worked properly and the location was perfect for our group. The grocery store is around 5 minutes away, making it perfect for multiple stops throughout the trip. Our group drove 45 minutes to Pisgah National Forest and enjoyed sliding rock and the hiking nearby. Additionally, we went to downtown Asheville and it was so nice to be 15-20 minutes away from the area. We really loved our stay and could not recommend it more to others.

This stay showed us why we always prefer when the rental is owned by a person and not a big company, Trace was super responsive and easy to work with our entire stay. Location was fantastic and it was super easy to get to all the things in ashville we wanted to while still being in a home that was quiet and relaxing.

Great stay. My party of 7 found all the listed amenities available. The pool was closed, but they mention so on the listing. The hot tub was fine, but suffered from heating issues during the stay. We took to preheating the water by leaving it on for an hour or so before actually getting in, as otherwise it would hover a little below room temperature. There are so very many games there, nearly all of which come equipped with the necessary pieces to immediately play. They were very quick to respond as well. The trash cans were left half full from the previous guests, who had left the day before. This didnt allow us to fully empty our trash cans, but that was the only thing left noticeably unfinished. Also, although the downstairs master is beautiful, it does suffer from low wifi quality as well as jacuzzi heating issues. Finally, the internet isn't the best but is definitely doable. Only one reported outage, which happened for about an hour around 3 am one day so not too bad. 5/5

Haywood House was great! We loved the location and enjoyed walking to the local restaurants. It was an ideal spot for the week and everything about the house was convenient and easy, including the check out with minimal requirements! We hope to come back!

Such a great place to stay with kids, even has a small play structure in the private yard! Close to downtown Asheville and convenient to get everywhere!

This Airbnb stay exceeded all expectations — truly the Ritz-Carlton of home rentals! The home was absolutely stunning, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed with every comfort in mind. The location was perfect — tucked in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood yet just minutes away from all the local attractions. The fenced-in backyard was a dream for our pup, Maizy — she had the time of her life exploring safely! What truly set this stay apart, though, was the host’s exceptional hospitality. Attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind, they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Every detail, from the cozy interior touches to the seamless check-in, reflected care and excellence. We’ve stayed at many Airbnbs, but this one stands out as one of the best. We can’t wait to return!

Tonya's place is urban chic in southern Appalachian forest.. really convenient to the amenities of Weaverville and Asheville as well as nature and the wilderness. and a nice backyard gazebo for an evening glass of wine. It was larger and better appointed than I expected..I highly recommend it!!

This is probably my favorite air bnb I’ve stayed at. The home was so clean and beautiful, very comfortable place to be. I love that it feels lived in. The hot tub was amazing, the manual says it’s from 2017 but it looks brand new. The area the hot tub is in is private can’t see the neighbors, the tv next to it is a plus. There’s plenty of space to sit in the living room and the bedrooms are across the house from each other each with private bathroom attached. The hosts are very nice and super chill, they made check-in and out easy. All your normal and basic rules for an air bnb but the hosts made everything feel very relaxed and chill. You do not have to walk on egg shells. The owners have dogs, but you’d never know or be able to tell, they keep it very clean no smell or hair. Overall great place wish I could live here every weekend!

Our stay at Franklyn's Airbnb was simply outstanding. During a difficult time for the City of Asheville (damages due to hurricane Helene in September 2024), he pre-empted our needs during the power failure by ensuring we were comfortable. The house is thoughtfully and generously supplied with toiletries, snacks, and other conveniences. Franklyn is naturally a super host who goes above and beyond for his guests. All my friends took his contact information and plan to promote and stay at his place when next they are in town. Thank you, Franklyn. You were a God send. See you next time we are in Asheville. Also, praying for a speedy recovery for your city from the hurricane devastation.

We enjoyed our stay. It was clean, easy to get checked in, and David was quick to respond when I needed to reach him. We would definitely stay there again!

This was our second stay here and it was just as lovely as the first! The hosts are wonderfully accommodating and responsive, the beds are comfortable, and we had a lot of fun with the pool table and games in the house. It is close to town but feels so cozy and tucked away in the forest, with such magical bird songs day and night! We look forward to coming back again.

This property is stunning. The windows are enchanting and the decor is simple, clean, and modern, but also adorably trendy. You can access incredible hikes nearby and this home is only about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. One of the most beautiful places I have ever gotten to see, never mind stay in. Also, the host thinks of everything before you get there and is so thorough with directions.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay here! The view from the living room is spectacular on its own - not to mention the layout of the home is one of envy. I was taking notes on the tasteful and charming decor. We were lucky enough to be here on an evening when a storm was rolling in. Watching it approach from the porch was so incredibly relaxing. The only downside is there aren't really trails or anything close by, but I think the serenity and privacy you achieve on this property is second-to-none. We will definitely stay here again!

Peaceful Mountain View Retreat! This pristine Asheville home was so cozy and perfect for our family! Our grandchildren loved their “bear room” and secret reading nook. We loved having our coffee with a view of the mountains and bunnies from the front porch each morning listening to the birds! Communication was quick and easy, and hospitality was top notch with a welcome bottle of wine and popcorn! Convenient location, only minutes to downtown Asheville yet so many great local establishments nearby! We will be back :)

This was our third time working with Calile on a stay in Asheville. We are locals, but this was a perfect place for our parents and visiting relatives to stay while they were in town for graduation. The home was so welcoming and the location was perfect. Thanks for your hospitality!

My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves stayed. we loved the view, enjoyed watching the neighbors animals , the hot tub was amazing with a lovely view. The space was perfect for us. the host was great. we will book again anytime we won't to come to the area. we normally hike and go shopping or check out the town/ city...we never left the property. we will explore next time, but we were so comfortable. We definitely got to relax. book this place...you WONT be disappointed!
