Needed a house to use as a central Thanksgiving spot for area family, not living there ourselves. We had a dog, and we were in charge of all the cooking -- basically, we needed a facsimile of our own house. Tracy and company gave us just that, a home away from home. Plenty of compliments from the assembled relatives. No surprises, inside or out, cozy and functional. Communication was copious and prompt, no issue when we had to trim a day off the original plan. Highly recommend.

Excellent location for peaceful respite and yet minutes from town for ease of grocery shopping, dining, visiting family and the Chisolm Trail Museum, etc. We loved the options for outside seating and used them extensively. We loved the visiting birds and mooing cows. Even saw a wild turkey duo gallivanting through the pastures. Appreciated the binoculars! We hope to visit again soon.

Camping at its best! w/stock pond and river access

The weekend was so relaxing. A nice little getaway from the city life. Enjoyed fishing on the pond and river. Kids enjoyed being outdoors. Jacuzzi was awesome to be in. We took our movie projector and set it up on the house and watched movies outside by the campfire while the kids made s’mores.

The cottage is lovely and the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous! We stayed here over the Thanksgiving holiday and it was the perfect spot to be close by to family in Victoria while also being able to enjoy some peaceful time off. Beware if you have reactive dogs, there are lots of deer and several neighboring off leash dogs—but we had no issues!

I stayed here for a weekend as a solo getaway - brought my dog and spent the weekend writing. It was beautiful! It felt more like a friend of a friend had gone to some trouble to set up a guest room for us, and was doing everything possible to make me feel at home. The place is comfortable, clean, welcoming. There's a gorgeous porch out back where you can watch the cows, and one out front in a butterfly garden listening to a water fountain. My dog tried for three days (unsuccessfully) to make friends with the cows. They were curious but unwilling to chase him! Seriously: this is a beautiful place. If you're looking for peace, quiet, and a chance to feed some catfish and learn about ranching from friendly and generous people- do yourself a favor and spend some time here. I hope I can come back!

If you want a nice country setting this is it! Elizabeth was very flexible and accommodating. One of the cars had a dead battery and luckily she had some jumper cables. The apartment was well furnished and clean, with plenty of bedding. The kitchen had plenty of coffee, and a full bag of ice . Overall a nice experience. Thank you!

Tambra was a great host! She was always responsive and helpful. This place is close to everything and I would definitely stay again! I would say it is a somewhat busy street so you do hear the traffic passing through. I would recommend bringing something to drown out the noise if you are bothered by it, otherwise great place!

The house was quaint and exactly as described. The host was quick to respond to answers for questions submitted it was an older model home but it was clean, organized, great A/C. 3 bed rooms nicely decorated and comfortable beds. We were there for the William Martin Comedy tour and enjoyed our stay. only minutes to the event and dinning
