House vacation rentals in Danbury

As soon as we walked into Sarah’s place, my daughter proclaimed it the “BEST HOUSE EVER!!” Everything was clean and organized, and there were so many little things that helped us feel right at home. The house is perfectly thought out for families with young kids and made our stay so convenient - from baby gates, step stools, high chairs, kids’ kitchenware, lots of toys and books, and of course - the treehouse. The house is a ~15 min drive of Saugerties, Woodstock, Tannersville, etc, which made it so convenient to get around and go out to eat. We also did hiked the Kaaterskill Falls, which was absolutely beautiful. We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Sarah’s, and my kids have been asking to go back again soon!

The pool house is so cute and the outdoor patio is gorgeous and the perfect place to relax. Great place to stay if you want to stay near New Haven but also want to enjoy quiet away from the city. Sue is a responsive and very generous host!

Great house and great host. The place was beautiful -- big kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, great bathrooms (especially in the master bedroom), nice setup outside (jacuzzi and BBQ), etc. Perfect place for a family weekend in Litchfield. Location was perfect -- a 2 minute drive to great coffee, pastries, bread, ice cream, etc. in Bantam. Liz was an excellent host -- very helpful and responsive. We'd love to visit again soon.

An amazing location when you want to get slightly off the grid for peace and tranquility. Everything you need to truly slow down, dial out and get peace, quiet and rest. An amazing spot for a weekend getaway. If you want to find yourself amongst serene surroundings and a quiet, private wooded area, this is the place. Just enough modern amenities to be comfortable, but just basic enough to make you slow down. Tanner the host was the most responsive and helpful host of any of the airbnbs we've ever stayed. Truly went above and beyond at every turn to make our stay as comfortable as possible. More than accommodating with every request.

The house was great! Our two infants loved the large deck and pool. So close to town and the beach. It was a perfect getaway!

Beautiful house, even nicer than the photos. Great location to tour local wineries and close to the greenport’s Main Street! The house is stocked with plenty of cooking utensils and has whatever you might need. Would definitely consider coming back in the summer to enjoy the backyard when the pool is open!

This space is so lovely, the hot tub worked perfectly and provided many cozy nights outside. The plants are BEAUTIFULLY tender and bring a loving atmosphere to the space. the linen sheets were so wonderful at the end of the day. we made it up the hill in a Honda insight, but if it were a tiny bit icy I don't think we would have been able to make it. definitely use 4wd if you have it. the hosts were very responsive. if the noise is too much in the bedroom at night (critters, rain,etc.) be sure to use the fan they provide, it helped us a lot :) the kitchen was a delight to use. sharp knives. big, metal surfaces. nice gas stove. big fridge.

Our family had an incredible time at Christie’s “mountain house” (as our kids called it). The short walk to the river was priceless and we enjoyed the fire pit every night. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!

We had a wonderful time at Mirav’s place in Woodstock. Made great use of the hot tub and the fireplace. We absolutely plan on returning soon!

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at Enrique's Rhinebeck home. It's out in the country, very peaceful, and very quiet at night. About an 8 minute drive to the charming town of Rhinebeck. We were out riding the rail trails during the day, but when at the house, really enjoyed the deck, hot tub, and screened porch (later at night when it got buggy). The kitchen is well appointed. Bedrooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side. Definitely would consider staying here again if ever back in the Rhinebeck area.

We had a wonderful time at this place for our mini moon. It was relaxing, beautifully decorated, well stocked with everything you need! The hosts were very responsive. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! For anyone coming from NYC we stoped at Pho Tibet in New Paltz for lunch on the way home and the food was amazing!

Great spot to gather with friends. So close to trails and lovely towns. Loved the wood stove and hot tub!

Thank you so much for hosting us. Even though we had to cut our stay short the time we spent there was truly relaxing. The house is perfectly situated to watch a mountain storm or sunset. The nearby woods are perfect for a mid afternoon stroll.

Me and a few friends stayed in Shane's place for a weekend getaway and we had an amazing time. The house was beautiful and the area was beautiful. We were initially a bit wary of the house due to the previous comments about bugs in the house but we didn't encounter any and the house was totally clean. It's a good distance out of town to feel secluded and part of the environment but not too far where it was inconvenient if we needed to run into town. Definitely recommend a stay, Shane was very communicative and easy to work with and made sure our trip went off hitch free

My family of 4 had a wonderful time! Host was responsive and helpful. We enjoyed this awesome home and would definitely recommend. Kitchen was well stocked and we found the home warm and inviting. The layout is very cool and my girls loved their “castle” bedroom :) thanks so much for hosting!

Had a great stay at Seth’s place. Plenty to do in the area, incredible amenities, and lots of fun games. We’d love to come back.

Mahmoud was a wonderful host. Very responsive, pleasant, and helpful. His home and the views were spectacular, and the koi pond was beautiful. It’s a great location to stay while visiting West Point, as it’s a quick drive across the Bear Mountain Bridge. Our large group felt comfortable and welcomed. One of the bedroom descriptions could have been listed a little clearer because you need to pass through the master bedroom to get to it. Luckily our family was ok with that. We would stay again.

Lovely stay- the place is clean, perfectly located and the backyard is perfect for the spring summer season. Gillian was also very helpful and accommodating

A lovely house in a private location. Our kids loved the games, watching movies on the projector, and watching deer from the window. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was comfortable.

I stayed at Mary's rental with my sister's family including a 4yo and 6yo, as well as my 72yo mother and the house was a perfect fit! The downstairs bedroom and full bath were perfect for mom to avoid the steep stairs, and the house was well equipped with a ton of kids books and some toys. Proximity to town was the highlight, we were easily able to walk with the kids which was perfect since the weekend was too chilly for the beach. Mary was responsive if needed but the house is well stocked and easy to navigate so we felt at home right away. I will absolutely be renting from Mary again!

What a beautiful place to spend Christmas!! Before moving to Australia next year we wanted one more cold snowy holiday. While we didn’t have as much snow as we’d hoped, it was still an amazing stay. The house is so homey and comfortable. With two young neurodivergent kids it’s hard being in a new place and the kids room was absolutely essential to our time there. The mattress in the primary bedroom is heavenly, and the overall decor and vibe of the house were incredible with enough room for everyone to have their own space (MIL included!). The kitchen was perfectly stocked and felt like we were right at home. We made a day trip out to Hunter Mountain to go tubing and a trip down to Kingston to Aldi and Target as well. Noah and Brandon were absolutely amazing hosts, Noah was extremely responsive even before we booked, and made sure we had what we need as our trip got closer. I would absolutely make the trip again and am so thankful for the memories we made!

Paula is great host , super friendly and place is top notch . It’s a go to place for us if we have to visit near by again.
