it was a super nice area, quiet. by car fifteen minutes from como lake. the house was beautiful, a veranda with a great view of the mountains and it was also pleasant to stay if it was too hot outside. we felt right at home. the family was extremely welcoming, they are ready to help you with all kinds of questions. even when we had to go to the hospital they helped us well. for anyone looking for peace and a beautiful area, we highly recommend this airbnb

Great view, nicely equiped and the host is responsive. The only downside is that it's a bit discouraging to go down to varenna since it's an hour walk down, the bus is every two hours or more, and taxi can add up if you're going up and down a lot. If you keep that in mind, it is a great stay :)

just spent 8 days at emanuala's place. what can can I say, the pictures don't do this place justice. it was absolutely amazing and emanuala is an exceptional host , very responsive and making sure the whole time during out stay that everything is OK. highly highly recommended, thank you again for such a wonderful stay!

Absolutely classic Italian lakeside location! The narrow, winding roads are intimidating for the first few hours, but soon you’ll be cruising the lake view roads like a local. Not a ton of options within walking distance, but a small general store, a lovely cafe and bar and a couple of restaurant options are just enough to keep you fed, but still feel out of the fray. We visited in November, which I’m sure helps the town not feel touristy…can’t vouch for it in the middle of summer. The building is impressive, with a rustic living room on the ground floor and two crisp, renovated floors above with the bedrooms and kitchen, leading out to a large and lovely roof deck. The hosts were friendly and super helpful with recommendations. We would definitely visit again…maybe longer and with friends!

Liebe Arianna, we had a fabulous time in your beautifully appointed and furnished apartment. The location is absolutely great for exploring around Lake Como from. You and your husband are such warm hosts. It was an absolute pleasure to stay with you. We would come back and always recommend you. Mille grazie 🙏

Carlo and Mary really do their best to have a good time. They respond quickly to questions and are very attentive. You can hardly wish for better. The same applies to the apartment. Well cared for, clean, spacious and with extensive amenities. You really don't need anything. A stunning mountain view from kitchen, room and balcony. In the immediate vicinity is a somewhat larger supermarket: Carrefour and a few smaller shops within walking distance. When we were there, at the beginning of September, there was little to do. It is an excellent hiking area and especially a ski area. Unfortunately, my wife had knee complaints and therefore little to walk together, especially because all the hike goes up quite steeply. A windfall was a functioning cable car next to the bar within walking distance. This will bring you up approx. 700m. (€14 pp) The road from the Como valley to the apartment goes up a lot and is quite narrow with quite a few hairpin bends. It prevented us to go to the lake more often.

The cottage was decorated with a lot of love and prepared for the guests. The tranquility and the view is unique. Everything was super clean and the amenities left nothing to be desired. Everything has been thought of! Arriving and feeling comfortable 😊 Fabio welcomed us very warmly and the communication was also smooth. We were very comfortable from the first minute, also our dog was welcome. We liked it so much that we left the house and garden only for hikes. If you are looking for peace and nature in connection with a very cozy cottage, this is the place. We will be happy to come back!

I could tell that Adriana worked very hard to please her guests. I would definitely stay there again.
