Places to stay in Lucerne

I highly recommend this listing to anyone visiting Switzerland. My parents and I didn’t have a rental car, but getting around Sarnen was easy, and we even made a day trip to Lucerne without any trouble. The place is beautiful and exactly as advertised. More importantly, Roland and his family were incredibly gracious hosts. They made us feel welcome from the start and gave us great recommendations to help us make the most of every day. And of course, I can’t forget to mention Mimi, their cat, who was so sweet and made the trip even more memorable.

Incredible place to stay! Unique accommodation with the most comfortable beds and couches. Very cozy with everything you need and perfectly clean. I loved the style! The location is perfect with supermarket very close, Basel City Center just a 20 min drive and the beautiful Allschwill Forrest in walking distance. The host couldn’t be friendlier- thank you so much!!! Can recommend this place 120%.

Had a lovely stay at Ruth’s place. The views are beautiful and the location was very near to interlaken but above the mountains we had a great view. Ruth was very helpful and communicative. Highly recommend staying here. Can’t wait to come back

Natalie is the best host ever, the vila is gorgeous with a large garden and all amenities. we strongly recommend.

The apartment's view is absolutely gorgeous and I would rate the rental 10/10 just based on the view alone. My family and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony taking it all in. We also enjoyed all the large windows that let in tons of light and showed off that beautiful view. I had a couple of questions during my stay and the hosts always responded timely and helped with anything needed. I will say that the small bed in the living room is squeaky and loud, even with a gentle sleeper. My 11 year old woke herself up everytime she would roll over, which also woke up the other 2 kids in the living room. So, I'd definitely recommend a sound machine or something like that, or maybe bring your own air mattress. Another small detail -the freezer is tiny, so if you're planning on bringing freezer food rethink that! We had brought frozen food and couldn't use the freezer. Again, these are minor details that would not discourage me from staying at the apartment again. We loved our stay there!

The view is just incredible! Also the hosts are all welcoming and warmhearted! Celine is very kind to give instructions around the area and we really had fun! 10 out of 10 recommendations!

Awesome stay at this AirBnB. Great location, fairly close to main bus station. Very walkable to many attractions. The host was always quick in responding to any of our questions. I would stay here again without hesitation!

The uncomplicated and very friendly Aline welcomed me, showed me everything briefly. A beautiful studio with comfortable bed, clean bathroom, simple kitchen but with everything you need. Great garden with pond; very private & on its own without disturbances from the outside. Large closet as storage space, easy access incl. Parking. All in all a highly recommended stay with Aline. Thank you!
