CANYON:Bunkhouse by Mesa Verde Nat'l Park

The Cabin is exactly as described - definitely rustic and no frills, but the land is beautiful, the showers are warm, the kitchen is well stocked and the host is great. A beautiful getaway spot or home base to explore the surroundings.

This is a very rustic gem away from everything, I absolutely loved how peaceful and quiet it was and I’ve never seen so many stars at night in my life! Elena was incredibly friendly and the hospitality was phenomenal!
The front porch of a log cabin features a wooden railing and a covered area with an umbrella. A decorative letter 'E' is placed prominently, while a metal table is visible in front. The setting is surrounded by greenery, enhancing the outdoor ambiance.

Very quiet in a small little camp ground right on the river. Ideal for the locations we wanted to visit right in middle. Would go again

Secluded Cozy Cabin in the Forest

PaulRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We initially had a little trouble finding the cabin: the Google map attached took us up the neighbor's driveway. But after fumbling around a little we found it and moved in. (We stayed a week). Everything was as advertised: the kitchen facilities were fine (hot plate, microwave, refrigerator;no stove). The shower worked well, bed was comfortable, good chairs and tables. The single large room was set up well, and didn't feel cramped. No closet or other storage. We enjoyed being in it, and especially enjoyed sitting out in the rocking chairs on the porch. The WIFI was good. Lighting could have been better. Even with numerous lamps spread around, it was still a little dim for reading. The location for us was fabulous- every morning we walked up the dirt road 5 minutes to the Boggy Draw trailhead and walked a different trail before breakfast. We drove out to Hovenweep, to Mesa Verde, and one day made a long loop over Lizard Head Pass. Overall: High quality rustic cabin in the woods.

Serene Dolores Cabin w/ Patio & River Access!

MelanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Such a perfect place! First off the place was clean and well kept. Kitchen had everything needed to be able to prepare meals for my family. The river right out your window was such an amazing addition to the place. We got lucky with some fresh snow so my children were in it every day. Great location and beautiful surroundings. Would love to stay again in the future! Also the garage door was a pretty cool feature of being able to open up to include nature but yet they have a magnetic screen to keep the bugs out. Truly enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Bandit Ranch. A country escape in beautiful SW CO

JadeRating, 5 stars3 months ago
My husband and I rented the whole place for just the two of us and our two dogs. It’s large enough for a huge family to sleep comfortable, we spent the whole week playing pool and darts. Our dogs loved the property and we were able to take them on long private walks. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals daily. Dolores had great food and Cortez is only 15 minutes away which is larger for shopping. Alek was very responsive when we had any questions. Overall we really enjoyed this stay and had such a relaxing week to start our 2025 off right!
