Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Boone Lake

Jared checked on me throughout my stay to make sure everything was fine due to the weather conditions. the house was conveniently located for me access where I needed to be with minimal effort.

I enjoyed the stay. She had beautiful art work displayed in the house and I loved the decor. My son and I felt very safe a couple of evening we took walks in the neighborhood. Even though the place is located on a main street, it was a nice area to walk and enjoy the location.

Awesome house. Awesome neighborhood. Fishing poles provided. Great story for a great house. Will stay again next year for Large Cars and Guitars V!!!

This was our second stay here and it was just as fantastic this time. This is by far the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in - responsive hosts, amazing house, perfect location. 10/10.

We had a lovely stay at the Red House. It felt like walking into Grandma’s house, for it was a perfect time capsule of the 60-70s. Has all your basics to get you through your stay. Wasn’t anything flashy but sometimes that’s all you need. Would definitely recommend for a couples get away.

Russell’s place was picturesque! Easy to find, easy check-in. Beautiful views all around. Our 2 families spent a lot of time on the wrap-around porch and chilling in the lake. Gorgeous views of the lightning storm above the trees. Lots of local wildlife: we saw hundreds of fireflies? Some deer, possums, Canadian geese, birds, cats, cows, squirrels. I don’t know that I’d come back with toddlers again, but we made it work. Would definitely recommend to a big group of adults! Plenty of big comfy beds!

We had a great week at Pie in the Sky. The views are spectacular and the home is welcoming. Although there are other homes nearby, the neighborhood feels so peaceful. We enjoyed quiet mornings and evenings on the deck. Options for daytime activities are plentiful in the surrounding area. (Grandfather Mountain, Boone, Blowing Rock, Linville, Asheville) Corinne was very responsive with any questions that we had. Any issues that we had were quickly resolved. The home was well appointed with everything we needed to settle in and make the week easy. We picked up groceries at Lowes - a short drive west. The hot tub was so nice after a long day of hiking. My kids loved the separate lounge area and the cabinet of games. We would love to stay here again.

Amy’s place was perfect! Exactly as shown in photos, had everything we could’ve possibly needed, & she left water bottles on the counter for our arrival :) We had a quick one night stay and Amy’s rental was great for us.

Warren’s place was great for us and we had everything we needed. A beautiful location, very relaxing. Next time we are bringing the s’mores supplies!

Vickie was so friendly and very accommodating! We were in the area for my son’s wedding at Allandale Mansion. The bride and groom stayed here before heading out to their honeymoon destination. It was absolutely perfect! I would highly recommend staying here and working with Vickie. She was very helpful to give advice on other places for other family members coming in from out of town as well.

Johnny’s place offered everything I needed and more for a night. It’s easy to walk into and around the little town Banner Elk, but it also has beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Johnny and his wife are very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my visit!

The photos of this charming condo do not do it justice! It’s very spacious, clean, and has everything you need. It’s also in a great location near many restaurants and shops. We would definitely love to stay here again!

it was a cozy little studio apartment. it was walkable to downtown activities. it was quiet.

Loved it! It’s nestled about 15 minutes away from downtown. Good size for the price. The only odd thing was there was cookware but nothing to cook on. Will stay here again if we visit again.

Simon and Julia are super helpful and kind. The place was just as expected, kitchen was fully equipped, everything was clean - and beautiful views. You can hear the neighbors pretty clear upstairs - but you can’t do much about that - plus it was disclosed in the listing. So overall I give 5 stars to Julia and Simon because THEY were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - super responsive, I will definitely be returning ❤️ p.s. my bro forgot his wallet in the bnb after we checked out and there was absolutely no issue going back to find it - they are a delightful couple.

Whitney was very personable, couldn’t figure out the gate and she took a personal call without hesitation to help. So close to all the great places in town.we will be back.

Kyle was helpful and responsive. The place was very clean and the decorations were beautiful. My friend and I had a girl’s weekend and wanted different rooms (because we like to sleep in opposite temperature) and this fit us perfectly. We each had our own bathroom and the beds were very comfy. It was nice to have a kitchen and laundry option too. The directions were easy and Banner Elk is a 5 minute walk. The best part was the 180 degree view! I miss it already and didn’t want to leave! There were deer outside our window both days so that was a bonus. We would stay here again for sure!

Amanda’s hidden gem was an amazing spot for me and my boyfriend to escape reality from! Check-in was very easy, and her space was very easy to find. Her space looks just like the pictures and we felt right at home. Amanda was also kind enough to supply some light snacks and coffee cups for the place which we were very grateful for! It was very clean, and we felt very safe and right at home. We were also able to have access to the country club, which we went for the hot tub which was so nice! The view from the balcony was amazing!! Overall, we loved our stay with Amanda and we will be back for a ski trip!! :)

Fabby’s place was perfect for a mountain weekend getaway! The Airbnb was extremely clean and matched the photos exactly. We brought our dog along and it was a great setup for having a pet. Fabby was so responsive and always answered our questions quickly!

This is my third stay at Hunter’s Airbnb and I’ve really enjoyed each trip! The condo is spotlessly clean and very airy, and has a stunning view out the large front windows. It’s well set up, with a surprising amount of room for stashing your stuff. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, and I loved taking walks there. There are also lots of hiking trails very close by, although a few are currently still closed due to damage from Helene. The internet is very fast and dependable, which is not always the case at Beech Mountain. I’ve used my stays as a writing retreat and always get a shocking amount done, while soaking in the lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

Thoughtful touches! From little signs with helpful info to ear plugs provided to lovely linens on the bed! This is our second stay here. It feels like you are miles away from the noise of civilization but it only a few minutes up Sugar. So, you have the babbling stream rushing over the rocks out back to listen to, but can get to Food Lion or restaurants in just a few minutes.

Heather’s place was amazing! We loved all the amenities and attention to detail. Phone chargers were available, a closet full of clean linens & some items available if you forgot to pack them. The kitchen was spotless and every utensil you might need to whip up a meal was there. Living area had plenty of seating for more than the 3 people in my party. Bedrooms were spacious with make up areas. All finishes & fixtures were updated and high end. The doggy house under the stairs was so cute! Close to many restaurants and attractions with a guidebook of suggestions. Heather responded quickly when I texted and was always very kind & gracious with her communication. It was a lovely place to stay!
