Well, what a wonderful place. Agith and his wife are wonderful people. Friendly, super accommodating nothing is ever a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Ranil’s villa is absolutely stunning. Not only is it in a fabulous location right on the most beautiful beach, it is huge with a beautiful internal courtyard garden, spacious rooms and lots of beautiful furniture. It’s really on a completely different scale! The pool is amazing, really big and wonderfully warm. In addition Piyal the villa manager and the team provide an amazing service and experience and Piyal was really super helpful. We would definitely highly recommend this villa and we hope to stay again one day.

What a gem of a place and Till is a lovely host! Easy to connect with and always helpful with recommendations. There are so many thoughtful, artistic, beautiful and useful touches throughout the house. It has a unique vibe and is very well done from bedrooms to bathrooms to outdoor living spaces. AC/fans in all rooms keep you cool. Also the best lounging sofa ever.... Breakfast every morning was icing on an already wonderful cake. Mahesh is a master in the kitchen and we were so impressed with the magic he would create for our family from scratch each morning.. He even gave me a cooking lesson one morning so I could recreate his hummus. We had falafel wraps with garlic aioli and many other creations throughout the week. No need to go anywhere for breakfast, we had the best chef in our home. I did a few yoga and exercise classes at The Well (a short walk away) which was also a highlight of my time in Ahangama. Couldn't recommend the place enough...thanks for a great stay!

If you’re looking for a tasteful, tranquil and thoughtfully designed place to stay - look no further. My whole family adored this villa. We especially enjoyed looking out to the rice paddies at peacocks and all kind of animals. It’s the kind of place where you don’t feel like you need to rush or even leave at all! The staff are so lovely and prepared a delicious breakfast every morning and kept the place so tidy. The furnishing is so fun and tasteful and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches like electrical sockets that didn’t require adaptors. The kitchen is also fully equipped so great if you feel like cooking a few meals. It feels more like a holiday home in a jungle rather than your standard Airbnb. Highly recommend! Will be a tough act to follow as we head down the coast.

Madampa House is a beautiful villa, full of wonderful surprises, from the view of the lake, the swimming pool, the dining areas and the wildlife! On top of this Jayantha and the staff were excellent, attending to every detail with perfection. The Sri Lankan food was so tasty and the hospitality was 1st class. Jayantha arranged an itinerary packed with wonderful experiences that our family will cherish forever. Thanks for everything and I really hope we return soon 😁

Myself and my friends had an incredible experience staying at this property. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect ,peaceful yet conveniently close to everything we wanted to explore.

So, you’re obviously looking for accommodation in south-west Sri Lanka – well don’t look any further than Sailor’s Bay. From the minute you enter this paradise, you will be welcomed and charmed by Dilan and his family. The environment is gorgeous – any stress totally disappears. Nothing is too much trouble. They are engaging, and genuinely go out of their way to ensure that every second of your stay is a second to remember. Our family (13 – 3 generations – ages 2 – 74) was continually astounded by their willingness to do the best by us . It was a sad time when we left, but happy in the knowledge that we will return. So, take my word for it – Sailor’s Bay will not disappoint even the most pedantic traveler.

When planning my trip to the South Province of Sri Lanka I was looking for an authentic, calm, modern, clean and one of a kind accommodation. The BoBo's Cinnamon Estate Duwabedda met more then my expectations. I am still dreaming of the soft breeze, the shy smell of cinnamon, the peacocks who visited us before heading to the next lot (this time a rice field), the smooth awakening early in the morning (gentle prayers of the Buddhist monks from far away, early morning songs of the birds...), the lovely Ceylon tea, the host's topless tuk tuk that brought us to the sea side, Galle and other destinations, and so much more... Catrin and Bharatha were caring and loving hosts. They were present yet discreet. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Very friendly host and family! Check-in was flexible, the place was clean and the breakfast was delicious. You can walk to the beach in 5 to 10 minutes. By bus you can quickly get to town or other beaches.

Really nice place. The room was really nice and the view of the lake was wonderful, especially when sitting on the balcony in the morning. A bit secluded and you have to take a tuktuk to get to a restaurant, but lovely if you want a quite place close to the jungle. Me any my girlfriend did some video meetings from the room one day which worked well and there was two tables And two chairs in the room. Great for remote work.

Very nice welcome from Amila and her family. The house is a little off-center, but Alima transports us wherever you want. The price is reasonable and displayed in the room. Alima and his wife cooks very well. We recommend it.

It’s hard to describe just how amazing this place is, what a gem! The house and grounds are a haven of tranquility. The furnishings are just like my fantasy house, so many beautiful antiques and artifacts. Gorgeous dinnerware and beautiful table linens. The breakfasts were delicious, with eggs from their hens and freshly prepared curd from the cows. Even the muesli was homemade! Staying here made it hard to go out and explore as we really didn’t want to leave the place! The pool looks very natural and has a wonderful setting overlooking the jungle at the back of the house. We saw monkeys passing through every day. Guy was a fabulous and very attentive host, looking after our every need. Mary cooked us a delicious evening meal one evening after a game of boules in the gravel drive. Sitting in the veranda with a glass or two of wine was a great way to start the evening. I really can’t fault this place, so much to say!! It’s certainly the nicest place I’ve ever stayed in Sri Lanka!

everything top indescribably nice family, great sandy beach , everything imaginable was organized by Nishal and his family. the food of the MaMa was excellent! quiet location. Pure paradise!!

wonderful stay, amazingly beautiful arrangement. especially loved the cabaña with jungle in the bathroom. felt a bit of lack of privacy cause stuff coming to clean pool somewhat randomly, without taking in consideration that people might be sleeping or would prefer to have some privacy. the menu is overpriced so are the transportation options (almost double of what one gets on pickme or uber). would be great to have some alternative to the sri lankan breakfast as well.

my boyfriend and i spent three days at Bandus wonderful jungle house. Even next to several Shops and Restaurants you couldnt hear anything and the whole area was nice and quiet.Sometimes we were sitting on our balcony, only for counting the animals whose come by here and there. Distance to the beach was also not very far. Our breakfast was very tasty and Bandu and his wife are awesome and always open for a chat. all in all we had an amazing time and would definetely come back some day!

We loved our stay at Jungle Loft. Immersed in nature and so peaceful & relaxing. There are only four rooms and each has been designed so you have complete privacy which is amazing. The enormous bath, outdoor shower and hanging chair were particular highlights of our room. The breakfasts were delicious and we also chose to have dinner one night which was of the highest quality. A huge thank you to Indika and the team - this was perfect way to finish our two week trip across Sri Lanka.

We had a great time at the villa as a group of friends. It is really fantastic and the staff (Cliff and the team) are super warm people who always tried to help us with everything. For example, for my husband's birthday, they helped me organize a cake and decorate the villa. The service and delicious food were also great. We can recommend the villa to anyone looking for something extraordinary and luxurious in Sri Lanka. It should be noted that the villa is located directly on the sea, but due to the strong current you can't go swimming in it. This did not bother us because we used the pool and still took nice walks on the beach and this is mostly deserted. All in all really FANTASTIC and UNIQUE, paired with the best hospitality, which made us feel super welcome.

Wow simply stunning. We don’t normally go to the extreme of writing such lengthy reviews, but Malabar House is hands down one, if not the best Airbnb we’ve ever experienced. The second we arrived at the villa we were blown away! The lovely Ramya (the house lady) greeted us with a welcome drink and showed us around the property... The large living / dining area is wonderfully light and airy - it felt straight out of a magazine! Full of character with gorgeous furnishings. We’d only just scooped our jaws off the floor when Ramya pointed to the courtyard, and swimming pool - utterly amazing! Very private and full of charm. Couldn’t believe we had this all to ourselves. The overall size of the villa is huge - we didn’t use the bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs, but the master suite was perfect for us. Everything was immaculately clean and well presented. There’s also a large sun terrace so plenty of space to spread out if you’re a big group. It’s worth noting how quiet and peaceful the villa felt... a proper haven. Location is 10 out of 10. The villa is within the heart of Galle Fort. There are lots of cafes, restaurants and shops on the doorstep, everything within the fort is walking distance. We found wandering around the historic streets really charming. We’d also recommend venturing further afield to some of the nearby beaches, around 10-15mins by tuk tuk. Henri (part of the house management team) gave us some great recommendations for places to go. Highly recommend The Shack on Dewata Beach for a sundowner whilst watching the surfers out in the sea. Also, make sure you get Ramya to cook dinner for you - her food is amazing!!!! Highly recommend the prawn curry for dinner and egg hoppers for breakfast!! She was so sweet and caring, spoiling us with wonderful breakfast every morning and serving tea and coffees throughout the day :-) Madhu, the young caretaker was also very sweet, leaving us a cold glass of water every night by our bedside and waiting for us to come back from dinner to lock the house on an evening. Honestly we can recommend this place highly enough. Just stay here, it’s a dream!
