Our stay at Unakanda was homely, comfortable and yummy. Manoj and the rest of the team were amazing to deal with. Special mention to the chef for making the most amazing food and the most unique omelet. He accomodated all dietary requirements and specifically for my 10 month old daughter who loved the food too! The place itself was pure modern luxury in such a beautiful natural setting! The only and only suggestion would be a fumigation of the outdoor bathrooms once a month because I wasn't able to use the outdoor bathrooms much post 6 pm due to the various insects but having said that, these bathrooms were AMAZING too! Definitely recommend staying here and will definitely we visiting again very soon!

This villa is truly breathtaking, we could not have asked for a better place to unwind. The pool, and gardens are stunning, but the house is breathtaking. An original villa with old world charm and the kindest caretakers. Nickey the wonderful chef was an amazing cook, preparing Sri Lankan breakfast for us daily and cooking fish for us one night! We stayed 3 nights and only went out once. Nicola was a really responsive and lovely host. I could not recommend this place enough for a place to disconnect and relax.

Our family of 4 had a lovely stay! The villa is so peaceful and quiet, surrounded by paddy fields with so much wildlife to see whilst relaxing in the pool! Sylvie is really helpful & responsive and Gayan was great in welcoming us, advising on local activities and arranging for his sister to cook us a really nice meal at the villa. We wouldn’t hesitate in fully recommending and would love to come back!

We had an INCREDIBLE 2 weeks at the Tree Retreat! We live in Dubai so wanted somewhere inland with a lot of nature and Claire’s place was just the ticket. We came with 3 kids under 8 and my in laws too. The villa itself is so peaceful, nestled in almost a jungle. The villa is spacious and the garden is an incurable oasis for the children. The staff is what truly makes this villa stand out. Chandana and Priyantha went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Chandana organised some amazing day trips for us! Udawalawe safari, a turtle hatchery, trips to Galle fort, Doli Ella falls, local fishing boat and the numerous tuk tuk trips to Hikkaduwa (only 15 mins from the villa by tuk tuk). We spent many days on Hikkaduwa beach - wave diving and making friends with the life guards. We had several meals in Hikkaduwa (upon recommendations from Claire and her staff)! We loved our holiday and will come back in December for the season on the south west coast! Thank you!

A great villa with spotless cleanliness, spacious rooms, and neat, well-maintained bathrooms. Equipped with all essentials, the villa offers 24/7 security, and the caretakers were extremely helpful. The food prepared by the cook was excellent as well. Overall, one of the best beachfront villas out there. Valentina was incredibly helpful and always available to assist. Highly recommended!

Great villa. Clean, stylish, comfortable. Felt like summer home. We were able to park the van conveniently next to the fence. Several great restaurants at the walking distance. Citra was our favorite pick. Very nice and helpful host. Thank you!

We stayed in the great accommodation for two weeks and felt right at home from day 1. Kumari was always there as soon as we had questions and made us feel very comfortable. The space is a small oasis in the middle of the action. You can have your peace or you can be right in the city or on the beach. I would love to book directly for next year. Maybe we'll do that too :) My family, two adults and three children, felt more than comfortable. We will be back :) A beautiful country with the nicest people. Thank you <3

Really loved staying at Soul House. Elspeth is a super host, she is so kind and helpful. She was there with recommendations and advice throughout our trip and weeks before, making our stay seamless. Beautiful villas in an authentic and natural location. Very clean, lovely pools and garden space leading straight onto the empty beach. We were so well looked after by everyone and the food cooked for us by Jagath was incredible. Julius was also very helpful and quick to respond to queries. Would very much recommend a stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at South Point Villa. We were 5 adults and 4 kids and the set up was perfect. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There’s a chef for all meals or you can eat out at close by trendy restaurants. The location is very private at the end of the beach area so no one walking on the beach. It was also very secure with a security guard and watch dog at night so it felt very safe. The views were beautiful and relaxing and you can swim at the beach, our kids would swim in the mornings too during the low tide. Sonali was very responsive and helpful with all of our questions. We would recommend the villa to anyone and would like to return ourselves. Sri Lanka is a beautiful, easy and friendly destination.

Beautiful, secluded 100 year old restored villa with a lovely garden & grounds. The pool was awesome, great place to spend with the family. All the bedrooms were stylish & authentically design & beds & linen absolute top quality. Staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommended. Thank you all.

This house is impeccably decorated and maintained. We had 10 people in our extended family, and appreciated the en suite bathrooms and multiple common areas. The property opens up to the beach and the pool was a great asset. Our favorite part of staying at Villa Seeni was the team--the caretakers of the house are incredibly responsive and kind. Milan, the chef, is a gem! We sent our requests beforehand and paid for the groceries. In return we ate so well. He was accommodating of some of our guests' need for less spicy/more Westernized food and can whip up a stellar fried fresh fish or marlin curry. We would love to stay at Villa Seeni again.

The Wijayagiri villa made for a fantastic hub for us to see the Weligama area, daytrip to Galle and have chilled days nearby on the beautiful beaches. Lal and the staff at the villa were super friendly and very helpful - we had great breakfasts cooked for us at the villa each morning, with flexibility on timings, and a great Sri Lankan style dinner on our last night. The food was delicious and the staff cover all the hassle of shopping etc. The photos online do not necessarily demonstrate the great size of the villa - the outhouse has two bedrooms separated from the rest of the villa which gives it extra space and a great layout. The staff were so helpful in arranging transfers, helping with moped rental, sorting in-house massages for us as guests. We would thoroughly recommend this villa and would happily return - the area has a great balance between authenticity and fun restaurants/beach bars etc, as well as of course easy access to great surfing if that is your thing. This was the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had! From the moment I booked, the welcome was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Nicolas sent a lovely message right after booking, and the villa staff were instantly responsive via a message group, helping with tuk-tuks and any questions. The villa is absolutely stunning—sleek design, beautiful decor, and a breathtaking outdoor area with a large pool - my jaw dropped for hours upon seeing it. The peaceful location, complete with morning visits from monkeys, made it a truly unique experience. A special thank you to the amazing staff, who went above and beyond to organize my mum’s birthday with flowers in the pool, a fruit basket, fireworks, and a cake. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property, and it was truly a serene escape! Surrounded by lush coconut trees and vibrant plantations, the atmosphere was peaceful and calming. The presence of playful peacocks and hens added to the charm. The beautiful pool was the perfect oasis for relaxation, allowing us to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. Uncle Jagath, our host, was incredibly lovely and attentive. Despite a long delay in our arrival, he kept in touch throughout the evening and graciously waited to welcome us late into the night. His hospitality made us feel right at home. Uncle Jagath also provided excellent recommendations for local drivers and nearby attractions, ensuring we made the most of our stay. I can’t express enough how much I enjoyed this experience, and I’m already looking forward to returning with my family! Highly recommend this hidden gem! 🌴✨

We had a lovely time at the villa..pasan was very communicative and helpful and the staff were very friendly- they were there when we needed them and away when we didn't.

We went as a group of 7 women and first-off felt extremely safe and well-cared for. The food cooked by Sachith and Akash (the house manager and staff) was incredible and the pictures of the house do not do it justice. The view straight into the beach and ocean is absolutely perfect. Could not recommend it more!

We were 6 adults staying for a week - we just wanted to hang out and enjoy some downtime. The villa was exactly what we needed - spacious, bright and an inviting pool surrounded by jungle. We felt right at home! The team at the villa were great and helpful whenever we needed. Down the road from Unawatuna by Tuk Tuk and the local beaches, plus Galle is super close too. We had such a lovely stay! Kokila and Hen were so welcoming and they checked in on what we needed and our meal plans way in advance. They went the extra mile to make the place feel like home. The photos don’t do the villa justice, it’s much more lovely in real life and it’s obvious a lot of care has been given into the place. The food made by their in-house chef was also very very tasty. Would love to come back again!
