In an hour-long experience, visitors will meet and play with this year's babies. These babies are bonded to humans and will climb all over you. Near the end of the hour, visitors are welcome to visit the rest of the goats and I'll be happy to answer any questions they might have about goat life. (Don't see a date that works for you? Guests will meet host either near entrance to the Catskills in Palenville, New York, where the spring rains are bringing color back to the mountains! After meeting and a brief safety orientation, we will head to the specified trailhead and begin a guided trail hike, stopping for occasional breaks, snacks and moments of admiration. We will meet at Poets Walk - nearby trail that is inspired by artists and poets of the Hudson Valley and beyond. This trail is a scenic 2-mile loop with various lookouts and places to sit and meditate throughout the grounds. We will begin together at the head of the trail to review the guidance on breathing practices for your walk and a focus for your medicine. With social distance and mask requirements if this area you are expected to also practice compassion :) While together masks are requested and once we begin and we choose to separate at least 6 feet apart from each other - you may remove your mask to fully breathe in the mountain air and relax - please be mindful of others on the trail as well. Once we arrive to our designated meditation spot ( a gazebo overlooking the water and woods ). You will be guided through gentle physical movement to prepare for a guided meditation. Beginners are encouraged and seasoned meditators are encouraged to practice what you know and deepen your awareness. As part of your meditation practice, you will receive a healing gemstone picked just for you and your intentions. You will be given instructions on usage and care for you to take with you on your meditation journeys. This wonderful experience will begin by meeting at a local grocery store where supplies can be picked up. You will then follow me to the secret trail head (shhhhh). After some warm ups and introductions we will embark on our hike (3 hour) where you can expect the first 45 minutes to be mostly incline but moderate. We will then connect to the Appalachian Trail and continue to the top of Race Mountain for some of the BEST views in the entire Berkshires. These are breath-taking. Lunch/Snacks will be broken out and time can be spent resting, taking photos are chatting. This is the halfway point. From here, will we hike along the ridge for more incredible views and eventually return to the magical hemlock forest. Along the way integrating some Forest Bathing techniques like "walking in Forest Time" and a "Sit Spot". Walking a little further will bring us to a beautiful pond (Plantain Pond) for the option to take a dip (weather permitting). This refreshing time will feel wonderful as we make our way back down the mountain to our cars. The stroll back to our parking is easy and wonderful for conversation and reflection on our amazing hike. Other things to note: * if there is only one person booked the minimum charge is $120 for the 3.5 hour hike. If I book 2 or more the regular charge is honored. In the South Egremont Village of The Berkshires, just 10 minutes away from Great Barrington you’ll be welcomed into my cozy Rüna Glassworks home studio where you will choose the color of and create a stained glass crescent moon using the copper foil technique to take home with you. Masks will be mandatory, and please do not come if you have a cough, fever, or any other cold-like or COVID-19 symptoms. We will make our best effort to stay 6 feet apart, but there are times during my demonstration and shared larger equipment use that you may be closer to someone than that! During non-Covid times max class capacity is 12. Currently it’s 6. All equipment and surfaces will be disinfected between classes.
