Cabin vacation rentals in Upper Cataract Falls

We’d had a last-minute cancellation at another Airbnb in Kentucky due to flooding in that area. We immediately looked for a new place that we could escape to for some nature & unplugged time, and stumbled upon Garrett & Ewan’s listing—luckily a short drive for us. It is a gem of a find! Cozy home in a private setting with trails and on the water—hot tub was a bonus! We loved sitting around the fire pit, too. The loft was perfect for our teenagers. The rockers on the porch were our go-to in the morning for coffee. We commented several times on how it would be even better to stay in the summer—lots to do outdoors for all. The beds were a bit firm but that is just a personal preference. The house was clean & comfortable—definitely made for a great escape from the busyness of life. Garrett & Ewa were incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. We were grateful they accepted a last minute booking! It was just the type of R&R our family needed.☺️

The cabin made for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. The deck has beautiful views of sunrises over the lake. The home is updated nicely and very comfortable while still being very immersed in nature. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

Very beautiful home! One of the most beautiful we ever stayed in Indiana. Interior and exterior of house were perfect. We travel a lot, almost every month and got spoiled with beautiful locations/houses/details. And this house deserved to be one of the best. We love the comfortable furniture, beds and even bed sheets. It was nice to see Christmas tree already set up during thanksgiving week! Kids and us loved it Thank you very much!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our night in this beautiful cabin. Michael was very friendly, and let us know to reach out if we needed anything. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and cozy. The pictures almost don’t do it justice, the view is stunning and double deck porch was awesome. We spent the night having a fire outside, what a serene experience. Definitely would recommend.

Really nice housefor family and friends! Super cozy, with super comfy furniture. Everything you need and more! Big kitchen, lots of things to do, games, movies (dvds)… The owner responses were always fast and friendly. A place to revisit

We stayed at Melissa’s place with 6 adults and a toddler. There was plenty of space for us. The beds were extremely comfy, bathrooms very clean & kitchen was well stocked. We loved the s’more supplies that were left for us, such a thoughtful touch! We also enjoyed letting my toddler “fish” in the pond, eating our meals on the deck and sitting by the bonfire. A short drive to Nashville. We had a great stay!

My husband and I brought our 4 kids for spring break. The house and view are amazing. The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was overall a great stay!

A lovely, homey cabin on a beautiful property! While we didn't get to fully enjoy the pond because of the chilly weather, we appreciated the view. The entire property was clean and well taken care of. We felt very safe, which was important for three ladies traveling alone. Mike was easy to reach out to for help when we had a mishap with the fireplace. A very welcoming host who goes above and beyond with Midwestern hospitality. You will not be disappointed!

Peaceful, clean and comfortable space. Well stocked for cooking and plenty of room for our family of 4. The hot tub was clean and private. Only 10 minutes to little Nashville, if you want to do some shopping or eat out, but we could have just stayed in place and would have been happy with just being there. Our teenagers enjoyed walking along the creek during the day and playing board games at night. We enjoyed our time there and would return.

My family has stayed in this cabin 3 times. It’s absolutely beautiful. Everything you need is right there. 15 min to town which is perfect. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Angela's place was awesome. If you are visiting this area, it would be tough to find a better place to stay. Angela, was on top of check in/out guidance and made sure we were all set for stay. Great host and a great home.

We booked this cabin last minute and are so happy we did! It’s not far from downtown which is where everything is that we wanted to do. Hard Truth, among other wineries and distilleries, is why we decided to venture to Brown County yet again. The host is fast to reply and very transparent about the ins and outs. The property is stunning, the cabin has a lot of character, was super clean and perfect for our stay. We enjoyed looking and reading about all the history in the living room area. The multiple bedrooms and bathrooms were fun to pick which we wanted to occupy! We’ll definitely be back and plan to stay more than one night next time. Before we left, we did walk over to say hi to the horses. The hot tub was an added bonus, too. We plan to save this listing and share it with our friends. Definitely worth it being only a few hours from our home!

Elaine's place was wonderful! It was clean, well organized, and beautifully decorated. She has thought of everything. While the long gravel road to get there was a little intimidating, it was well worth it. When I first arrived, the home and rooms seemed smaller than they do in the pictures. However, as I walked around I was pleased with the space and layout as it includes 3 levels, plus outdoor and garage (gym) space. My favorite spots were the hot tub and loft.

Three of my brothers and myself stayed at the cabin from Nov 7 - 10, we were in town to attend the Indiana vs Michigan football game. the cabin was as advertised and was a perfect match for us, we each had our own bedroom and private bathroom, the cabin is a couple miles off the beaten path, it was very quiet, secluded, the cabin was very clean, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Our hosts Peter and Suzanne, answered our questions promptly and provided lots of information. would recommend the cabin

Wonderful place to stay for a girls weekend getaway! Fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The host thought of all kinds of details to include from ear plugs, face masks, cotton rounds, and k-cups. Check-in was a breeze and stress free. If you’re at all wondering if this place is worth the stay, it is!

This may have been the most beautiful wooded, quiet, and beautiful cabin we've had the opportunity to stay in. It's very clear how much this home has been loved, with how well it's been taken care of. Pet friendly was the most important to me, being the mother of two fuzzy furbabies. We celebrated Mavis's 10th birthday here, and the host had everything needed to bake her a strawberry cake. Everything was set up perfectly for the humans and the furbabies alike. This is our third stay at Scout Cabin on Pleasant Farm. There is plenty to do (nature center, fun local restaurants, National Historic Register spots, covered bridges and especially the tranquility of the front porch and lookout observation tower nearby). Didn’t make it to the maze or viaduct near Bloomfield - next trip! Thank you for a lovely, serene stay!

I loved Jenny's place. We didn't have a lot of communication because we didn't need it. She explained everything I needed to know in a few emails. The place was easy to get into and the checkout requirements were terrific and easy. The rugged beauty of the place took me by surprise. In a good way. My dog thought she was in heaven. Lots of space inside and out. We will go back again, I'm sure.

Spent a IU football weekend here while visiting our daughter on campus. Quaint cabin in the woods that met all our needs. Chris’s instructions were very thorough. Only about 14 minutes from campus too. Great hiking in Hoosier national forest that was minutes away. Would be a wonderful place to stay also if you were doing a lake weekend over the summer.

We love staying at this place. It was secluded situated, and the Hoosier national Forest went hiking and running the entire stay loved the fire pit outdoors. We are vegan, so the kitchen is always very important to us. Had plenty of dishes and bowls and pots to use, which was great. We also noticed that many Airbnb‘s don’t have enough towels to use and star had plenty of towels to use not only for the bathroom, but also for the kitchen, which was a huge plus for us would definitely stay there again in the future. Anyone would enjoy the space. We only imagine what it’s like in the summer.

This cabin was perfect! We stayed for a quick weekend trip and the location was very nice. The cabin felt like you were escaping reality when you were in it. Very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Kimberly was wonderful to work with. Very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again for future stays in Indianapolis.

I had an incredible stay at this A-frame Airbnb! The cabin itself is charming, cozy, and beautifully designed, with plenty of natural light and a serene atmosphere. It was the perfect retreat for a peaceful getaway. The hosts were outstanding—extremely responsive and attentive, always quick to answer any questions or offer helpful recommendations. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a unique and welcoming space!

Terra’s place was so spacious and homey - beautiful, peaceful location and close to IU campus. Terra was so kind and accommodating throughout our stay. I hope we can stay there again.

I was in town with my daughter and best friend for the eras tour. We wanted to book outside of the city so we could come back to quiet and have a relaxing place to just enjoy our weekend getaway. Curt’s place was the perfect spot for this.
